To anyone unfamiliar with the group, i'm here for help! Fans are called Soopbyeol! Forestella has 4 members: Bae Doohoon, Kang Hyungho, Cho Mingyu (our leader) and Ko Woorim (our maknae). Mingyu and Woorim are opera singers (Woorim is the classical bass and Mingyu is the classical Tenor) while Doohoon specialises in pop, rock and r&b and Hyungho specialises in Rock, Tenor, Falsetto and Sopranist! They debuted in 2018 but currently as of 2021 are with Beat Ent (the same company as A.C.E!) Welcome to any new SoopByeol's!

@@jeanbougenville2786 the bass ko woorim and one of the tenors, cho mingyu, are opera singers. the other guy with dark hair is bae doohoon and he's the musical actor. the freak of nature is the red haired guy kang hyungho. he didn't have professional music training before forestella (he was in an amateur band). he was a chemical engineer by trade and he's the rocker with the freakishly amazing soprano voice. i would usually point them out by their position on the stage, but for some reason they are in a different order this time which is unusual and throws me off!

This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with Bad Romance which seems toxic version of their Lazenca Save Us, winning 5 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their new m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v.

as an army aka BTS fan I'm so proud of my forestella men covering this so and they deserve all the recognition and popularity and respect going for them. also i just know that the BTS las would be so happy and proud of this cover. also forestella really made this song their own with the harmonies and woorims deep bass vocals really made it different

@@komsu8035 basically means crossing over different genres of music, most of singers have a very solid vocal training (opera or musicals), some natural talents without training also happen, they sing from classics to pop, sometimes intermixing them. This is what I'm looking for, I've watched all performances but only SKZ seems to got similar 'grand' vibe for award performances, other idol's feels a bit plain, their song wasn't bad but maybe because most of them is rookies, they're not used to hyping the crowd, of course Forestella is rookies too but their music originally got that grand vibe.
Forestella is a crossover male vocal quartet formed through the JTBC singing competition Phantom Singer 2 in 2017, including 2 opera singers (tenor, bass), 1 musical singer, and 1 rock singer. They won and officially debuted in 2018. Their vocal skills are more intensively trained than K-pop idols. I think it's unfair to compare them with rookie groups 😅
