Love the styling of this car and I think Merc hit a great balance with giving you enough glitz and premium feel while keeping the price in line. It won’t give you that same Merc quality of heft and isolation but if you’re after that, go a step up with the C class. I think my only nitpick with this model, even with the base CLA, are the integrated headrests. I’d have to sit in one to see but I typically don’t care for them because unless your body type fits the designer’s model when creating the seat, the headrest height and angle might leave your neck all crimped.
Great review, just wanted to say that the chrome on top if the handle is for any Mercedes that has the keyless entry. If this car has no keyless entry, the handles will be only yellow.

Nice review man. This was on my list but then my wife got pregnant. Ended up with a GLB 35 amg. Same motor but heavier of course. Love all these new Mercs
About half a year later, the 45 has some options that are no longer available in the 35, premium sound system, driving assistance packages, etc. So, kinda makes it difficult for someone who really wants the tech but doesn't see the value in the 45's base price increase.
This was my dream car and I tried to get it but no dealers around me had it and to build one would cost an arm and a leg due to current pricing so I had to settle for something else.
I originally wanted the rs3 but it had a massive recall last year so I opted for the cla35, at the time there was only 8 of these within 300 miles, luckily I found one with all the options I wanted! Excellent car although I do wish I got the cla45 for the extra power
Got a 22 model. Please add BMS JB4 Tuner to get maximum power. It kinda made me smile stock. But just after 2 simple mods - K&N filter and JB4 Tuner (set it to level 3) this is SOOO much better. 👍 All mods about $750 ish
Did it get any louder with the JB4 tuner? I have a glb35 amg and the same JB4 tuner that you have is available for me. I assume you got no engine lights?
@@adicarlogeneral No check engine lights. I think a little bit louder because of K&N filter at Sport + hard driving you can hear the turbo spooling up. Get the Bluetooth interface with it. Much easier to communicate and change settings with the JB4.
@@KP-xi4bj So far reliability ok. 14k no breakdowns. Please purchase the factory scheduled maintenance with the car. About $3k. I purchased car from AutoNation. I purchased maintenance package wheel package and dent package. They said 1 was free if I buy 3. No pressure from the finance to buy maintenance because I asked for it. However they pushed the wheel tire insurance then said I can get a 3rd package free. The car got 2 nails in one tire 2 weeks in. Took it to dealer and they replaced for free. They will push you to get alignment/balance/rotation at maintenance appointment- not covered. It cost ~ $380.
Are you stupid? It’s AMG powered and styled. The none AMG you are referring to are the CLA 180 through to 250… AMG 35/45 are true AMG performance. Do some research
@scott. Shut the fuck son. You do some research. What do you know about AMG. I have been driving benz since the 90s. The fuck. You cats since an AMG badge and jump. It’s an AMG enhanced vehicle. It was Never built from the ground up by AMG. Go open the hood and see if the Engine has the “one man one engine logo”. Daimler used a marketing ploy to upsell their vehicles by sticking an AMG badge and styling to sell cars. Even the regular Mercedes benz have so called “AMG rims”. Get the hell out. You don’t even need to go Afeltebach to get educated about a True AMG made vehicle vs once with body styling cues just for marketing. The guy in this video himself has no clue. Just making videos for the sake of it. The True AMG are the 45, 63, SL, GTR version. Even a GT C which cost above 100K is not a True AMG compared to GT 63.
Would never buy another Mercedes. Biggest POS I’ve ever owned and had two of them. Nothing but problems and lemon lawed. The service is horrible too 3 week wait for an oil change.
