Me To, All Summer Longgggg. Until The Season Starts. Been Having So Much Tragedy Going On In My Family Right Now. Only Thing That Keep A Smile On My Face🙏🏼💔
Ahh yeah! They did it in a big way. Thanks Robbie. Happy for the team,Coach Staley,Gamecock Nation, Fam near n far. Wonderful game. The saying is definitely true,"Hennything is possible." Been a long long season but the ladies pulled it off in a big way.
That was our ring no matter who we played - it was coming back to Columbia SC. So happy for all the players especially Henderson and Saxton leaving on a high note.
When a team has a highlight reel for defense they're special. They balled out whole team came ready to complete the assignment. Love this team!!!!! ❤️🏀
For those who didn't believe it.DEFENSE WINS GAMES.When u can basically shut a team down from the gate(see first quarter) every thing else falls into place.
Still watching n wait 4 next season. This game proved a point. Don't care how well you scorers can shoot, if you can't beat the defense and control the boards chances are great you will get beaten
As much as I wanted to play Stanford, beating UConn for the championship is even sweeter and it's only given the program even more attention from the media.
Yes, and considering that we had gotten some measure of vindication by beating Stanford earlier in the year, coming back from an 18 point deficit, and then after having to cancel the 2nd regular season matchup with UConn in order to play the full SEC schedule, playing UConn for the title gives probably more legitimacy in the eyes of the haters than beating Stanford would have. Right or wrong, UConn is still the measuring stick of WBB, and beating them hushed way more mouths than beating any other team.
Thank you RR for being my number one source of all the games from start to finish this season. What a journey it was. Here's to a back to back next year!!
One year later, I watch this again. Destini and Alia, and all the girls, in the culture, creating dreams, loving the sisterhood. Greatness comes rarely in ones life, live it with all the gusto you can stand, and . . . Congrats Gamecocks, all . . . following coach Dawn Staleys' teams has been one one my greatest pleasures, as a 75 yrs young alumni. Thanks again, for a great team, this year, and the best coach and program, ever. GO GAMECOCKS 🐓
SC balled out today!! I can’t think of any other team much deserving of this title. They really proved that they’re the best team in the nation. As for the huskies they had a great run. If you would’ve told me a few months ago that they were gonna be a part of the championship game, I wouldn’t have believed it especially with all the adversities they were facing. Congratulations to the gamecocks🎉
Adversity? Not in March Madness. First FOUR games were HOME games. No one gets FOUR home games in a six game single game knockout tournament. Well except the NCAA pet. Just call it as I saw it. FOUR home games. Sheeeeeiit!
@@Dingle051554 adversity in their regular season. They played terribly throughout the whole season especially with the injuries and the losses to the unranked teams. This season could possibly be the worst Uconn has had in a while. Even with the home court advantage their performance still deserve some recognition.
Thank you Robbie, thank you for all the games. You've been consistent throughout the season. Congratulations to our Gamecocks, a proud SC fan from SA🇿🇦
Vicki is disruptive as hell!!!!! I love it.....Destanni career high... understanding the assignment...shoot the ball. She definitely left it all on the floor. Hey man it was alotta haterating going on and talk about how they not good enough to take another title. Like Maxwell say "don't ever wonder!!!!"....Im so happy for them!!! Now...we hit rewind and do it again next year. Let's Go Ladies!!!!!! Congrats man!!! Seriously!!!!
Thanks Robbie...we did it. The young ladies were AMAZING, Coach was AMAZING. Great season for us FAMS. Thanks for keeping us there in the moment, I felt a part of the whole season all season because you made it that way for many of us. Blessings to you and your family Always. Forever to Thee...To God be the Glory. Goooooooo Camecocks
Yes. The way Boston looked over her shoulder and saw Saxton miss Ododa’s pump fake and was there to cover was perfect. You can see Dawn get mad on the sideline when she thought Saxton was fooled but Boston was there to save the day.
@@cptbusstop92how did Boston even know? Like if she just happen to look that would mean her reaction time is off th chain. She had to know, maybe she had the dribble.
What I love about this team is that they play hard even when they are leading. They are not arrogant or heady. Just need to keep Zia Cooke under control. Thank you Coach Staley for your service to not just Women's basketball but the game of basketball regardless of the gender.
National champions. Wow even waking up this morning it still feels like a dream. I’m so proud of this team. The amount of adversity we had to overcome from the 2020 tournament being canceled to last year’s heartbreaker and to this years SEC Upset it all seemed like it would play a factor it this year’s tournament. But we stayed the course and stayed focus and we didn’t let up on any team. Aliyah got her redemption and she deserves it. She’s been the best player on the court since she was a freshman. Dawn is just continuing to cement her legacy as one of the greatest coaches in womens college basketball. Im gonna miss our seniors especially Henny And Vic. It’s gonna be bittersweet not seeing them on the court next year but I know they are gonna make their impact in the WNBA And what better way to end there college career than being a national champion. Appreciate for everything this season Robbie.🐐 AND YOUR 2022 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. Now let’s run it back.😭😏
Congratulations ladies on a great season. You stuck to your plan, even when others wavered. Thanks for taking us along on the journey. Thanks for all of your hard work.
Just from watching this game it makes me happy that Iowa didn’t meet South Carolina. When I first saw us in the same bracket, I thought “shit” 😂. Congrats to SC on winning their second national championship!
Yeah it would've been the same defensive lockdown on another 1 of espn's favz ~caitlin clark ! But ms. clark ...poor thing couldn't even break the defensive code of creighton. Imagine the nightmare of goin' against the #GamecockWBB relentless defense. It would've been sad 4 iowa fans but pure elation 4 #GamecockWBB #FAMS ...esp after coach lisa bluder had been runnin' her BIG mouth !
It woulda still been a good ol fashion south Carolina ass wupping! Iowa was overrated anyway.Be safe my friend peace out and...go gamecocks go ride gamecocks ride!
@@godzchild3445 yeah that was a rough game. SC is just good what can we say. If we play in the final four this year I hope it will be a competitive game but SC might run away. We’ll see what happens. I have a lot of respect tho for the SC players and Dawn Staley. Class act program!
RR thank you I had to work last night and could not watch. But I was keeping up with the score on my phone. Now, at my other job getting ready to watch this game. Great I work from home. Thank you for a great season of watching SC.
Yessss women Gamecocks. Great team. Ms Boston and Ms Henderson are great but please don't overlook Ms Brea and Ms Victoria. Great players who I believe are often overlook. They are both beasts on the court. The quiet storm. They are both my favorite players on this team. I nickname Ms. Victoria 'Dennis Rodman' not because of his antics but his playing style, does what it takes to win...
Hey robbie thank you so much for what u do!this old truck driver is so happy our ladies won the championship! Please continue to do this voodoo that u do so well!im sure thousands of gamecock fans will agree!be safe my friend peace out and...go gamecocks go ride gamecocks ride!thx again!
I’m so proud of these ladies. SC has definitely built a powerhouse. My only wish about this game would be that previous players aside from A’ja would have come to the game and be a presence. Show the legacy that we have and building.
@@Dingle051554 yeah I saw A’ja there. But the more players show up the better it looks for potential recruits watching on tv, to see the legacy. To see that Carolina is starting to put players into the W. But I do understand the Candice Parker situation. I mean during what would have been Bostons formative years Candace was the absolute best in the league, so it would be the equivalent of someone in the mens division excited to see a Lebron or Steph if they played that position. But the more players Dawn gets to the League, the more young ladies will be screaming Gamecock names in the future.
@@cobrajayrock Oh cool. Man I wish she could have gotten one. I guess I need to blame the media then that they didn’t think she was high enough profile.
Who can agree that UCONN and SC is gonna be a great rivals in the future? The past few games have been great games including the national championship.
Thank you Robbie for sharing videos this basketball season. So proud of the Lady G's...biggest win ever. I will enjoy re-watching games this summer. Once again , thank you!
I really feel bad for Paige Beckers after she tore her ACL during the off season knowing she won't be able to run for the player of the year next year bless her and her family during this time
Robbie, thank you for your time and commitment towards making this videos available for us throughout the season. We give God all the glory that it ended in praise this season. We go again next year.
Yeah we did that 🥳🎊😄 glad henny , lele , littleton , saxton and elysa get to go out on top especially henny she played out of her mind Looks like we might be on the cusp of building a dynasty which is sureal being from columbia I remember when this program was dead... CLA had one concession stand attendance was pitiful zero national tv recognition and now we got not 1 but 2 banners hanging up at CLA 🤯 Thank you dawn , lisa boyer , fred chmiel , joelette law and the entire staff Thank you lakeisha sutton , tiffany mitchell , alaina coates , mad kiki , ty harris , alisha gray , khadijah sessions , kaela davis , bianca cuevas moore , asia dozier , tiffany davis and of course aja wilson and all the girls I forgot to mention who played in those empty arenas so that these girls can play in front of 18,000 people host college gameday and win a national championship And who knows we might just do it again next year 😁🐓
Know it's difficult to accomplish but this team could make a serious run at "running it back". Nearly everyone returns of the starting five. Even accounting for any departing transfers. But Boston is scheduled to return and that's a damn good starting point.
the players they got coming in lord this team is going to be a nightmare. No wonder teams are telling Dawn no to playing them this year. Telling Dawn to call back after Zia and them leave.
I can't be prounder today as Kenyan from Africa watching this clip today April 18th and seeing gamecocks mostly imports from Africa whoop unicon.alia boston destani anderson sia Cooke Letizia amia bree Saxton all incredible young women.at same time I watched two Kenyans swoop top spots boston marathon top spots players..chebet for women chipchir for men.african genetics always winners given fair playing field.
Congratulations to UConn they over came huge objectives the whole season just not the lady gamecocks twice, Carolina earned it just a little bit more. CONGRATULATIONS LADY GAMECOCKS you all earn it and so proud and happy for the team but more so for the senior class and Brea Beal and Victaria Saxton for all their unrecognized efforts and Lele Grissett happy you came back one last time for the trophy
All of u other colleges look at this game u know how to play defense on UConn it's not hard at all just use quickness and tenancity . Geno is gonna have to get a different kinda player too much finesse not enough grit they exposed fudd twice this year by just being a spot up shooter however I congrat UConn on their season tho however South Carolina is Soo deep they won't have a dropoff at all next year heck they have a recruit coming in that just participated in the McDonald's all American slam dunk contest
I’m excited for this win for sure but let’s not get to carried away, playing against UCONN will almost certainly always be tough. I respect the game and will always give credit where credit is due, We had to have our best year and play our best to beat them. They were also down a big from injury and another in the lineup was sick and a freshman. Next year is a whole new ballgame but until then I’m gonna enjoy this championship, look forward to our new recruits and hope beyond that Fulwiley decides to stay home and play for the Gamecock’s
Yeah that recruits name is Watkins and she’s a beast but want get a lot playing time in her freshman year, because Carolina is loaded in the front court
@@RobbieRobinsonGamecockWBB thank you so much for posting these vids sir. I really admire your hard work and dedication. You definitely deserve some type of championship and or award as well lol 💪🏾
Side note: Did Lobo go to the bathroom after they won the game - she was awfully quiet??? I can't wait until the women's game get other TV sponsors, so I won't have to listen to this ESPN crew so often.
Agree. There is another lady on ESPN that is also super bias. But Robo did give Carolina its props and she Lauded Aliyah and Henny. Just wanted to add. Thanks to Aliyah, Paige, and Coach Dawn Staley for calling ESPN out. That was petty and childish. showing Aliyah crying over and over again after the semifinals last year. What they Aliyah, Paige Dawn - all said wwas on point. ESPN needs a serious competitor who will embrace female athletes and their sports. Top 10 needs some work.
@@johnxavier0140 Of course she congratulated them here and there. But for a 2nd chair - she had too many bathroom breaks. If you did not know you'd think Rucco was by himself. But, this type of behavior is nothing new. Just watch WNBA & college games consistently when her favs aren't hitting it. Regardless, the chip is SC!!
Here is your "shining moment": The ball is tipped, and there you are; You're running for your life, you're a shooting star. And all the years, no one knows; Just how hard you worked, but now it shows. In One Shining Moment, you reach deep inside; One Shining Moment, you knew you were alive. Feel the beat of your heart, feel the wind in your face; It's more than a contest, it's more than a race! And when it's done, win or lose; You always did your best, 'cause inside you knew. That One Shining Moment, you reach for the sky; One Shining Moment, you knew. One Shining Moment, you're willing to try; One Shining Moment, you knew. One Shining Moment... Play this song for me, on behalf of our victory, and thank you, to everybody in the Palmetto State! Let's do it again next April!
Yeah no doubt about it...SC did play a great game. UConn did have a few set-backs in the game with Paige still not at 100%, one of their bigs (Dorka) injured and unable to play and Azzi playing ill. Not that it would have made a big difference in the end result but worth mentioning.
I posted the complete post game in a separate video, but that may not be what you are looking for: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8qZC0dIA_fI.html
Same thing I said atleast UNC and Miami made it a little tough for us last Creighton,Uconn and the second half of the Louisville game were honestly cake walks.
Miami had a 1 fg qtr, if it wasn't for that big girl hitting all them 3's it would've been a lot worst. NC probably was their stiffest competition through.
Stanford played POORLY all season, I don't know how they made it as far as they did. It was just luck of the draw for UCONN. They had the BRIDGEPORT advantage.
Gamecocks 26 free throws, Huskies 4. Loose balls SC, rebounds SC. Replay of Bueckers against Aari Macdonald and Arizona last year. Macdonald ate Bueckers then and Destiny Henderson did yesterday. The guards for SC put up 33 shots and combined for FOUR ASSISTS! The front lime of SC needs to be commended for putting up with points first guards. Four assists between your starting guards? Hmmm….
That's the first FT I've ever seen PB miss...oh well...she was not as cocky in this game, she knows who the better team is...wasted time again for a #1 pick for UCONN...
