This 2022 Nimbus T11 has our 12,000BTU 12v marine air conditioner with (2) 250AH lithium batteries which can be monitored through a Victron BMV712 battery monitor.
The unit will run for a minimum of 10 hours with no shore power or engines running. It will run indefinitely off of shore power and can run indefinitely off of engines as well depending on operating RPM.

Excellent discussion and demo. These Victron battery monitors are wonderful if one is routinely going off the grid, perhaps using solar, using engines for only a portion of the day, etc. As for the 12,000 BTU system, simply amazing performance. Thank you for posting these.

Hi, I’ve been watching all your videos, love how neat and efficient the systems are. I’m interested to learn more about the reverse cycle settings and amp draw, any chance you could make a video about this?

Is there a unit in particular that you would like to see this for? We have one of our dealers in Boston that did some testing on our 7,000BTU DC unit installed on a vessel running in heat in real world conditions. I can show it here in FL but the function of these units in heat with an ambiant temp of 90 degrees and water at 82 degrees are not the same conditions that this unit would typically be used while using the heat function. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-juUhLee-g_I.html

Great video...are those two 250AH LiFeP04 12, 24 or 48 volts?

We are copying your install on a one year newer T-11. Same physical layout. I have two questions. With vents in the second stateroom and in the Head, should there also be either a return air path or at least a path for air to escape those two rooms and into the main room when the doors are closed? Second question is this. For the main room, both the vent and return are at the aft wall. It seems the vent would be better located as far forward as possible to encourage more air circulation within the room. Did you look at running the duct behind or below the electric panel to get it further into the cabin? Thanks in advance for the courtesy of your reply.

On new installations, we did away with the head vent as it was a complicated run and it was affecting the cooling capacity of the system as there was about a 20% loss that was caused by the addition of that vent. we did not find the need to cut a return between the aft sleeper and the fwd cabin as the air can pass though the door, even when closed. We looked at other duct configurations but settles with the vent up high that blows forward and have had the best results with that configuration. The link below is to a more recent installation. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7_zoQctTRiQ.html

@@MabruPowerSystemsINC Thank you. My installer and I had already concluded the Head vent was not worthwhile. Eliminating that and moving the aft stateroom vent to the other end of the bed sure tidied up the ductwork.
