The same happened to me in an EVL34 two weeks after buying it, cable guide rod came loose. It never happened to me with other brands (Mathews, Hoyt, Bear...). PSE should start looking at that things...their bows are not cheap by any means to allow these to happen.
LOVE Stevens reviews - I’m a big fan. Are new to archery and is looking for a compound bow for my kid (12 years) and a compound hunting bow for myself. Presently leaning towards the PSE Uprising for my kid and either the PSE EVO NXT, PSE Drive NXT or Bowtech Solution SS (all in 50-60 lbs)for my self. Could anyone please comment on the above??? Best regards!
I'm buying a new target bow I want the 40 em cam what do think your about the only one that keeps this stuff in stock 28 half on draw and shoot must of the time I can long string it to get a little play if I get the em and I think that's what I want
One of these days, I really hope PSE fixes that cable guard. It's just awful with the crappy, strippy little grub screws - I shoot a Supra Focus and an RTX and I've already stripped out one of the grub screws on the Focus. It's a horrible design where you have to chase those little screws all the time (even if Loctited). And eventually they strip and you're screwed. The lever-type they had on the old Supra Max was enormously better, in fact the best design PSE had, so hopefully they'll get rid of this crappy one ASAP. Love the rest of the bow, though.
I've watched a ton of your videos and all of them have been fantastic but I really, really enjoyed this one with your heart felt thoughts on the mess from the last 2 years. Thanks for all your videos you are an incredible resource for archery, there are no shops local to me so I'm buying bows without getting to try them out online.
My 2022 Supra RTX-37 showed up with black grease on the limbs. A black stain that won't come out on one of the limbs. Tan custom paint job also.. lol Cable guard came loose while bareshaft tuning. Took awhile to figure out were it was and to adjust it right again. Also.. lol the hole for the string stop is ovaled. Took out the string stop rod and noticed they butchered the hole for the string stop rod. Also the bow was to out of time it took +3 full twists on one cable and -1 twist on the other to get the timing set.. lol Bow shoots awesome but it wasnt a pleasent experience with my first P.S.E target bow ever. Lack of attention for sure. Lock tight should be used from the factory.. and more attention paid to details.
You should set the bows up a little better for the reviews. Nobody is going to shoot this bow with a 20 dollar sight and rest and no stabs. Some bows are going to shoot better with nothing on them but the bows that need weight from stabs are being put at a huge disadvantage. Even if you just put enough weight to level the bow out it would tell us more.
HOW are you not breaking carbon arrows? I have had one disintegrate when I shot it and I can say....it's not pleasurable. I am glad you are able to shoot like that without incident, but I cannot do that any more. Great video, as always.
I had the very same happen on my xpedite..one day I couldn’t miss another day I couldn’t buy a bullseye..the cable slide came loose..going to use some blue loctite.
That was one hell of a group until the guard came loose, it's interesting to see how some arrows are going to hit the middle but get deflated from hitting a arrow that's already in the middle and end up looking like a bad shot.
Ha ha ha, this must Have been the biggest Brain Melt I Have seen yet With the which side of the string am I looking through …and I completely sympatize 🙂🙂 I’m sure the bow Will work great for you! Funny review, keep it up!
Take a little bit of Draw weight put a few twist in the cables that will lengthen your string out to about 29 And you can also make your D loop a little longer
Can't find the new Yoke-System on the PSE-Homepage or anything about a 2022 version (in Germany). Do you think the Info will be released soon? Apotheke question: Is this really navy blue or sky blue?
Last week (when I shot) my arrows started tight center then, they started spreading out while traveling up & right. On the second end I pulled back, leveled the bubble, then pulled my head back. The bow was off right about 30° so I brought the bow approx vertical, and the bubble was full left. Let down touched my sight and it "wobbled". The quick sight disconnect screw came lose Lol 🏹🤠👍.
Looks like PSE are going away from the floating yoke system in favour of the split string set up. Also 2 berger holes now on a lot of there new risers which I really like.
I like the two holes but most of the other changes are cost saving measures and not quality enhancements: removing the wedge lock in the new Supras, the finishing of the paint being inferior than the previous anodized finish, going from 5 to 3 strings, the new cable guard in aluminium instead of carbon fiber (and they already lag behind other brands using rollers)... Still the Evolve Cam is amazingly smooth and overall I like my Supra Focus XL LD despite going back I would chose a Evo NXT 35" or a Rezult instead.
@@rogerkay8603 it wasn't for gaining an advantage or anything like that it was more out of curiosity, he was speaking of different sized cams and I just wondered if one wanted build a bow from scratch e.g. one has a an old riser, buy a set of limbs, cams etc and put them on that riser, in fact as i'm writing this the more I think about it I can't see any reason why one couldn't
The Same Kyle Dougas which won Vegas 2021 with the Citation 36 won the Vegas 2020 with a Supra Focus 37. The riser changes balance, torque and torsion in a bow but still have little impact in performance if the quality is in the archer.
I bet when you worked in IT you did what I do: An error happens and you spend hours going through your code when the problem was in the input or environment outside of your program scope. You did that with your shooting :D you know your shooting is good but you doubted that before the errors in the bow :p
Your first shots where great. Was very impressive without stabilizers and peep. Would say this is the bow you should set up as your main one! :) Now stop with compound stuff and more recurve reveiws please!!! ;)
Talking about getting fatigued, I'm 72 years old and I have to shoot constantly to stay in shape for hunting hogs. I only shoot 58#'s but still the older you get the faster your muscles get weaker. Enjoy your honest reviews and b.s. How about doing some stuff on form, DL and how super important it is to better shooting. Maybe some target and hunting sights info. There are so many that have no clue about any of these things. 👍👍👍👍
@@HUKIT. Yep, Bowtech BT Max reaches 34", as the Mathews Atlas and some other examples form a few companies. But going over 32" DL pretty unusual and most of companies retain those models for years in their catalogue due is a niche space with very few potential customers. PSE has being offering long draw cams as option for their flagship hunting and target bows for years with each annual iteration, which is very unusual for most of brands.
