I know of JWs who would drive around the prettier areas in their town and point out what houses they would have once Armageddon happened and he owners were slaughtered. This is jealousy in a nutshell, it’s also deeply disturbing.

I mean, almost everyone has looked at a pretty house- usually in a very nice spot- and wished they could live there. But the extra step of thinking it will happen when most of the world’s population gets slaughtered is simply insane!

It is a case of not very intelligent people who love the power trip of being an elder and telling others what to do. They think they are better than the other members and have the right to interfere in their lives. Its not COUNSEL its intimidation and telling off naughty children by some nosey busy body.

If you make a mistake and have sex with someone there is an unsaid rule to only dissfellowship one of them and reprove the other so in that way they can't keep seeing each other if both get df'd. It's a game I called out infront of the elders before. So it's a matter of who the elders like the most.

I agree. Even in the world I deal with gossiping. I'm just glad I dont have the added weight of the congregation gossiping too. I think I would break in the face of what was supposed to be a safe haven from that garbage claiming to be no part of the world when in fact they're no different.

@@mrm8850 No Church. When I realized I was being taught things that had me rejecting Christ I left and I was angry at men. I wanted nothing to do with men teaching me. I did the only thing no one in this world has done or even thinks to do. I stubbornly made Christ my only teacher and asked him to help me understand and answer my bible questions. If I didn't recieve understanding on a certain topic then I didn't have that understanding and I waited. I didn't turn to men or try to figure it out on my own. This is the new covenant way which Christ is a mediator between us and God in this new covenant. If you endure under Christ, and are faithful to his commands, following him (not men) very closely, feeding off of his words, he will ask the Father for you to have the other advocate. Yes Jesus will have taught you a lot but when that other advocate comes, that no one knows about, as Jesus said, it will guide you into all truth and reveal to you all that is to come. You will then have this spirit forever. John 14:15,16 15“If you love me, keep my commands. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. Also John 16:3 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come." Everyone has to go through Christ with a goal to reach the Father to recieve this Spirit of Truth. You don't need men or religion to explain anything to you especially when they don't make Christ their only literal teacher or even know about this other advocate, the spirit of truth. If they did not recieve this other advocate then they should not be teaching at all. In Revelation 3, under Laodicea, Jesus is counseling us all to turn to him for knowledge. He says you may think you know everything and are rich in knowledge but you don't realize you know nothing. He says he's knocking at the door for you to let him in and sit down and teach you. Laodicea is not about works. It's about how we go about gaining knowledge and understanding. That whole "Luke warm" statement everyone gets wrong is Jesus basically saying: " when you make effort to gain knowledge I wish you would do it right or don't do it at all because this in between stuff is causing a big mess and I will reject you and have tondicipline you by sending you through the great tribulation to be refined." Rev 3 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 21To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. The entire structure of prayer Jesus is saying to ask the Father and Jesus is ready to do it. Ask the Father and Jesus is ready to answer your prayers. Jesus is the one who answers our prayers. Our prayers go to the Father directly but the Father shares our prayers with Jesus and Jesus answers them as our middle man mediator. So if you pray for understanding just know you can thank the Father but Jesus is the one teaching it to you by use of the holy spirit.( John 16. ) Sorry this was so long but it's important. Make Jesus your only teacher not men and in 24 months you will recieve this Spirit of truth because the next group to recieve it will be the 144,000(no one goes to heaven) The way(Jesus) to the new covenant(under the Father Jer 31:31) works and it's no joke. "He will write understanding on your hearts and no man will teach another man to know God."

@@ManoloVintage i understand but the bible did say this would happen Matthew 7:15-20 2 Timothy 3:1-17 appearance of godliness, but denying its power plenty of that more then ever got plenty here with that kind of attitude!!
