IndyCar can I offer some constructive criticism? It would be great if you could show the complete qualifying results after each qualy video and then show the complete race results and championship standings after each race video. Signed a diehard IndyCar fan.
@@AlistairMaxwell77 I don’t even have peacock in my region. I’d pay 15 or whatever dollar is available for that. I have to pay 80usd to watch the nascar races.
About 3 mph difference from 1st - 20th. My prediction there will be 8 cars on the lead lap by race end. Jimmy Johnson if he doesn’t wreck will end up with his highest finish so far.
A lot of respect for Jimmy Johnson to have the balls at the age he is to try get to grips with this machinery and the fitness levels needed, he is always gonna be faster on the the ovals naturally. Texas is a terrifying oval but one of the best
When CART raced at Texas in 2001 the drivers greyed-out and got dizzy in practice from the G-forces in the steep banks. That happened at higher speed, however, around 236. That race was canceled.
historically that's how its been done in us motorsports. there has always been an element of pushing speed records and boundaries at super speedways so top speed and average speed have been important and emphasized. one reason its still used on ovals because the lap times are so similar , mph shows a greater differential . iowa for example is 17 seconds a lap and whole field will qualify in the 17 seconds , separated in milliseconds . sometimes they still reference mph on street courses and it was common to see both in the 90s and 2000s. official timing records for qualification and races show both mph and seconds if you want to know.
The difference between quali times on ovals is measured in hundredths/thousandths, not tenths, so it's easier to perceive the difference looking at average speeds rather than pure laptime.
Depends exactly how they have their gearing set up. They're always looking for maximum power being put down through the wheels, and for some setups that means you'll need to drop a gear, and for others you won't. During the race it can also depend on the tire wear and traffic at that moment. Shorter gear setups will be able to stay in the optimal rev range more easily, but if you make it too short then in the draft you might hit the rev limiter even in top gear.
WHAT WAIT IS THIS 2022? ALREADY!? I SWEAR SOMETHING IS GOING ON WITH TIME ITSELF MAYBE CHRIST IS GOING TO RETURN SOON? I CANT KEEP UP WITH HOW FAST DAYS ARE GOING BYE, AM I THE ONLY 1? PS. GO INDY CAR GOD I LOVE IC! & F ..F1
How can you build the brand when you trying to fleece the IndyCar lover with peacock. Everything is for money and nobody shouldn't have to buy a package to see IndyCar
I sure hope this does not turn in to a single line race !!! 220 mph iis amazeballs and u only fill b half the stands how SAD !!! This is what happend here in Milwaukee and we LOST a great race !!! WAKE UP !!! U will be left with the Nascar SOAP BOX DERBY 500. 🖕🖕🖕
This track proved to be too dangerous to race Champcars on in 2001, since the human body couldn't take the high g-loads that were measured during the practice sessions.
