Nah, be a sensible driver is best. Autobahn accidents due to their unlimited speeds are pretty awful.

Why are you all hung up on speed. I drove one today, joining the mway from 30mph in 2 secs it was 55mph. With no gearing, it's like a kid with a toy car going wooosh. It's lovely to drive. I'm ordering Scenic tmmrw, tho it will take 3 months to build it! Cmon missuers pull your legs finger out. I wish it had a choice of pseudo engine noises like doing ringtones, or make a noise up. Next generation. The Zoe &.Co have done the donkey work & now real cars have arrived in 10yrs, quite amazing.

It's more of a city car and not a Autobahn cruiser.

In fact, they Are already dead. Everyone with a Company car goes for a hybrid (tax advantage) and that means no future for mass market diesel cars.

He's just testing it on EU roads. The car is very stable. 15mins in a big car whooshes past like we were standing still. Blink & you will miss it.

I agree with the ones who criticise maksimum speed of just 160 kmh. It sould be at least 250 kmh for +200 bhp e-cars. The actual rearview in this car is awful, so they provide a lcd rearview mirror connected to a rear camera. But... If it fails during you're having a long trip, you will mess up.

It is not a sport car, it will make many families happy ;) Just because MeganeE is not about the capabilites of the electrical motor and drive train, is just limited to 160 for the sake of the battery. What about new Volvo cars having their top speed limited at 180, for safety? 😏

Das passiert ja auch nur in Deutschland. Woanders fährt man ja nicht so schnell.. Ist für 99,9% der Weltbevölkerung also nicht relevant. Zumal ich das auch von meinem Verbrenner kenne. Am Anfang wird die Reichweite auf die neue Fahrweise mit Bleifuß angepasst, dann zählt es schneller runter. Das geht aber nicht bis auf 0km so weiter…

Die Batterien werden immer besser und einen Verbrauch hat man auch beim Verbrenner. Es kommt halt darauf an was man so im Alltag braucht. 350 bis 400 km Reichweite reichen für die meisten Autofahrer im Alltag eigentlich aus. Grundsätzlich würde ich aber immer den größeren Akku kaufen weil der ja älter wird und dann weniger Reichweite hat. Mit größerer Batterie kann man das Auto dann vermutlich auch besser als Gebrauchtwagen verkaufen, auch wenn die Batterie nicht mehr ganz so gut ist.

Eben, so ein Auto sollte man maximal 120km/h fahren um überhaupt eine anständige Reichweite zu erzielen. Das nächste Problem, nach ca. 8 Jahren lässt die Batteriekapazität sowieso nach, der Verkauf dadurch fasst unmöglich und ein neuer Akku lohnt nicht da viel zu teuer. Beim Verbrenner hat man dieses Problem nicht. Diese Technik ist noch viel zu schlecht um gut zu sein. Eventuell wird es in ca. 10-15 Jahren ausgereifter.

@@guzzirider701 Die meisten Zoes aus den ersten Tagen (also fast 10 Jahre alt) haben noch eine Restkapazität des Akkus von über 90%. Deine Annahme bestätigt sich also nicht. Du wirst nach 8 Jahren noch wunderbar mit deinem Akku umherfahren können. Und 120km/h sind in 99,9% der Welt sowieso die Höchstgeschwindigkeit (oder knapp drüber). Das Problem stellt sich also nicht.

@@Furamax Ich lebe nicht in 99,9% der Welt, sondern in Deutschland, und ich möchte auch mal auf der Autobahn schnell fahren, so wie viele andere. Elektroauto interessiert mich nicht, zumindest noch lange nicht. Zu teuer und zu kleine Reichweite. Mich interessiert weniger was andere wollen, sondern was ich will.

Moi aussi... J'avais une Mégane diesel. J'attendais avec impatience la nouvelle Mégane électrique. Quand j'ai vu que la Mégane électrique serait un SUV, j'ai acheté une Tesla Model 3...

@@fre780a ce n'est pas un SUV, en plus cette Mégane est plus petite qu'une 307 (sauf en largeur) alors que c'est le segment berline compact. c'est juste le dessin qui donne cette impression de grandeur alors que ce n'est pas vraiment pas le cas

I find it a bit hypocritical to use the "range at high speed" card. The Polo you're comparing the Megane with also uses an extreme amount of fuel at full speed compared to cruising speed.

@@TinglingTaco but you can fill the polo tank in 2 minutes and even at top speed (no it won't do always 200 except going downhill) manages to drive for a long long time unlike these electric toasters

Most of advanced countries have a lot of speed radars and strong fines. In Spain if you are spotted by a radar at 165 km/h in highway (120 speed limit) you will fined with 300 € and 2 points (of 12-15) will be detrayed from your driving license. If you have 0 points, game over. So it's absurd outside Germany, a high top speed. And in a electric car, is useless. Look at the comsumption. You only can do about 100 km at that speed.

More it's useless . Time have changed. Économie is now a very good value
