TUTORIAL UPDATE!!! Roblox has removed BodyVelocity and BodyAngularVelocity show in 13:16 and replaced them with LinealVelocity and AngularVelocity. In orden to use LinealVelocity instead of BodyVelocity, do the following: 1. Left Click on the Rocket > Insert Object... > Attachment 2. Now insert the LinealVelocity 3. While having LinealVelocity selected, click on Attachment0 and select the attachment 4. Set MaxForce to 400000 5. Set VectorVelocity as I set the Velocity value in 13:29 To use AngularVelocity instead of BodyAngularVelocity: 1. Follow the same steps (1, 2 and 3) with an AngularVelocity instead. 2. Set RelativeTo property to Attachment0 3. Set MaxTorque to 400000 4. Set AngularVelocity to (0, 0, 10). Change 10 to a higher value for more rotation speed. If you have any question, you can read F.A.Q. section in the description.
Forgot to mention. Before welding the hand and bazooka, make sure: - Both parts have Anchored property disabled. - Both don't have ANY other welds - Again, you have selected the hand FIRST
This was the only quality video i could find about animating on Roblox (without using Moon Animator) this video is the only reason I've been able to get into animation and that is why I want to say I appreciate you so so so so so so much!
The man is back, and alive! You were always my childhood youtuber and inspired me to make animations. I am now 4 months into animation and can make decent animation, and I cant thank you enough for all the motivation you have given me.
THE WELDING PLUGIN IS NOT DELETED!!! A lot of people have been telling me this. As I said in the Q&A in the description, Roblox only censored the title (for unknown reasons), but the plugin still can be installed and works perfectly fine.
I absolutely love this style of tutorials, very thorough and gets the point across, not to mention calming music, don't need dubstep in a tutorial video lol. Def subbing, this was incredibly helpful, thank you much
Yo sny you’ve always been a big inspiration to me, your animations are always so fluent and full of life. I remember trying to copy your old hammer throwing tutorial when I was younger and failing miserably lol. Keep on doing what your doing man.
As an Animator myself I would say that this is a very good way to animate. Overall the directions in this video is great. The scripts work as intended and overall smoothness is very satisfying. Great work!
It is one way to animate but it's a terrible way to make cinematic scenes, I would heavily recommend moon animator since it was designed for making animations and cinematic scenes (Moon doesn't have IK for R15 yet so it's better making your poses in ROBLOX animation editor/blender and import it there), it also saves alot of time by allowing you to make all the effects go in one shot instead of recording it one by one and editing them all in.
@@polar7404 Moon Animator is good and all I use it personally but using the regular animator is better for r15 rigs and not r6. Moon animator is focusing on r6 rigs. Most r6 animators use it but for me i use both.
@@polar7404 oh ok I use moon animator so I’m used to being able to do that however I just started yesterday so I’m still learning what animator I should use and whatnot
I’d like to applaud sny that he actually has to time setting the elements to be on screen instead of using a script to do it, I can’t image how much time it’ll take to make a larger scale video than that.
for those who think its outdated. it sill works in 2024, u just gotta follow EACH steps and listen to what he is saying in the text CAREFULLY, for ex, alot of pple have problem with the how to make a camera, i had a problem bc in 18:58 he said we gotta follow the order "humanoid and then camera part" but i did the complete opposite, which is why it the camera didnt work. thank me later
@@IsacraftYT91 if you're still looking for one, here's an updated version local KeyframeSequenceProvider = game:GetService("KeyframeSequenceProvider") local function setAnim(model,animName) local hashId = KeyframeSequenceProvider:RegisterKeyframeSequence(game:GetService("ServerStorage").RBX_ANIMSAVES:WaitForChild(model.Name)[animName]) local Animation = Instance.new("Animation") Animation.AnimationId = hashId if model:FindFirstChild("Humanoid") then return model.Humanoid:LoadAnimation(Animation) else return model.AnimationController:LoadAnimation(Animation) end end wait(5) local animController = setAnim(script.Parent,"YOURANIMNAME") animController:Play() animController:AdjustSpeed(1) -- Adjust animation speed here. 1 = Normal Speed, 0.25 = 4 times slower
I remember how I thought Sny Fort quit or left RU-vid because he didnt upload for over two years (I was watching the 25 ways to die) but its nice to see him back.
Snyfort, I suggest you should moon animator, good plugin for animating! And pretty easy to use and don't need to make like the launcher to appear, using part as a camera Hiding the plugin is CTRL + H. you can add particles and much more.
I never used Moon Animator... I use the default plugin since it has the Inverse Kinematics option, which is useful when you're animating with R15. But anyways, I may make another tutorial with Moon Animator in a future
@@snyfort7457 That's understanding. also I forgot to say that you made me try animating on roblox in the old times. Now I am a decent animator thanks to you.
The power of Sny Fort's imagination. I was watching recording section then when it starts, I said now! End with stop! xD. Thank you Sny Fort for the toturial :3
I know this is an older video, but I was overwhelmed with wanting to animate and not sure how to go about it. I have roblox studio on my pc but never touched it. Thanks to your video, I feel like I could pick it up and play around and create something cool in a few hours! 😊
Moon animator is a great replacement for all the plugins you used! it has Character inserter, Welding and Animating (Including the option to animate the camera and hide the plugin using CTRL + H), but this was a great tutorial anyways.
I’m confused about 5:09 Do you just randomly scatter all the animation in random spots throughout the timeline or do you have to do it in a specific order
just scatter it, the goal is to not make it look "robotic" so you can make it look a bit natural by moving them with that, it will not move at the same time. just a small adjustment but still helps
Hey sny I'm wondering. So you see in your old animations the camera keeps slowly shaking a little when it locks into something (like your "why forums got removed animation"). How do you do thet effect?
I was wondering, when I play animations in studio it works perfectly fine and nothing comes undone, but when I checked it in an actual game instance (not within studio) all the animations just broke and didn't move at all. Is there supposed to be something I should've known before adding the script in?
I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was 1:12. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at 6:34 that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Too the people who do this late! It will not show the weld option, but dont worry I spend about 30 minutes and I figured it out, all you need to do, is only select the hand, then to to "Model" then press create, and press weld, then you want to click on the item!
2022: An actual useful tutorial on how to make efficient Roblox animations (even at 60fps) 2023: Basically the channel becoming the own home of many overcomplainful people to talk about one incident. ONE.
I did them all step by step. But what bothers me is the camera part. When i tried animating it, it says "the model is anchored making it non animatable" how do i fix this..
Amazing intro! Snyfort, I suggest you should moon animator, good plugin for animating! And pretty easy to use and don't need to make like the launcher to appear, using part as a camera Hiding the plugin is CTRL + H. you can add particles and much more.
tip: all of this velocity and coding stuff is completely unnessecary. just use moon animator. Not only can you animate multiple rigs at a time, but you can also animate pretty much everything (including camera, lighting, and even non-rigged parts!)
ah yes, finally. i was looking for this. but Roblox on my computer is slower than Mcdonald's wifi even though my wifi is fine. :/ edit: it's working fine now, but I only have the load characters lite and I cant find everything else
Thanks a lot for this tutorial, this will help a lot with my Roblox game cause I was absolutely trash at animating and LAC (Live Animation Creator) isn't really good.
Fun fact:you can make the bazooka invisible by make the bazooka first anim down Ur body and make it as constraint type, when you want it appear then drag it back and choose it as constraint and now Ur can animate it normally
