I think anything that 22 and newer is not made of the same quality. Trucks, tools, 4 wheelers and all. I’m really glad I got a 21 at the last minute. You pointed out air box difference and I can’t stand the racks. I wanna know what else they went cheap on that we can’t see
I used a 2 inch fernco cap with clamp on air bladder with black rvt sealer works great ran gator loop at hollowpaw this past Saturday no water at all in air box she sealed good
Use pool / jacuzzi plumbing. And irrigation hose and bibs. All screws together watertight and anything you can possibly think of . Btw. Cant u just run your vent lines to the airbox itself? Its clean you can take it apart and its same as having them all at top of snorkel.
Don't really understand the idea of making more holes in your airbox but if it's what you prefer. I do like that you use PVC and you tried to get it up as high as possible, I had to trim my center plastic to clear the pipe.
4ft of hose coiled above the box (Ajax mod) and zip tied nicely away from the exhaust and secured from rubbing. Saved my rubicon on a couple of sinks where water never made it through the coil. More than one way to skin a cat, but drilling another hole has never crossed my mind just to feed said hose into the potential water filled area, just my .02
I need help mud puppy. I replaced the clutches in a Honda rancher 420 and the top end. Just finished putting the snorkel and all of it back together and when we crunk her up she ran buttery smooth but when we pressed the gas a little the foot shift slammed up and slammed down and now when we put her into her gear she won’t move but we hear it going into gear. It just want move. Any thoughts
These new 520 motors do not like sand I put a 60 reduction boss in and 30 terrachie on and motor has a bad rattle even did it with stock tires on in sand when new asked few other 520 owners they said same not sure why fuel injection does it my old carb hondas didn't do it any advice be nice all my stuff done hundred percent right makes it not fun riding on sandy trails
@@MudPuppyOffroad I used 1 1/2 pvc to snorkel mine on purpose, it fixed the lean condition and was easier to run to boot. I dont ride in much sand but my 520 rattled a bit riding in deep snow stock. You should try a smaller 1 1/2 snorkel, I swear my 520 runs better than stock now. My brother also has a 520 rubicon, he has a 2 inch snorkel, mine with the smaller snorkel runs better, these atv's are too lean.
