Hey Annette, greetings from Finland! :) I noticed that there was quite a lot of palettes that you didn't want to declutter yet but wanted to give them another chance. Would you concider making a video or a series where you pull out some of these palettes, and maybe try creating new looks with them? I think that seeing you play around and get creative with some of them would be refreshing and interesting to watch. I love your style, and your looks are always so inspiring!

This is the first year I've seen anyone declutter Juvia's. Did you guys have a secret meeting or something?! 😂 I actually decluttered a couple of mine, as well, so I think I get it. Those palettes harken back to a simpler more innocent time.

Idk, theyre just old, and I feel like not as special anymore. New brands have popped up who are WAY more innovative with their formulas and color stories, that juvias isnt that interesting anymore

The monochromatic six pans were the first thing i tried from them, and I'm super disappointed. Sorry but i don't get the hype. Those shadows are dry and not creamy at all

@@danceillusions13 THIS. Like I started off with Juvias place they were the first eyeshadow palette I ever bought the OG Nubian at Ulta. At the time 2018 I didn't know anything about indie brands, I was new to the Beauty community and I didn't find many brands catering to us POC at the time. I LOVE THEIR OG palettes the shimmers are still great like The Magic, The Tribe etc with very unique color stories. I'm convinced once they started doing 6 pan palettes their formula changed or something.

@@danceillusions13 Those were pretty terrible. The purple was the worst palette I ever purchased. The first palette I bought from them was the Nubian 2 and it was good for the time but I was also pretty inexperienced with eyeshadow. Their formula isn't the same anymore and not worth with.

I feel like Mel's passing has been such a shock. She was so young and vibrant. She seemed like such a beautiful soul in the beauty community and I feel she has left such a positive lasting impression. I am so very sad for her family and friends. The ache will never go away for them and her kids, her poor babies lost her way too soon. So sad.

✨🤩 Yay! Was looking forward to Part II! I love your collection, especially because it is filled with Indie brands. As a South African, I would really love a channel that announces whether an Indie brand ships internationally or not. I get all excited when I see a stunning palette review but then discover that they don’t ship to my country or that the shipping cost is higher than the palette price 😅. Love your videos Annette! Good point, but its really hard to keep track of who sends where. A lot of brands will send to certain countries and not others depends on if theyre in the EU and what not, its easier for people to just go on the website and check themselves than it is for me to go through the list of all the countries they do and dont send to. if it was just international and domestic it would be one thing, but so many brands make no sense where they do and dont ship to 😂

This might be controversial, but I need to get it off my chest: Oden's Eye is the new Glamlite (which was the new ABH before the Alyssa Edward's and Rivera debacle). Everyone I watch LOVES Oden's Eye and keeps all of their products, to the point I've bought into the hype but haven't had the same results/ it doesn't live up to the impossibly high expectations I built in my mind. I wonder what the next big brand will be

Yeah, I have the Freja Diva and Mini Forest and I’m just like… it’s fine? I don’t have any major complaints but I don’t understand why everyone is losing their minds? Maybe I don’t have their best palettes? But I’m not particularly inclined to keep buying them to find out why everyone loves them so much.

@@alexisbrewer6767 don't think anyone was unambiguously pushing Melt tbh. A lot of creators openly admitted they were hit and miss and had unreliable shimmers, but the dark mattes and aesthetic were always on point

Pat McGrath has a bunch of different formulas... that shimmer formula is what I would consider "It's a shimmer 🤷‍♀️" ... it isn't a wow, but it's a shimmer... For people who have issues with shadow sticking to their lid (and don't want to use a sticky-base) they're great. I love that about Pat McGrath... it's the only thing I can put on my eye without a sticky-base and have it still be there at the end of the day. I would tell anyone with a large indie collection that Pat is probably not going to amaze .. just because the indie brands have some amazing products. But the average makeup consumer would love her palettes... if they get the one that suits their makeup habit... don't get all shims, if you like mattes. Don't get regular shims, if you like special shades... My advice from the Mountain: get the makeup that brings you joy ⛰🏔🌄

I've seen the BH bubblegum and the orange sorbet at my local Marshalls for only $8. I own the bubblegum, but wish it had only been $8. Oh well. You can never predict which makeup will end up at TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

The Serendipity palette from Unearthly Cosmetics near the beginning of the video has that beautiful shimmer shade in the middle and, at a glance, it looks like it could be a dupe for (or be duped by) ColourPop’s shade Mr. Sandman, which can be obtained as a single, last I checked, and can also be found in the It’s My Pleasure palette (the first purple 9 pan monochromatic palette they made). Mr. Sandman is one of ColourPop’s nicest duochromes, in my humble opinion, shifting from a beigey purple to a bit of a teal shade. Just in case anyone was interested. I know I always want to know where to find the best special shades. That’s a lot of why I like to watch Annette. She likes the interesting colors and has off the beaten path brands I can discover. Thanks for sharing your beautiful collection, Annette!

I think adept is over hyped. The break the rules is similar to the shimmers in the lore palette from alien/unearthly cosmetics. Very very good! Or some of the shimmers in the midas palettes

I dont own any of the palettes from Adept, so i cant compare, but from what Ive seen when other people have used them, they look very similar to Its Bel, and their palettes are WAY cheaper

I only filmed highlighters as well. Im Skipping base products and random stuff cause i use mostly the same things for my base and wont b decluttering eyeliners or mascaras etc and stuff. I tend to get rid of those as they go bad instead of saving them for declutters. I did do a lip declutter i think two monts ago or so as well!

I'm so sad that I didn't get a chance to purchase the giant wolves before it sold out but that just means I'll be sure to get whatever collaborations you have this year right away lol. I love oden's eye and it looked so beautiful but they don't accept my card that I have my make-up allowance on. I wonder if Kailav changed their packaging to make it more recyclable. Looks like the mirror is added to the packaging and could be peeled off. A magnet cannot be recycled so imbedding it in the cover would make the pallets not able to be recycled without completely cutting it apart.

Id say 3-4 of the shimmers are on the sheer side and the rest are more opaque. Whats ur issue with it? And how do you use it? Do you apply them dry, with a finger, concealer base, glitter primer? It will all make a huge difference on how they apply and wear

That Pat palette is the Decadence palette and SAME bro SAME. It was the first one I got too and it BAFFLED me ,it's so subpar! I've got others now and I GET THE HYPE but this...urgh waste of money.

I filmed a blush and highlighter declutter but i wont b doing the rest of my collection. I use the same base products almost every time i do my makeup so its not super interesting, and i posted a lipstick declutter like two months ago 🙂

I’ve found in Sub Boxes we just don’t get great palettes period I get 1 box and tbch I get it for the high end skin care I can’t afford high end prices on the monthly so I get in my box , if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t get a sub box either .

I lost interest in juvias place once they started doing all those monochromatic palettes. Some of them look the same. ColourPop has been doing those for years and it’s so overdone now that it bores me no matter what brand does it. I also don’t like 6 pans or quads. I forget about them and it’s not enough variety for me. I mean if someone gifted me some of course I would cherish and use them, but I’m not drawn to buy them unless they are special type shifty shades. I miss Mel also, she pops into my mind sometimes. 💜

I don’t believe it’s rude for one to ask for another’s decluttered makeup I just think that during these times it’s not the best idea lol nor is it sanitary in general, even without the pandemic unless it is going to family! But yeah, it’s not exactly rude though at all, I just think it’s irrelevant and coming from someone who also gives away so much makeup, my family and friends have so much they won’t even take anymore lol but if someone asked me I’d say (sure take it) but that’s my opinion that totally differs from yours which is okay really, everyone is entitled to one, to each there own & I’m not trying to be mean but there are people out there that isn’t as fortunate as us to have thousands of dollars worth of makeup so I’m sure the asking wasn’t the first time and it definitely won’t be the last.I’d just try to say it a little differently maybe, ( Do not ask me for my makeup, it’s rude) kind of seemed a lil rude to me, me and my sis watching this together and when we read that we looked at each other straight away with the odd raised eyebrow/confused type look an thought alrightie then lol Soooo, on another note, great video and the struggle is real I get it, it truly is hard to declutter especially when you can remember every moment of purchase, the excitement or nostalgia, memories etc. gotta love it though

Don’t keep what doesn’t make you happy I understand if it was extremely expensive like PM but honestly I think she’s over rated now that it’s much easier to find those “ special “ shades , if it doesn’t make you happy to use then make room for the Brands that do if we’ve learned anything the past 3 yrs it’s get your happiness when and wherever you can .

Wow! What did Juvias do to you? They were my first brand to give me color! Color that showed up! Never getting rid of my first love to consider me! You got everybody dogging Juvia's! Wow! Completely shocked at the negative comments. Now just take down all those Juvia's video's. I was watching them for tutorial purposes. Im in this journey! Even my flair denim came back in style!

48:09 so disappointed you didn’t mention odens eye shadows and highlighters ALWAYS hit hard pan. More than any other eyeshadow brand. Iv seen 3-4 honest influencers mention this con. There’s just too much oil in them. If odens eye fixed that and made them less emollient they’d be perfection 👌🏼 😍

Listen.. you are not alone. I wanna love game beauty.. so much. I love their packaging and ideas. But a. Their color stories don't call to me much.. and b. When swatched they don't look like anything special. That harbinger palette looks so boring.. like a bunch of whites. And the pastel looking one is so light.. to light.. I hope they maybe switch things up on the inside of their palettes.
