2022 Sur ron Light Bee S 48v VS 60v

We took our Sur rons out to the sports field to show some performance differences between the stock 48v setup versus an upgraded 60v bike.
The upgraded bike currently has a Kenda Trakmaster rear tire and a 60v battery and controller out of the Sur ron Light Bee X.

Do the mountain bike parts compatible with them? Like front shock and rear shock?

I think some shocks work like fox 40's and bomber 58's etc... not too sure about rear shocks :)

Hi I have a question I have a Soron with a 48v controller and a 48v motor and my battery is also 48v and I wanted to change the battery to the stock 60v and I wanted to know if it would work with the 48v controller? Thanks

I think we heard that someone did that and it was ok… but no personal experience doing that. I couldn’t give any advice sorry and obviously wouldn’t want anything to happen to your bike. Ours were swapped at a surron store.. did you try calling your local store?

Would riders 5'6 and below fit well on the bike or do you think it would feel too small?

Would fit no problem. Ours had 60v power upgrades from the surron x

I have the Light Bee X and way eyeing the S version for my kid. Is the seat height lower on the S than on an X? How tall are your boys in the video for reference if you don't mind me asking?

Yes the seat height is lower… at the time of the video I think ages 9 and 12.

@@Just3adventures Thank you! Sent an e-mail to the local dealer to see if some are available :) We were currently using one of those Chinese Nitro Motor ebikes. In terms of power they were adequate and he could easily keep up with me but the range was barely 5-7km.

with our without the wire cut? I think with the wire not cut they were the same at 25

I have an ebike and when the battery is at 50% it becomes slow and can no longer accelerate the same as when it is fully charged. This also happens in this type of “super ebikes” like the Surron and others? Is there any battery or component that prevents that and always keeps the voltage stable? thank you

I would think if the chassis is the same and you plan to modify, the S would be cheaper to start with.

An electric sur ron is very easy to learn on if you have never ridden something like a dirt bike. Biggest thing is how tall you are and how much you weight determines which bike to get.

For sure! We upgraded our light bee s bikes and put the 60v battery and controller in them out of a stock x. The dealership had parts from others that upgraded there light bee x models and it made a drastic difference.

power system from the X model. Its super quick.. can blow the doors off dad in a race on his X. Check out the video " Is the sur ron light bee X slower"

Im 183cm and 74kg. Im thinking bout buying the surron s for me to get into surrons and get a feeling for them and to pass it to my grifriend afterwards as soon as i can afford the stock 72v surron like bike(idk the name rn) you think im able to have fun with the stock surron s till im upgrading to the 72v bike?

For sure! You can make the stock surron act lively with a rear sprocket change and some riser bars if your a bigger rider

rider weight makes a big difference as you can see in one of our test videos. I guess it really depends on what your wanting out of the surron

between an X or an S ? the x will have different front shocks and the S has 17" wheels for an easy first glance difference

We never did as the dealer we bought them from did the swap for us since day one. But we did hear from someone that you could just plug in a 60v battery? The S model does have a different motor etc... should be able to find controllers and batterys from people who have swapped cheap now

You gotta do a motor too those are both 48v motors gotta do a true test that way
