@@craternose348 sand baggers all around. you wont see anyone in the finals with less than 40 sticks shooting under 250. but honestly the entry fee is good and side action is good. theres a reason why many bowlers who can definitely compete with pros would rather travel around the country bowling amateur tournaments instead of going pro. easy side action, more money.

@@tackywacky99 that’s very true but honestly I just feel like if you want to compete in this sport or any for that matter you should want to get to the highest level you possibly can ya know like so many people are just unknown because all they do is sandbag and to me it’s just a waste of talent

@@craternose348 personally im a 235 on house and 215 on sport. i do travel around and bowl tournaments everywhere. If youre in between the 195 - 210 avg for a house shot. youre pretty screwed because you wont beat any handicap bowler who can keep the ball on the lane especially when patterns come up and they between 140-170avg. you also are not even close to being good enough to beat anyone from a 220-245 average. the skill gap between 200avg to 220 is bigger than 130 to 190. My opinion is that these new bowling balls give the average league bowler a false sense of skill because they help them do so much. But you dont ever really get good without knowing how to control every angle/speed/rev rate with a minimal hooking ball. It sucks that the separation in skill between amateur and pros are so huge that unless you find someone who still has knowledge in the old school ways of bowling to bridge the gap between an amateur and pro level, there will always be such a huge disconnect and no money in the pros just because of how little true knowledge is given out freely to amateurs to even have a chance to practice the right things to become a pro.

This video showed me how spoiled we all are on our house shots that appear to MAKE us good. Than you get on a real pattern like this, and realize how foolish and awful you really are. 90% of these people look like they probably don't even average 200 in their league. What the heck are they doing bowling in an actual tournament??
