You don’t get enough credit. All these other RU-vidrs in your area doing the same tournament, usually placing top 20 if they are lucky, and then there’s this guy who finishes top 10 constantly. Keep it up!
I think Damian is in his own league, and he doesn't even compete in every tournament. Because of work or his schedule. But the ones he does, he dominates, mostly all of them. I only follow him and GB. Greg is a true mentor, dedicated, and another face for this sport. They fished together last year on a day trip. Greg put up Damian's Bass caught, avg lengths, and all the cash and prizes from tournaments, he's won. He's always ahead of anyone in C.A. And probably many other states. He's just an amazing angler from a kayak.
Others definitely put more into the production of their vids, but the fishing on this channel is on another level. Dude always figures them out. Best kayak stick in the west for sure
Which makes you realize how stupid those walleye cheaters were. If you've been competing that long, you can eyeball fish very accurately, to be 1.5-2 lbs off would be ridiculous.
Damian you are a true warrior out on that boat, the setup she has, and all your equipment. That lake has been tough this year. And your style of fishing is awesome. Always learning something from you, and Greg. And you're fishing against many other great anglers, and also many friends. Good luck on day two. 🙏 😎 🎣
it was wierd, when i dropped straight down on them they actually just got spooked or they would be moving too fast and dissapear. Once i seen that a few times, i didnt bother wasting my time. I found that i got way more bites casting out and reeling to the boat. When i was reeling it in, i could feel them tag it a few times before they commited. With the overcast, fish were just scattered and moving pretty quickly so it was pretty hard to verticle fish.
The crazy thing is he could make a lot of money for a hobby, he loves, and enjoys, as we all do. He doesn't even compete in every tournament, because his work, or his schedule. But he dominates the ones he's in. Last year he fished with GB, and Greg put his Bass numbers caught, the lengths, and the cash and prizes he's won. It's more than anyone else, in those tournaments. He's in his own league, especially in CA.
@@AnalogLives3 yes he is bro. I meant He could really just be making a lot more money for a talent he has. Fishing on a bigger stage. He doesn't even fish every tournament, and still won Angler of the year, Made more money, and his numbers are far ahead of everyone's. He's just awesome on that kayak, and any lake you put him on. When people struggle, he's finding 18 to 20 inch fish. Lol. Unbelievable!! 😎 🎣
Damian congratulations your the best in the West. Time to be the best in the World. Please give it a shot in 2023. You have a chance in becoming a LEGEND. We will support you. Take Care…….❤❤
Nice fishing Damian! It’s always cool to see how you win and what type of things you decide to do. It makes a huge difference when you make all the right choices!
pretty Solid First Day 👊 pretty sure i have something very very similar to that tail spin ( Silver / black back😎 I have yet to try them out ... looks like I'll be tying one on 👍
Hey bro! Question regarding your trolling motor. I know it’s a Xi3 but what is the length of the shaft to that motor? Also, I noticed that you have stern motor attachment. Which one do you prefer using in tournaments?
Yes, I would have found them with my side scan. You can’t miss a huge school like that with side scan. I wasnt really using my panoptics to catch them. I was just randomly fan casting into the channel for majority of my catches. As soon as you would see them on the panoptics they would already disappear so there really wasn’t a need to be looking at the graph. Had a higher chance of getting bit by randomly casting into the channel. Fish were really active so even if you didn’t see them, they would track it from a long distance away and hit it.
