Hi Caco, from India, since more than a decade have been watching around 30+ car review channels globally, your presentation, review points, language, voice modulation and slickness in talking is the best, almost all are not as complete as you. You are fun being still very classy, one of the most difficult thing. Great to see a car review presenter being so cool and classy. Thanks..
The Raize is probably the best small car Toyota has ever produced. Small, compact, economical and cheap. Not to mention good looking. Toyota has winner here.
Sir, car reviewers should only be boring or out of this world exaggerated. You've broken the trend. You actually got my attention from start to finish. Keep it up!
Watching this car review as a 4th year college student ✌️🥺✌️ I’ve been wanting to have my own car for my convenience but that seems impossible for me at this point 😞 the raize looks like the perfect car for first time car owners especially to gen z female drivers
Thank you sir dahil sa iyo nakabili ako ng Raize sulit talaga saka ang tipid. 1st time ko pa mag Toyota buong buhay ko puro mitsubishi. Thank you agaon!!!!
I'm already driving my NEW white pearlToyota Raize as my first car as a physician! Your review was pretty much useful. It was easy to understand and worth watching indeed! On the side, I like your white shirt!
It would be an understatement if I say this would be a hit if released in India. It would be a sleep walk for Toyota and win in micro suv segment or even sub compact suv segment. Looks like a winner for sure
Several owners in Indonesia had reported that their Raize will overheat the CVT in a long incline (uphill) road. They need to stop, turn off the engine and wait for the CVT to cool off, then continue the trip.
Well the overheat is actually not coming from the cvt, but from the engine safety measure when it detect the engine temperature rise too high for far too long, due to the inexperience driver with cvt keep rev in high rpm when going uphill in M mode. It is suggested to keep the gear in D if you still new with cvt and maintain the rpm under 2000. The raize have 140nm is adequate for crawling uphill. Out of 10.000 raize sold on 2021 the overheat only happen in about less than 10 unit. Just remember this is a crossover not real suv off-road with 4x4 choose the road wisely.
imo, the front wheels' orientation display would be quite helpful to beginner drivers which is a plus point for this as a beginner car, not too much tech and comfy seats
Just when the Kia Stonic and Chery Tiggo 2 are supposed to be on the rise, the Toyota Raize came. Maybe, among subcompact crossovers, only the sales of the Geely Coolray will not be affected by the arrival of the Raize.
@@cyborgscanner Initially, I also liked the Venue (w 6 airbags for the TOTL, below 1M, etc.). But I became wary of the vehicle bec of serious engine issues of Hyundai (and Kia). Even though the engine issues are in other countries, I can't help but doubt the quality of Kia and Hyundai vehicles..
Bossing nag enjoy ako sa presentation mo,im proud i have Raize 1.0 Turbo and hindi ako nagkamali ng choice pero nag-enjoy talaga ako sa presentation mo sir...thank u....
This is my brothers first car.. The Turbo Variant.. and I can say the design, the interior and performance is worth the price.. Sleek and compact.. The best subcompact suv so far..
Sana may test drive review din for Toyota Raize Turbo especially sa akyatan/uphill driving with 3 adult passengers at the back and 1 sa katabi ng driver para malaman if kaya ba at easy lang kay Raize Turbo yung ganung driving scenario. 😊
big brands here in the PH abuse their customers by still keeping sub par features and not deploying safety features that you would get in the same car if you're in a different country(indonesia for example) all the while keeping the same price points. It is because we don't have a law requiring such. Jeez. would rather pick a brand that gives those features at a proper price point.
a lot of this, and i mean a lot, will be on the road this coming months... if you need a vehicle that will bring you from point A to point B... the base variant is not bad actually... the price is so competitive too...damn :)
The base variant already sounds nice. A 1.2 Liter, 87 horsepower N/A engine with manual transmission sounds pretty good on paper. I'm just curious as to which features and accessories will be lost on the base model when compared to the top of the line 1.0L turbo.
@@jasperpamilar2688 Yeah, just found a copy yesterday after watching this video. All the variants seem pretty nice for the price range. The base models will probably sell like hotcakes as they're still decently spec'd and considerably affordable.
It's good, specially if you're reluctant in choosing its Chinese competitor, like the MG and the Geely. Never doubted Toyota when it comes to reliability. But personally for me, the top of the line variant is a bit expensive for what you get. If you're also considering a sedan, I would go with the Honda City RS instead.
@@markjavier8157 that I agree. If you live in a place with lots of rough roads, or does occasionally gets flooded (only by a certain level), this surely is one of those you should considering getting.
The Kia Stonic and Toyota Raize both have a Gasoline Manual Transmission Variant as their most affordable offering-also both at approx. P750k. I think a "Face-Off / Showdown" between those two Models will make a great comparison/video [for consumers who are on a budget looking for their first car].
For the Japan market model, on the rear side of the center console, two USB-C charging outlets are installed aside from the steering wheel located on the right side. Thank you so much for introducing the Philippines model. I hope people there to love driving this practical SUV!
This should be a wake up call for suzuki spresso... they will be left in the dust if they wont bring their matic variant here in PH... Good job toyota!
I kinda think Cacao is looking like a Piolo Pascual starter pack. 😁 He is very entertaining to watch and is not boring at all. He doesnt even have to try. ❤️🙌
please tell us about how “strong” the engine is when you are inside the car? like is it sturdy enough to bring 4 persons uphill to baguio without revving up too much?
Turbo is there just for fuel efficiency, that's it. As for the paddles, I won't bother if I were you. It's just a gimmick. It's still an economy car at the end of the day.
Better go for the Vitara. More worth your money. When you get this, a Vitara driver will overtake you doing 140, and you can't catch up. Unless you like going slow. The Vitara also has more space IMO.
@@Drone_SOX It's alright. I'm more on the practical than overtaking drivers hehehe. Unless I'll be able to purchase the Vitara Grip (which I can't), I think I'll get my money's worth with the Raize. :)
Bitcoin trading is easier when you have the strategies and knowledge..l tried placing my trades all by myself but ended in a messed up situation, I will advise you trade with a reliable one
Best reviewer in the Philippines! ❤️❤️ Please have a Comparo video with 2022 Toyota Raize and Suzuki Vitara. More powers to you Sir Caco and AutoDeal Team!!! 👍👍👍
Thanks Caco. Viewed this in the Dealer showroom awhile ago and was still contemplating to buy for my daughters as we prepare for F2F classes again. I was still having second thoughts but your review now really convinced me to go ahead and just do it. 😍
Toyota continues to uphold its tradition of underpowering its vehicles. a vehicle with a body like an ecosport but with an Engine that does not even make 100HP
but the japanese brand EVs not selling like hotcakes. sure will u find that spare parts, battery replacement, accessories and supply. korean brand EVs are better like EV6, Niro and Ioniq5.
Since Sir Caco opt to talk slower, i watch their videos at 1.25 speed. Anyway, I hope in the next version/edition, toyota put a more powerful engine. I am hoping for a MT variant with at least 98hp max power and 140nm of torque. Im looking for a replacement of my car that max out at 87hp power and 117nm torque. And raize weighs more than my current car...so....i feel like this raize is underpowered compared to my car...except, of course, the turbo variant. But for the turbo's asking price, i'd rather go for something else like the likes of Honda B-RV though i need to spend a little more.
If you make a behind the wheel on this car can you do it with the manual too? Because of the time you only feature top of the line and as a viewer I like it but I have no money for the top of the line so I would like to know the bottom of the line too.
Toyota really is focused on safety and reliability. The back seat has no air vents, USB charging ports and center armrest. The rear breaks aren't discs. These things should, at least, be a standard on Toyota's top of the line models.
Dude, In Indonesia if u go for top of the line, u got Toyota Safety Senses (adaptive cruise control, line keeping assist, FCMBS, blind spot monitoring)
Don't really need disc brakes on a very low hp car. Air vents are useless since the front vents are already close enough for you as standard. It's a SMAAALL car, not a Fortuner. Plus, "other" features really are just gimmicks. You DON'T NEED them. Good drivers make use of their damn eyes, ears and peripheral visions. Those "useless" features will just make u loose your senses on the road like a kamote.
@@kbpaano2006 This is a lifestyle car, so as Starbucks. Yes this car has the 3in1 na kape variants, since this car is gonna be hotcake anyways. But still some want an extra Posh in this car. And if they're going Tim Hortons on this car, then surely dami naman money burner sa Pinas. Turbo-CVT na, kahit kasing lasa lang ng 3in1. Now to answer your question, no, not a bang for the buck sakin. Unlike me, Tambay ako ng Starbucks Mindanao, pero sa Mcdo ako bibili ng kape pati donut sa Dunkin. LOL. But to some, they have no problem with this price and that, you and I aren't the target audience.
I'll rather choose the base variant Geely Coolray over the TOTL raize. I'll get more power and features. Downside less fuel efficient lang with the Coolray.
The lower variant's engine is just too small (1.2L and only has 87 HP and 113 Nm), on paper pretty feels lackluster compared to its competitors (I think its the smallest engine on a crossover). The higher variant's 1.0L turbo, has pretty decent HP and torque, but its a turbo... I really don't trust turbos, its just too costly if its broken, especially if you're planning to own the car for years. Can't wait for Cacos full review. Interested on how the 1.0L turbo's driving experience.
We own 3 cars all with turbo on it. 2 cars have been on the road for 5 years already. No problem with turbo. Its just messy to clean. Im actually interested with that 1.0, i bet if you change that tiny intercooler and tune it, it can boost to 120hp. Tuners and racers a like will love this car.
It's a Daihatsu, I;ve been in japan for 8yrs and the Daihatsu move with turbo I had is still as good as new. My old 2014 Mercedes A-Class is also brand new and its turbo hasn't been as livelier than 8yrs ago. Now I also have a GLC Turbo Diesel and I always floor it and still hasn't cried. Turbo today is very reliable ;)
@@kendelion I got a bad experience with turbo, especially a 1.0 3 cylinder engine. The Ford Fiesta 1.0 turbo (also 3 cylinder) 2014 causes lots of headache. We sold it last year. We did have a Ford Focus RS 2.3 ecoboost, the engine is really good, but we got an issue with the alternator and its maintenance is quite costly, so we sold all our Ford. But I got to admit that I have not tried a turbo from toyota.
@@EmylPangan Thats good for you. Got a terrible and costly experience on Ford Fiest 1.0 turbo (3 cylinder). 5 years after its issues starts coming out. One very common and prevailing issue is the engine getting overheated -- couple of times its due to its coolant. Although Ford Focus 2.3 RS was good though. We do have issues with it but not an engine related one.
