Hi Brian - After one of your previous videos I started using the HOLD feature on my C-HR. I love it in go-stop's between traffic lights. Greetings from South Africa
Fantastic information! I’ve been looking at the Sienna for a year now and am getting ready to put a refundable deposit down at two local dealerships. Might take up to 6 months to get one. I’d love a video that breaks down the differences between an XLE and a Limited. We have a regular 12 hour drive one way and I’m thinking I’d love the middle row ottomans! We have three driver’s. Well, we will by next year! We currently drive our 2010 Odyssey which makes the drive pretty painless. Except for the MPG!
I got a 2023 rental for a while and was kind of sad that it doesn't have a remote starter (i live in a cold area), i came here to get familiar with the settings and found out that it actually does have a remote starter. Thank you
Thanks for the video. Is there a way you can make a new video with Matt instructions for adding addresses when not in your vehicle plus map instructions.
Hello Brian, I want to ask something abt the key fob. After I park the car, I’m unable to lock the vehicle with the key fob, likewise about 30-40 minutes later I can lock/unlock the car using the key. And also, I notice after parking the car, once I close the door, the car beeps 3-4 times.
I have a question with my 2022 Sienna XLE , When the car is on, no matter I am inside the car or outside the car with the key, the key fob wont work, I can not operate the key at all,. the car has to be off then my key fob works. Is this normal ? Thank you
Thank you for creating this video. For new owner who never own Sienna before, this is very informative and helpful. I would like to know if we can use any USB port for the Apple CarPlay projection. Can you please confirm? Also, is there a way we can calibrate the back up camera or adjust the guidelines (up/down, side ways)?
Thanks for whacking. Only the usb nearest the driver works for CarPlay. For calibration I don’t think but service may have a way to change that for you. If it has the dynamic grid lines, you can adjust them with the button on the lower left or lower right of screen when you’re in reverse.
is it normal that for example, at 10:30 mark, the speedometer shield gets a lot of reflection? mine gets a ton of reflection, making it hard to see many things. I never had this problem before with other cars.
Hmmm haven’t had that complaint very often sorry. Perhaps there may exist a screen protector for that speedo lens that will tone it down a notch for you.
Hi Brian I have a question regarding LTA button. I used to drive sienna 2021, when I press LTA button and drive out of the lane it beeps to warn really loud. Now I got 2022 sienna and put LTA button on why there is no warning sound whe I drive out of the lane? Is there any way to make it sound for warning? Thanks
I have a question about the climate control, which will probably be the same for all Toyotas - If I select AUTO, will the climate control automatically switch on AC if required or should one do it manually or similarly, if I have AC switched on will in AUTO mode, will it switch of AC when the set temperature is reached. I have been trying to figure this out, but still cannot determine how to use the AC with the AUTO setting. Thanks again.
Yes in theory it should do that. But I recommend popping the book open just to triple verify for your specific car in your region that this is how they designed it to work. I personally don’t use auto so I’m not fluent in how it performs. I just set it to my fav temp and out on fan speed 2 and pretty much enjoy it most of the time that way. Only when the weather is hot do I select AC and recirculate which don’t forget in hot weather you’ll always want to use recirculate with the AC
Thank you for so much much needed data for my new 2023 Sienna Hybrid. I have had ours for almost a month now. My remaining question is whether there is a driver memory for the seat (my Escape Titanium had settings to remember the seat positions (and mirrors) for up to 3 drivers. That was a very useful option. My wife is 5' 2" and I and 6' 0". She "always" reset my seat so I could enter and proceed with driving without the hassle of readjusting the seats and mirrors. Does the Sienna have a similar function? Thanks...
@brianruperti Hi Brian! And in what slot? The same as CarPlay/AndroidAuto? If so, I won't be able to use a USB stick with music and AndroidAuto simultaneously. Is it so? For comparison, with the 2018 Honda Pilot, you can connect your phone to a USB connector on the shelf under the display, and a USB stick with music to another connector inside the center console and use them simultaneously. Thanks.
Hi Brian, Thanks for this helpful video. I am driving now a new 2022 Sienna XSE I picked up last week, I have a lot of questions, but first I will ask about the HOLD button, I found it very helpful, but it's very annoying that I have to activate it on every drive, is there a way to keep this feature on as default?
Hey thanks for watching and nice van! Toyota doesn’t have a way to keep it on because technically it could cause a safety issue if a new driver gets in and is not familiar with the feature. This is why Toyota has chosen to make it default to off. Similar to how the traction control defaults to back on when the user turns it off. Prevents safety hazards from an unfamiliar driver who doesn’t know how these alterations affect the otherwise normal drive. Hope that helps!
It doesn't help you didn't change that. It changes everything to Celsius and kilometers, but not the outside temperature, which is located on the top left corner, it's a bummer. At the dealer, they couldn't do it. They said maybe it's meant to stay on Fahrenheit all the time??
