2022 update: I'm happily rocking the 2022 Farmer 10-10.5 shell with the THEM Medium V4 liners, no power strap and laced waxed laces all the way to the top hole. They are so good especially for how cheap they are. The new soul plates are a dream!!!!! My style and ankle strength has changed greatly so I definitely have a different view on this boot that I will be addressing shortly in a new YT video.
Sadly I can no longer skate M12s. My foot just got too numb too quickly. I have wide fat feet.

The USD Farmer Sway blades caught my eye a while back. I love my ROCES m12 LO TIDES but I'm having some issues with my right foot that is a little fatter then my left apparently. My left foot fits perfectly in the Roces but my right is just a smidge cramped. And sadly after an hour of skating it gets a little numb. It's very odd so I decided to check out some other skates to see if it happens on those too. Roces RL1 liners maybe? Let me know if you have any tips.
maybe @roces_official might have a trick.
The Roces are just so awesome though. I love how slim, clean and simple they are. And you can strap in super fast.
The USD Farmer Sway blades are very comfortable but much more complicated. Also I think my ankles need to be a little stronger to handle the lack of forward support. It's not a bad thing. You might just need to get used to it. How do y'all rock your Sway boots?
I have some Them 909 blades in the mail. next session I will hopefully be able to review those.

Put back in the shock absorber for the heel tiredness. And liner laces + 45 strap will help with forward support.

That 45° strap is for that forward support I just added one to my Razors cult helps with the wide right foot 😉 I don't have to lace so tight and buckle down and keep the cuff a little loose for flex.

hahaha Thank you. Still working on that. Mixing and mastering is an art in itself. I started using sidechain compression. That makes it much faster.

@@jadrollervlog yeah you can use ducking/sidechain compression instead of manually automating the level of the music, but i think just having a good ear for when to boost the music to speech level and by how much is all you really need for YT. You seem to have that down. Some (many) people do not

Follow the tutorial from power slide about the crown liners to fit them better. Pop em on an oven and strap them up really tight and wait.

I know this is old - but I find the Sways shell had tons of room for downsizing. I’d personally try an 8-9 shell if you’re a size 10. I wear size 11.5-12 (~290mm) and am in the 10-10.5 sway shell with 12 2nd skin. I’ve even thought about trying the 8-9 just to see since I still have room in the 10.

Heyup. I love any videos about skates. I have the Chris Farmer Sways and I keep hearing people say they have alot of forward flex, but all I have to compare it to is my Remz Haffey 04 Ones. And I don't feel any real difference, so I'm very curious to try a different skate at some point. Also the way you set your foot up in the USDs threw me off, I forget everyone puts skates on differently. I never touch the laces on the boot, I have the ends tucked into the boot out the way. I use the laces on the liner to secure my foot and then crank the buckle and the 45° strap. Tongue inserts always seem to pop out as soon as I've landed and squatted down a few times so I just take 'em out before I skate now. The buckles not great, I broke one the other day. 🙄 They grind beautifully though, you showed alot of self control not grinding them!

hahaha It was temping to grind. The plate looks dope! I had Remz and yeah those were very flexy. I want to revisit this shell with Intuition liners and Kekoa straps.

Should have tried the usd as it came...🤔 I've always loved roces, never tried usd. But if your gonna compare surly compare as stock, seems like you took all the usd stuff off?

Yes because stock felt the same. I tried them both ways. I wanna revisit these shells with Intuitions. MyFit liners never seem to work for me. Intuitions are my fav.

Cant just Take off powerstraps and remove shock absorbers. Completely voids nearly all aspects of any comparison. Cuff height. Step and flex are all changed. Get the usd if you have wide feet and the roces if you have narrow feet. Try any skate on before you buy it.

That would be true except putting them back on made no difference to me. Forward flex was still way to much. Also again. Way to complex in my opinion. Them Skates and Roces are nice And simple.

Around 8:50 you start looking like Aaron FEINBERG. Maybe its just me. You are so my style. Anti-rocker for life. Im 31and when I started blading in like 01', I had a used pair of K2 125's. I was HOOKED. BRINK - SOUL SKATER. I went from the K2's trading friends and using hand me downs to some Razors Elliot 2's, then got my friends old SHIMA 3's and finally the Cult 6's.... I sadly took a long break from like 2009-2017 from blading but I bought the SL's like 2.5 years ago and its like I havent skipped a beat. I need a helmet though. I fear for going for stuff I wanna do bc Im older and in my mind ive advanced my trick repertoire...but i dont know if I physically have bc I just dont street skate like I used to. Its pretty much all park when I skate now. HELMET INCOMING...

Aeons are my favorite personally. Keeps me from wanting to constantly switch things up. I already window shop for wheels all the time so at least it helps me save on money 😂

A little late to the party, why wouldn’t you just get the Roces 5th elements? Wider skates with probably the same size soles as those USDs and a much better buckle.

Forward support? That’s a first. I think that’s what your calf muscles are for. You must be a downhill skier. Nah... go with the skate that makes your foot numb.

Hahaha okay... I went with THEM skates. Great support and no numb feet. I think my calf muscles are pretty good and I actually snowboard. I think it's just preference. I assume you prefer less to no forward support. I like a little forward support. Especially on ramp.

I already had the frames. I didn't put a scratch on the boots. The boots were returned in perfect condition. I was able to get my white THEM White 909s from the same shop since they were so clean.

When you strip components off a skate and then complain about forward flex, I don’t mean to judge but I don’t think you have grounds to be doing reviews on skates when you don’t fully understand them
