Hi Erica, Sadly I don't watch your channel very often but I'm always interested in how other sewists and quilters set up their rooms or spaces. I do like your new set up much better, with the pressing station directly behind your machine. Best feature of your room: Jackson your beautiful cat. Such a happy colorful AND ORGANIZED room!! I would love to come and play at your house. When I was living in CT ( most of my life) We remodeled our 2nd floor when the kids moved out. I had 920 sq ft of ME space. I had a sewing/ quilting room with most of the other space for my card making/ paper crafting area with an 8ft work table. I took several of the ikea bookcases and created a wonderful granite top table. I now live in FL with a tiny little space. Sadly a lot of my things are in storage. Erica your room is really beautiful and peaceful. gayle

I love your sewing room tours. You show everything clearly. Without going drawer by drawer detail and yacking yacking haha. But your sewing room is lovely either way it gets rearranged. This time you have more of your makes exposed and that's a lot of fun to see!! I have a small room but am able to roll from machine to cutting to ironing stations with ease and all my tools are easily accessible. Very messy looking when in project mode. I got the white chair through you/Amazon for my room and like it very much. I would love to have those scrap bins you got from target but no space for them. Your white baskets I also picked up a few for my fabrics and I am liking those and the organization method as well. You have really good tips. I just finished your snowy day quilt pattern (top only so far). I learned a lot from making it. It came out very well! Thanks Eric's for your wonderful videos. They are the best and always make a good day for me to see one!! 💗🙏

Same here, I love the glider(and Jax) in the corner. I did the same thing, but a rocker. :) Love the wreath and the glass scrap bins where you have them (3:17), they're so pretty. :) The mats under the mugs & jars are real cute and colorful. So fun! Love the little fabric bowls for your clips and the little pin cushions. I made one from your tutorial then added Velcro to attach to my sewing machine. Your fabric wall shelving and organization is the best I've seen anywhere--hands down. I wish I had all your fabric--beautiful! I think the pressing station behind your sewing area is ideal. I have a similar set up and I love it. I think I like this set up best of all just love that whole area, it looks productive and practical. You did a great job. The slap bracelet idea is clever, thanks for sharing your ideas. Erica, you are amazing and inspiring! Happy sewing and thank you for such great instruction!

I wish my sewing room was as pretty and organized as yours. Too much other stuff in mine besides sewing things. Drafting table, table pin ball machine. Although, my husband made a board to fit over the top of pinball machine to use as a cutting table. I also have an old industrial sewing machine in there besides my regular machine. I'll take your room over mine!

I just had professional organizers in for 3 days to help me organize my sewing studio. We moved in a year ago to this smaller house, but my sewing room is in a big loft space. I have four sewing machines in here

I didn’t finish my thoughts and hit the send button by mistake. I also have three sergers and a cutting table and ironing board. There is a hide-a-bed sofa and an easy chair with ottoman. I could almost live here. I’m going to add a tv and there is a bathroom right off it and a closet with my off-season clothes. I am thrilled beyond belief. It is not quite as pretty and inspiring as your room, but I just love it! I just finished a pair of capris and will make one also in another color. I have a quilt in progress and a bag that I will make also. I’m just having so much fun I hate to do anything else. I know I’m so lucky! Enjoy your pretty new studio.

What a beautiful room. It's only during the pandemic that I started wrapping my head around the idea that workspace should not only be functional, but also aesthetically pleasing. Looks like content creators and crafters/artisans were way ahead of us. Funny how one sees all those ads for expensive craft storage online, yet pros like you just buy IKEA furniture and make it work so well! The series of awkward smiles in the bloopers made me laugh so hard :D

Just to let you know I have a green Elna as well, it looks the same and was bought new in 1963. I don’t know how many years they made the green but I’m sure of the year. My Mom bought it new, she stopped sewing a couple of years ago and it’s now mine. I love the look of it.

Love this video! Another trick I started doing with the sewing foot pedals is to turn the foot pedal completely around where your foot rests on the highest side- that way when you press you are barely using the front of your foot instead of raising the entire foot to actually press the pedal. Hope this makes sense but for me it changed the motion from a full on press with entire foot to barely having to rest your foot on the pedal 😀I use to get leg cramps from sitting at my sewing machine pressing the pedal for hours during the day- now I very rarely get leg cramps anymore. 😃

Beautiful room and storage! My problem is I craft too much and I seem to be seasonal in what craft I do so I can't keep everything out all the time. I just don't have the space. So I put up whatever craft I am no longer doing and drag out everything I am until the mood changes and I pull out the next and put everything up again. It's rather a process and I do anticipate having my own craft room one day. My kids are grown and my daughter will be moving out in a couple years we think and we plan to move around that time and oh boy you can bet, high on my must haves will be a space for crafting!

I have my ironing board lowered and next to my one machine and my cutting desk. I sit in my sewing chair and just turn to whatever position I am working on. If I am sewing on my other machine I do have to get up and walk, but I do have a small cart that I can cut and iron on besides it holding other items that I use.
