Recently got a 2024 and i picked the S over the SE, theres definitely some upgrades but i couldn't stand the touch AC controls as well as the digital buttons on the wheel. I loved that sunroof but I know for a fact id never get used to those two things - physical dials and buttons every of the week!
Hey! Congratulations for your video! I see it from Argentina. In January I´m gonna move to US for my job and the 2022 VW Tiguan is my selected car. I´m asking if your test car haved additional equipment in addition to the 4motion system. Regards!
No alarm system in S, that did it for me being in a bigger city. SE is well worth the extra money for what you get (including alarm system), so I opted for that. And it comes in the deep Atlantic blue I got🤩
@@chocolatewheelchair the alarm at least makes noise so it draws attention to the burglar and the fact is has an alarm on the dash most people who break into cars notice it (the red flashing light) and will go for the car that doesn’t. Many times they know what does or doesn’t have an alarm. And the SE with the VW app you get alerted to call the police if your car is broken into with is pretty cool. You don’t even have to be near your car to know similar to a house alarm.
@@Eg-jd9zt that’s a good feature to be notified when you’re not near the car. When one of my old cars got broken into I didn’t know till I got to it like 2 days later
2022 Tiguan SE. Have you noticed any transmission shifting issues? I have. It appears to shift up and down/ back and forth a lot. I feel a pulse/jerk at times when it shifts from gear 6-7-8. Just cursing at 45-48 MPH. Also, notice the rear shocks seem stiff. I don't think it rides that well for the money.
Seems odd, I have driven lots of the 2018+ Tiguans and have not noticed that. Although I haven’t driven a 2022 for more than this test drive seen in the video.
It is a somewhat firm smooth riding vehicle. There was a lawsuit with the Aisin transmission a couple years ago, but I'm pretty sure Volkswagen and Aisin fixed it or updated it.
@@paulschab8152 Dealer took it back. I was hoping it would work out. Tiguan also has a known secondary air valve issue that VW is aware about. But VW is not willing to correct it.
@@paulschab8152 That's what I thought, but the service tech, manager, and VW North America said its something you have to live with. They would try nothing to correct it. It has never had a code or check engine light either. That's what I continued to ask. The car would miss/hesitate almost every morning and sometimes in the afternoon just after starting. The service manager even told me he has the same 2022 vehicle and it does the same thing. He lives with it. VW Corporate Quote: (Its a normal characteristic of the vehicle). They would do nothing. With ALL of the issues I noticed within the the first week or so I knew this was not right. So after I took the vehicle back for several service visits, phone calls and documentation they took the vehicle back. Longer story.
