well depends on the country and rider. its a modular license plate holder tho, you can remove that big bracket and make it a tail tidy. €200 is a bit expensive for a tail tidy after all.

Man I got approved for mine a used blue one with 400 miles on it and I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for the dmv to send the title to the dealership before they can legally sell it to me. Just sitting in the dealership. It’s mad torture

I like the R7 generally. Even with significantly less top end, I like the character of the engine better than the R6. It is much better if you are riding it on the street. If you are primarily a track rider, the major downside with the R7 is the suspension, but given the price difference between what the R6 was selling for and the R7, you can do some significant upgrades there.

I dont ride a mt07 nor a r7. it was my understanding that the r7 was specifically designed TO be a race bike. Why would the suspension be the downside of the r7 when thats exactly why it was made? right? it supposed to be the race version of the mt07 no? a little price difference sure, not much but i can see it being a problem for some. Still, i'd take my r6 base over any overly upgraded 07.

I really don't understand why you'd need it tho. If you drop the bike chances are you'll be dealing with fairing damages anyway, the lever is gonna be a small cost.

@@adirshelly1237 no, it hasn’t been confirmed. All “sources” are from poorly written clickbait articles and shitty RU-vid videos with low effort voice-overs. Yamaha at this point in time has not confirmed the r9. And it will most likely never happen.

@@Yamabrah_YZF I mean it would fill the gap between the R7 and r1 perfectly. It already passes euro emissions, all they'd really have to do is throw some fairings on the SP model with some extra chassis reinforcements. I'd honestly be surprised if they didn't release it.

This is cool for new riders. I certainly would have enjoyed having this on my A2 license. But now unfortunately it is a downgrade for me, not gonna buy a sub 100 horsepower bike ever again in my life. I'm only going up, next step is something above 150hp, like a streetfighter v2/v4, speed triple 1200 or bmw 1000r. So even an R9 would be underpowered too for me, I'm just that simple, I love super powerful motorcycles, I like performance, that's why I ride them, so the R7 now looks more like commute bike compared to what I have.

On twisty roads a lighter, less powerfull bike can outperform hypernaked/supersport bikes. I have a 1290 superduke but I also enjoy riding my wife's street triple 675 because the power is more useable and feels so much more agile. I can see myself riding an R7 in the future but the superduke also stays ;)

It's main demographic is European riders not American. What I mean by that is this is the most powerful they could make the bike for it to still be A2 licence compliant (in the UK at least you have tires of licence that determine who can ride what bikes as alot of our roads are older then the states) . The apriallia 660(witch people commanly class in the same class as the r7) isn't A2 compliant even after restricted. Its not a cc or hp limit. Its a power to weight ratio styem. An r5 wouldn't sell well as it'll be viewed in the same class as the cbr500, ninja 400 ext. The R7 is the bridge from the r3 begginer sport bike to the r6 witch is Now full flged track bike
