I have the same exhaust on my 14' r6, no cat. Makes it sound grunty at low speeds, but an f1 at high rpm. the 2cyl engine really makes it super deep, wasn't expecting that.
If you’ve both RS 660 and R7, I’d say you’ve the best sport bikes in the middleweight category. I owe the r7 ( though I wanted the RS660, but my pocket didn’t allow) and I don’t regret it. I derestricted the r7, installed kyb front suspension, changed the break pads ( to me the stock ones felt very woody and lacked initial bite), an akro slip on, and added a quick shifter. Viola!!! The best sport bike for road, track and twisties. However, the rs660 is a premium bit of kit.
Man I am wanting a sport bike to compliment my Bolt eventually. And I'm one of those people who want a ZX10R or ZX6RR. But whenever I see this particular bike I just can't help but want it even if it's slower for a sport bike. It looks fun and hella nice looking.
Love this exhaust...the shorty just looks so nice and clean!! Love the livery they put on the new Yamaha bikes too!!!! I want either one of these or an RS660!!
@@Victor_Moto it would be my first bike so the different modes and safety features (abs, T.C., and wheelie control) of the Aprilia are really important to me. I want to take a safety course or two and ride with extreme caution IF I get either one.
@@dhowting Sorry to be that guy.. But, your first bike? Learning to ride on a smaller, 'safer,' cheaper bike could potentially save you a lot of heartache down the road. Duke 390, Ninja 400, r3, etc.
Cool video 💪🏼 in California unfortunately the rear signal lights have to be at least 6in away from break light. To comply I added additional led turn signals to the under tail. Thanks again for a cool video 💪🏼✌🏼
@@Victor_Moto I do not have the cool R7 like you have the one Yamaha I still have is a 2013 purchased new fz6r with 80K miles. I probably would have 95k but it sat in storage for a couple of years but I rebuilt it custom about 2 yrs after purchase just to learn. Thanks for your reply and here's a video of the bike ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PqdG75oRLHA.html
Great video. It is a beautiful bike 🏍 with an amazing sound. Outside of a up and down quickshifter I say replace the front turn signals with some flush mounted signals to really streamline the bike.
I have right now an FZ6, but I am so fucking in love with the R7!!! Imma get the R7 60th anniversary with the Ohlins NIX30 suspension upgrade... Cannot wait to get it and take it to the track =P
Just looked at the exact same model earlier this morning and I plan on getting it after this weekend 🤘🏼 in loveee with the bike and all the reviews and everything I can’t wait to be back out on the road my previous bikes chillin in the garage rn needs a rebuild she’s an old 87 ls650 but the bike before that was a 600kf and I had some fun with that and I wanna get back into the sport bikes without having one that’ll get me into too much trouble. 😏 thanks for the video and thanks everyone for the good reviews to help me in deciding that an R7 was my next bike.
Oh absolutely no problem. I loved the video thanks for making it!! 🤘🏼 that exhaust note tho ouuu 🤤 that’s gonna be a must as an upgrade I’ve heard the stock exhaust and it’s soooo quiet that and a rear plate frame kit I don’t really like the look of the stock one but all that will be after I ride her for awhile and see what I really want/ need. Thanks again!!
Please use your hands as turn signals my man, there is no way a cager can determine if you are going left or right with those "turn signals". Stay safe and enjoy the ride.
Funny how I have been there before. I have never been to Cali, Never been to the US. yet I have driven these roads enjoyed those views. Probably rode a bike of the top of that parking garage.
@@Nosotros420 That's cool. This is my usual ride-through exhaust sound tunnel since m shop is literally right next to it. Thanks for watching! More soon.
@Victor_Moto do you still have the bike? Doing research on bikes, since am new at the riding adventures. It was mentioned while researching that the seat is uncomfortable ... Am looking also at an older gsxr 600...they are based on their race platform and very simple electronics. Appreciate the advice and ty for responding. Safe riding 🏍🏍🏍😎😎😎💪💪💪
I miss the r6, wish they made the 7 using the r6 body :( Btw, are these integrated blink lights legal? both left and right lights are super close to each other, I doubt the car behind can tell what’s going on, looks more like a hazard light
Good question. I doubt they pass DOT guidelines for rear signals because they are so close to each other. If you're concerned about this, I recommend external signals like Rizoma.
Imagine this: You pull up to a red light on the GSX R750Z, then pulls up a dude on this R7 right next to you. How do you feel? Now imagine that again but flip the bikes; you're on the R7 and the GSX pull up next to you. How do you feel? Regret? FOMO? Or Pride? Satisfaction?
Must be my Beats studio ear buds but, it sounds like a 2cyl. I had a new R6 with 110hp and it sounded like a 750-900 with the Competition Werks exhaust.
My R6 was a 4cyl, with Competition Werx Titanium exhaust tail pipe. Riding threw small towns the sound would reflect off of the buildings and sound like thunder. I truly miss it. Had no clue this was a 2cyl. My starter bike was a Kawasaki 500 Ninja. 60hp 2cyl. When I went to the 110hp R6 it wasn't even in the same league. The R6 would do 165mph with less than $300 in upgrades. Just cruising at 45ish late at night with city lit up......good times.
Where’d you get the SC? I have a 60th anniversary as well and the only exhausts that I have found are the spark, the yoshi, and the m4. The SC looks the best in my opinion!
yeah man im sure the coppers behind you wont pull you over for "indicators" like that give me a fkn break yeah it looks good and if I could I would run no indicators but sometimes when I just want to have a chill ride and not bother about anything else last thing I want is to be stressing about losing demerit points, the money isnt an issue but the points are
also tell me this how is someone able to tell what direction you're turning because it would be better if it was still in the same tail light shield but on the outer edge so its mroe distinguishable and that would be more borderline illegal but it would be noticeable
Please don’t compare this to the rs660. The Aprilia has way more power, it’s a lot more fun to ride, overall you get really pissed easily while on this when you get passed by a Prius, a Honda Grom, a huffy. And when it comes to quick shifter, you can buy one from Yamaha when you buy the bike. It’s like $250 extra
Good point on the QS. But you'd still be way down on power to the RS660. Also, I've ridden many thousands of miles on the track without "rev matching" while downshifting and have yet to ruin a clutch. Good thing for autoblippers I guess. ;)
@@Victor_Moto I guess that makes sense, however, for the price of the rs660 can’t you just buy a zx6r for $14499CAD? The rs660 cost $15300CAD in Ontario, it makes no sense to buy it just saying!
@@Victor_Moto well I’m looking for reliable and so far the rs660 already has a recall and gets cracked engine blocks at only 6000 miles lol. Cp2 engine is under stressed Yamaha even said its their most reliable engine. I’m also looking at a used FZ10 (same price as new R7) but I’m afraid of the exploding second gear issue and connecting rod failure.
Just got a blue r7 and I'm thinking about this exhaust it looks good and sounds good on video. I'm just wondering if my ears will be ringing after a ride? It's hard to tell from a video, thanks
Nice bike but this is cp2 engine like in MT07, I have MT07 and it have similar sound with similar exhaust. CP3 engine wuld be nice in bike like that :)
