Did you teach yourself how to drive a manual back when you were a teenager? Well for me when I was in my teens after getting my license, I always dodged driving them simply because I wasn't feeling stick shifts. But upon reaching my early 20s I actually tought myself how to drive a manual and once I got the hang of it, it was all gravy!
I grew up riding dirt bikes and raced AMA motocross all through high school. My first car was a manual and I drove it fine the first time. My dad drove it home for me. But then I hopped in and picked it up instantly. Was a bit jerky but it wasn’t much of a change coming from dirt bikes
hey guy i LOVE ALL of your reviews always super-detailed so thank you for that! this will not matter to others not interested in this 'Nocturnal black' is this a metallic/pearl-paint? on videos and in the sun it appears to look it but just wondering.another great review!
I'm going to be purchasing one of these, or a new Nissan Z. I had a 2006 NISMO Z bought new, had it for 7 years zero issues. Here's my concern with the Supra; Most of the major components are BMW, and BMW is not exactly known for reliability. BMW's basically self-destruct as soon as the warranty runs out.
Ive owned serveral BMW's and i never had a single issue. Bmw e36 316i (55k miles), Bmw e36 323i (50k miles), Bmw e92 335i (20k miles), Bmw e90 320d (40k miles), Bmw F32 430d (5k miles so far). I really dont understand why people call them unreliable.
I hear you. However BMW has been in the top of reliability. Currently, Toyota, Lexus and BMW are the top 3 most reliable cars. BMW after 2020 is rock solid. Especially anything with the B58. Older BMW's are garbage for sure. But not the new ones. Toyota owns a stake in BMW now and they did a lot! New Nissan Z is cool, but I chose this over the Z after selling my 2020 Supra for the Z. Supra just is a better sportscar and feels like a $60k car
Nice to hear! The modern ones are even better! Now that Toyota has a stake with them BMW is ranked 3rd in reliability! Really 2nd since Lexus is 2nd to Toyota being #1 right now
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Cool. :) Even though I'm a former 350Z owner, and I like the new Z, I think the Supra looks better. I am leaning towards the Supra as far as purchasing. I own a '13 Tacoma TRD that I bought new and it has been unstoppable. That will be my daily driver. I'd like to keep it all Toyota. :)
The Toyota GR Supra is now the only GR model on the Toyota Romania website. The GR Yaris was sold over there, but I assume it’s sold out there, and Toyota is sadly not bringing the GR 86 to Romania. In Romania, the GR Supra comes with the 3-litre 6cyl with 340hp/369lbft of torque and either a 6MT or 8AT. Note the European spec 6cyl Supra has 340hp and not 387 like most other markets.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I see the GR Yaris is already sold out in a lot of European countries, so it shouldn’t be a big deal to bring the GR Corolla to Europe, including the UK, considering that the GR Corolla is available as RHD in Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Appreciate that! We like keeping the reviews simple to just show the car and create a good vid for people considering buying whatever car we’re filming! Thanks for checking out the vids!
I literally love this car! I think there's just No! other better car for the money. I feel like these cars are gonna go up in value overtime. Specially the manual, I sincerely hope this car really does well and send a message to Toyota to continue. You never know maybe they'll have a Track Edition where they make all the vents functional and significant bump in power. Eventhough, even if they didn't it's still very fine! Thats why we have the Aftermarket.
Do you think you'd be able to increase the sound of the pops and bangs through software? I think there was a way to do that with the auto, haven't seen anyone try with the manual yet. I know its not the point of the car, but I think small stuff like that adds character to the vehicle lol
I'll have to see. The car does pop a bit more in person now that I have some more miles. So we'll see what it sounds like with an exhaust and then once tuned
Let's get you guys to officially 300k subs!! Long road for that achievement but looking good doing it in that Supra! Glad you went with this over the Z! And glad you added the "Thanks" option to your channel I believe last year! Now it's just adding the "subs" gifting option and I'd love to help support the channel in this way too! Let us know Brian if you and your brother want to host a Q and A stream at some point and I'll be there! Have a good weekend and enjoy that beast! :)
Great breakdown of the car. I love the new supra. But I've never owned a car that have electronic ebrake. So hypothetically speaking, how would you be able to tow this car if you couldn't turn it on?
@@R0cket_Rabbitike most modern cars, the electronic brake probably won’t fail. Very unlikely especially since these cars are super reliable. But worst case put the tow hook in and drag it up a flat bed skidding the back wheels
Two things 1. Probably too soon to ask but can you feel the stock difference between the 20 and 23? (Future vid?) - I can’t on mine tbh 2. Minor but my trunk mat on the 23 doesn’t have the Supra logo anymore sigh - your dealer tell you why? Notice yours is missing it too
I did lowering springs a month after I bought me 2020. So I really cant tell how this feels vs the stock 2020. All I can say is, this car drives so nice and premium! My car does not have the Supra branded carpet floor mat. That would sit on top of the current floor. There is no removable carpet in the trunk of my car. So you probably are the same with just having the normal floor. My old Supra I got the trunk mat with the Supra name. It goes on top of the carpeted floor
I want the manual but I also live in Seattle (nothing but steep ass hills) plus I barely know how to drive stick. It's weird that the auto is actually cheaper.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed 😂. Yeah it was one of your earlier videos that inspired me to get the MST intake for my 2021 3.0 Supra. That induction nios really cool.
@@marqueseason6360oh sweet! I will be doing a lot of duplicate parts tho to film videos on a few products for our website. So I have a few intakes coming to film for the site. So I’m using this car also to test out parts from several brands
One of my friends with Toyota happened to have one come in and the buyer backed out. I got lucky on it. But they are out there. People are paying sticker for them, so just tell dealers no to mark up. Eventually you'll get one
the auto supra has amazing pops and cracks when you let off the throttle. This doesn't seem like it has hardly any except when you revved it, there was that little one. But not at all when you were driving...? Is it completely gone?
2020 was the loudest. 2021 they took everything away. 2022 got a bit better and 2023 sounds similar to 2022. As I slowly break in the car it does start to pop quite a bit more! But nothing beats what 2020 cars sounded like!
We’ll see! if the Nismo shows it up, I’ll get the Nismo. If not, big turbo for the Supra! And either get an M2 next or a special edition Supra if they make something more powerful
I knew you would be back with the manual supra. The manual Z is kind of a let down for the price (markups). I know you were dead set on a manual Z but when you compare the cars, the Z just doesnt quite measure up.
Kinda. I don't really have a 'daily' since I work from home half the time and have a press car half the time. But my wife's Audi S3 is more of the normal car to drive. Supra and GTR are my toys
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Thanks man, I will, just 2 things I’m worried about 1- will they have this car in 5 years? And 2- will there still be automatic? Actually and gas, since I found an exhuast from the RU-vidr illuminate which I love but I don’t think it makes sense to get rid of the automatic but it’s since I like automatic more
The automatic will always be available. The manuals are a much smaller amount of sales. There will be used ones for decades available! So when the time is right you'll easily find one!
Personally I like the Supra better. Handles better, can make similar power with a tune, and has a more refined interior. But the ZL1 is a beast! If you like muscle cars, it's a great choice!
Not planning on it soon. I'll see whenever the Nismo Z is available to buy. But I'm not selling this until I have a VIN on the Nismo. But that's only if it's better then this car. I was planning to buy the Z Performance, but couldn't say no to the manual Supra. SO much better. So well see
What would you like me to not talk about? Nothing seems excessive to me, just showing the car. You might like this version of review I did on this car better then. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PL_uN4RmxFQ.html
Not really! My brother had a C8 on order and with hardly any options it was $85K! No one is buying a base model C8 and they aren’t that cheap! So I could not have matched that price for a similarly equipped C8.
@@experssion123 haha true! Literally every time I see a C8. It’s an old guy with white hair. I don’t think I’ve seen a single young person driving one. And it’s been out for 4 models years. Definitely still an old guys car. And a tuned Supra is faster then a c8 anyways and more fun 🤩
lol I highly doubt that. But I don't really care if it wont make it to that mileage. I'll never own this car long enough to even remotely get there lol. But I've been babying the car since I bought it. Pushed it a little bit for the video, but these cars actually come with broken in engines so it's not really necessary to even baby it like I do.
