Thanks for sharing! I appreciate the helpful tidbits that were brought up by you and the commenters. It’ll be good to know in a few months when I pick up one of my own. Looking forward to an update 😁
Indeed marc and thanks for the comment. My next vid about this bike will be the upmap and full akra after my 600m break in. I also intend to address those heat issues. The bike is pure bliss and I believe if you take care of it properly, it will give you exactly what you ask of it.
I bought a 2023 RSV4 last year in the silver and am in love with it as well. Mine came from the dealer with an Austin Racing exhaust already installed. I added a Gabro tune and WOW. The sound is intoxicating as you have pointed out but also the power, feel, and over all riding experience is just incredible. My last bike was a 2013 GSXR 750 with tons of mods for the track and as much as I loved it this is something else entirely.
I couldn’t agree more. These bikes are flipping awesome! I’m coming up on my 1st service and definitely going for an exhaust and tune. I cannot wait!!!
It must be a great feeling! I myself have owned new big bikes as well and it's like a strange kinda happiness. I mean you think day and night about it... Intoxication is the word lol! Gotta love it!! California is where I lived most my life, but now am in Europe motorcycles are the in thing out here "thank God" Enjoy that beautiful ❤️ beast👍 Safe riding bud
Thank you very much for your kind words and enjoy motorcycling in Europe. Still love the beast and enjoying my time and ability to ride. Life is good right now! Juuuust working a bit too much lol. Guess you gotta pay to play.
Yes I’ve had them all except for the KTM RC8 and the RSV4 is easily my favorite Bike .. they kinda finicky when it comes to service and quirks but I love mine … Ride safe fellas
Congrats. Just did a deal today for the exact bike for 18.5k otd. 1.5k + 500 mil discount and I had a trade in that took care of the bulk of the taxes. I pick it up Saturday. Doing the YT thing where you watch and rewatch every video on your new bike. Test rode a Streetfighter V4 and RSV4, back-to-back, and it wasn't close for me. Picked the RSV4 because it was just better for me in every area. Price (5k less), engine felt more powerful but smoother (single digit miles so no full beans), more comfortable ride (seat angle is the SF V4's issue I think), better wind protection and it looks better. Checked out an R1 for the same price but it didn't stir the nethers.
Yo man, congrats!!!! That’s awesome. Saturday is going to be epic and I almost can’t wait for you 😂 Yep yep…I did you YT thing too. You’re bike is something special and it’s so good, I wish every motorcyclist could have the experience. Heck of a deal for what you’re getting too. Any mod plans?
Just got the exact same bike/colour a week ago after owning an RS660 for 2 years... great choice ;) I'm in Canada and the snow doesn't melt/get warm until the end of March at the earliest so it's killing me not being able to take it for a spin. My UpMap arrived couple days ago and i'm waiting for the LV Corsa slip-on to arrive but I won't be installing any of it till after the first service. Enjoy this beast and ride safe!
Nice! Wow, March! Our winter here in Texas was one day of “icing” a few weeks ago lol. Yep, my plan is the same as yours after the break to upmap and exhaust. I’m also going to change the coolant as I here this will resolve the “heating issues”. No issues yet though. Any thoughts on the matter?
@@tebuchenself2882 Hah I wish our winters were like that out here! I've heard about that but I don't think I'll change the coolant unless any overheating issues arise. Personally, I should be fine during the break in period as the temperatures out here don't get in the 70's until end of May/early June and by then I'll likely have the gabro map/exhaust installed and from what I've read online, the new map will help the engine run a little cooler and also make the fan kick in 5 degrees (not sure if Celsius or Fahrenheit) earlier than it would typically. I guess time will tell!
@@ivajurj4874 Fantastic! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and plans. This is very good information for me and it is very much appreciated. Happy riding!!!
Yeah, both bikes are gorgeous and for me it’s the overall package that sets this bike ahead of a Ducati. The feeling I get from riding the aprilia is second to none.
Make sure you take off the plastic engine covers. They can mold and corrode the metal. You can buy some aftermarket engine covers. At least on the older models. I’ve just heard rumors about it.
I hear you man. I would have done the same thing when considering making a move on these top tier motorcycles. I had a few bikes in mind and waited for the opportunity to present itself. I would love to have an R1!
Hey man, will you do an update video on the bike? i am really considering buying one for my self in the same paint scheme. Looks like a great pacage for the price to me 👌🏼
Yes, I will. Just between work and riding my other bikes it may be a minute. I plan on a full akra system after break-in. I should reach that here pretty soon
That's a freaking amazing deal! If that was my options I would have surely done that. I was watching these aprilia's and was looking at the 22 last year but was too late on the deal.
I noticed my bike warms up quickly and stay around 205f before I take off. The it hangs around 180-190f when riding easy. I’m a bit concerned about Texas summers. Anything make your run cooler?
@@tebuchenself2882it won’t stay at 205, get stuck at a light or traffic and tell me different, even with fans on it will climb. I was going to try a 3rd fan on a manual switch but too late, got rid of it. It’s a street bike that can’t handle the street unfortunately
I have the same deal going on at the Aprilia dealership near me. BUT, I’m waiting until May (my birthday) to buy my Aprilia. They have a 22 Factory for $20k. I’m thinking about that one.
Would be a grand B-Day!!! The joy from riding this motorcycle is awesome. Riding out there...the sound, the bike, the power, the feel, the experience...it just makes any day great!!!
Hmm...again, I do not know the music. I once took my son to a musical orchestral concert when I attended a junior college. They played Beethoven's 7th symphony 2mvt. with tubas no less and it was Amaizing, I was so enchanted and so was he. This might have contained the perfect 5th but I know not. God Speed.
No problems but I do notice that the bike heats up pretty quickly while in traffic but does cool off when moving. I plan on getting an akra exhaust and tune and have heard that the tune has the bike running cooler. We shall see...
Do some more research before going with upmap. Best option is to find a reputable tuner that has good experience custom tuning these. Then they load one of their already developed custom tune to the ECU and fine tune it for your specific bike, which works out to minimum dyno time. upmap is a bit rubbish in comparison.
Received and thank you. I was also considering sending my ecu off to Moore Mafia to get flashed and sent back. I just have to get over actually sending it and trusting the hands of postal workers 😬
@@tebuchenself2882 As a general rule I'd be apprehensive to use any of the tuners that seem to popular with social media influencers, do a bit of research, maybe poke around aprilia forums or something you'd be better off finding a tuner that has lots of experience with these bikes if you can. I don't know who that is for you (Im not in the US) and yeah a courier service with insurance might be better than post too. love this black with red wheel style, first seen in 2018 or there abouts, one of my favs for sure
Well, if you are thinking about financing the rates suck even for people with great credit. 6-7% in my area. The dealership that I bought mine from was offering 2.99% for 24 months then 6.99% for longer terms. My advice would be to just save up and pay cash.
Lol, no. I got about 120 miles on it so far and following the break in rules. The reliability has come across my mind but it didn’t keep me from buying. I feel like I have a pretty good team at AF1 Racing (official aprilia dealer)where I bought the bike so hopefully no warranty issues come up. If they do, I think I’ll be taken care of. I’ll keep y’all updated as well.
Good eye but these appear to be insulated metal braided brake line. I compared them to my R6 which, are rubber and rubber lines are much thicker. These brake lines on the aprilia are similar to the ones on my 2023 duc pani V4
Yeah, I’m a sucker…oh well it’s sunny and 70 degrees outside with light traffic. Not sure what to do🧐 Guess I’ll sit here and sulk on my bad money decision
