Great video! You are lucky to be in Japan and see them play in person. I am a big fan of the Baystars, especially Maki and Miyazaki, but this past season I became a huge fan of Chusei Mannami, that kid is the real deal!

I have a question that is out of the video (kinda): I've always said I LOVE the way Japanese and Korean players swing the bat, but I've also seen Chinese players having similar swings, is there a story behind this similarity? Where could I read about that or what video talks about those mechanics?

Btw the Chinese players you’re referring to from the CPBL is actually Taiwanese

Because baseball is introduced to Korea and Taiwan by Japanese, not American.

unrelated question to the video but how good is hiroya miyagi and whats ur prediction on whether he will go to the majors and if he would do well? it seems he very undersized at 5'7 seems to be really good despite his young age.

I don’t think you can call Japan - Korea a rivalry. 😂 Japan is just too good. They took out the US at the WBC for the championship and that game against Mexico was an absolute gem! Most exciting game I’ve ever seen. No, Japan is really in a class by itself. 🇯🇵

It’s true Japan is better now but Korea played very competitively for many years and historically it’s always been a rivalry. I actually made a video on the Japan-Korea baseball rivalry last March.

Should talk about how Korean and Taiwanese fans were not allowed to stand to cheer for their squad in the infield bleachers, while the Japanese did their usual gig in the outfield. Was such a logistical mess in the designated "infield cheering seat". They brought out the cheerleaders for them to be sat down? Such disrespectful move by the organizers.

Certainly didn’t help lessen the international Japanese superiority complex. Nor did it lessen the vitriol of Taiwanese and Korean fans. Man, I really hope this stuff will cool off in the future. Rivalries should be fun, not legitimately toxic.
