Great video Spencer. I was out by the water 2 days to catch that high speed pass over the lake. The light was difficult both days but the Blue Angels were utterly fantastic!
Awesome footage... Great to see what I missed ! We went Monday, but Fat Albert was a no show as were many other acts... Blue Angels were fantastic though !
Definitely agree. I saw the USN Blue Angels Fat Albert C130 Hercules team aircraft on Sat Sept 2, 2023 CIAS. However it was a no show on Monday Sept 4, 2023 CIAS. Point of info- When the Blue Angles finished their show on Monday Sept 4, 2023 around 12:45-12:50, Toronto Police Services requested the help of the Canadian Forces CH146 Griphon rescue helicopter to search for a missing boater on Lake Ontario. It delayed the show for almost 20 min. That resulted in the cancellation of the USAF F-16 and they flew the P51 Mustang instead. The situation forced the CIAS organizers to adjust the schedule of performers. A lot of people ( including myself) who were at the show were puzzled to what had happened, but as true airshow fans stuck it out to the end of the show.
@@stephenwhyte2849 Thanks for the info. Hope the boater was found safe. I guess I picked the wrong day to go. Had a wedding to attend on Saturday, recovery day on Sunday. Monday was the only option.
Great work as always Spencer. Looks like you had an excellent seat for the show. A little better vantage point than in Lincoln in my opinion. How were the crowds over the weekend?

@@spencerhughes2255 got it! I considered heading there when we watched on Sunday but, If I’m not mistaken, isn’t Marylin Bell where the paid grandstand seating is? Perhaps you were outside of the seating area. Attending the practice session was brilliant.

Hi Spencer, excellent video of the USN Blue Angels Friday Sept 1, 2023 practice show ( I actually did not know that it occurred). Been watching your airshow video's for years and you never disappoint us. I saw the USN Blue Angles CIAS demonstration on Saturday Sept 2 and Monday Sept 4, 2023. It was an amazing show. By the way l have one question for you. What manufacturer of camcorder do you use to film the air shows. Just wondering. Thank you?
