Man this is beautiful. I think the bmw 3 series is the best sedan out of any brand. At least small sedan. Just checks every box. Also another cool thing I just saw on a 3 series is you can connect you’re Apple Maps to the cars navigation and set it in the gauge cluster and the HUD as well. The other brands as far as I know you have to use the car nav to be able to see it on those areas. Just something more.
The European M340i only has 369hp/374PS. But the torque figure stays the same at 369lbft/500Nm. And the good thing about the M340i in Europe which you don’t get in the states is a station wagon option (the Touring).
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I heard the next M5 will come with a touring option, for the first time since the E61 which was primarily for Europe. And it could come to North America.
Those will be completely different! Haven't been in the X3 comp in a while, but normal driving should feel similar. Performance in the 340 is far better being a sedan vs SUV. If you want to do mountain roads or track, M340. The X3 just gives it great power and good handling for an SUV, but it's not like a performance sedan.
I love that Tanzanite Blue! Also, I was expecting it to sound worse than before, as is the trend with BMWs, but it still sounds pretty great. Still hanging onto the IS350 but this seems like the ideal replacement when the time comes. Still has a six-cylinder, livable enough to daily drive, and has plenty of space inside. Wife has a 330i now but has been thinking about swapping into an X3. So when that happens, maybe this?
Yeah they toned back up the exhaust on these thankfully! This would be a great next step for sure! X3 is great too if you need the space. Both are some of the best options in the industry!
I can’t believe this car looks so better than the G80 M3. This facelift 3series looks so much better than the M3 and that shouldn’t be. It should be the opposite based history and desirability of previous M3s
Have the 2023 m340i in this same color scheme too. Actually now wish I got skyscraper grey with shadowline trim or maybe at least not shadowline trim with the tanzanite blue because I think it makes everything too dark and have no contrast.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed great to hear as the m240i here in AU is quite more affordable and I don’t need a bigger size car… just hope it will be comfortable enough for the passengers. I used to own 2021 330i and naturally comparing to that.
The cockpit and the infotainment system is perfect mcwa...............a 👌👌👌. Okay all Germany 🇩🇪 cars are changing to that gear shift now Volkswagen and Audi now BMW , it is nice though.
It's a beautiful car. The gauge cluster is a deal breaker though. The layout of the speedo and tach is aesthetically unappealing and difficult to read (compared to the tried and true layout of circular tach on the left and speedo on the right). BMW also needs to better integrate the infotainment screen into the dash. The way it's just tacked on with exposed struts looks like something you'd find in a low budget subcompact. It's not luxury. Definitely a step in the wrong direction. Hoping they'll fix it in two or three years.
I would honestly disagree lol, I think the gauge layout is easy to read and the whole dash is nicely designed! Maybe could be a bit lower but I like it way more than the previous design!
Great news is you can just get the prior gen m340 and m240 for way less same exact engine and trans with options for manual with the rwd and most importantly traditional gauge cluster
Someone got the memo to abort the hideous 4 series beaver grill on the 3 series, thank god. Now just produce an M3 Coupe / Convertible - that’s what everyone really wants I’m sure… instead of the snoozeville sedan.
You mean giving it more gas? With a dealer vehicle that is brand new, I’m not going to abuse it. I have my own car to rip on so I’ll respect a dealership vehicle.
im about to take a shower... im going to look at corvette or something today?? speed racer was touched the other day... and youruber full time is nah im a full time youtuber.... so there... so well get out there today witg low funds and range ob my last window... but hopefully these cars if cars arount too far cause ive been borrited for a tad beit too long... there you go they hust lost there kings backpack... nah thats king... there you go... i like them maaammmmm they suck!!
It's difficult to call anyone who likes the POS shift "button" a true BMW loyalist. Just because Porsche started this stupid German fad, BMW should not have followed. Like omitting the exhaust pipes on the 2 Series sedan, this move has all the earmarks of Chinese influence. Whatever happened to "traditional German engineering?" I like you guys, but calling it "sleek" demonstrates how easily you're manipulated and influenced. I have never given Four Bros a "thumbs down" rating. But there's a first time for everything. I am on my third Bimmer, a 2018 X3 M40i, so I feel I have some bona fides to criticize you. You sound like a Camry driver, and your brother's garage pretty much confirms it; notwithstanding buying his fiancee a slammed Audi (the German Honda). You never turn off the auto stop/start, you never run in sport mode, keep your rig in eco 90% of the time, and you never exceed 55 MPH. I'm sorry to hear your orchiectomy was a success.
Not even sure how to respond to this comment….a shifter is an option and in my opinion I like it! I’ve driven several bmws and I like the design. If you don’t that’s fine, I never said you had too. Also buying whatever cars we want is a personal preference. If you don’t like what my brother and his wife bought that they love and enjoy, ok….. Also I drove this bmw in sport mode the entire time, but I’m also not going to abuse a brand new dealer car and I’m not on roads where the speed limit is above 45, so I’m also going to be responsible in following the speed limit, especially in a vehicle I don’t own, have a nice day man.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Thanks for answering my comment. In retrospect, the tone I took was not justified. Especially on a holiday. Sorry. Spending Thanksgiving with ignorant, woke relatives will bring out the worst in anyone. I have been a subscriber since I first discovered your vlog on RU-vid. You're both gear heads which is great. I've owned two 3 Series sedans before my present ride. It just seems BMW is moving away from the principle of "the Ultimate Driving Machine," and ladling on stuff which doesn't improve it.
@@rogerspalding5673 no worries man, what do you own now? And I do agree, on the list of MB, BMW and Audi, I like how simple Audi is, bmw was a nice second but they are almost competing with MB now adding all this “stuff”! I almost had more fun driving an E36 M3 with no tech then some new ones lol, but I love how the new ones drive!! Also thank you for the support! We have some cool videos on the way!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed 2018 X3 M40i. I'll likely hold on to this one for a while as it has the right amount of "stuff" on it without going overboard. Also, if you want, you can turn off all the safety nannies that interfere with your fun. Just didn't have the scratch for the X3M.
