Congratulations on a great tournament. I give you credit for putting yourselves out there for a blind like this. They are very hard and the pallet can change from day to day and I think overall both of you were very consistent with the notes for the bourbons you tasted. Can't wait for next year's Bourbon Madness and I think Kent will be a great addition.

My wife and I are in southeastern illinois and we were hunkered down in our storm shelter watching the live show Friday night. You see even a massive tornado didn't stop us from watching. Lol

The OF 1920 is readily available and not terribly expensive, so glad to see it went through to the finals again. Kudos to JD as well! Now I need to find Old Elk and Fiddler's and check those out. Thanks for a fun tournament and great wrap up video.

This recap is so enjoyable. Congratulations to SLB. I need to agree with a comment on the live stream. You turned me from a bourbon novice to a full blown bourbon knucklehead. The past 6 months I went from 1 bottle to about 18 bottle selection. From 90 proof to 146 proof. Thank you for making me the talk of my drinking group.

Found you guys by accident but have become an addict in watching you guys. I am trying to keep up with all the aromas and types but I think my nose just isn't tuned like yours after having cancer but I enjoy watching and learn and going to my local ABC store in Virginia and trying something new that you guys have tasted or mentioned. Originally from Mooresville, Indiana so love the fact you guys are hometown folk making the videos. Keep up the great work as folks are watching and learning. Could you post or shout out the donations you got from the live stream as that was cool to hear and see those folks donating? Keep doing what your doing!!!

I am looking for old elk in the area and appears to be some around. I will be trying it soon.

This was so much fun. Can't wait for next year! While I really enjoy the fully blind aspect, I think it would be cool to have them see the bracket neext year and have them make guesses, based on their pallettes, as to what they think will advance. Then we can all compare our brackets to theirs and see how well they know their pallettes and what surprises them. Then they can develope a point system to see who gets the most right, and do a prize/penalty. However they do it, really looking forward to it!

As a critique….and Kent mentioned it….I do think there was too much going on on the Live that I think effected the choices of the final 4. Sort of felt like you both put less thought into those choices as opposed to earlier rounds. Not suggesting you picked wrongly, but I feel like it might of went slightly a different way if done outside of the live stream.

Appreciate this recap. For me, live was like being at a party to which I wasn’t expected.

AWESOME Video, just a suggestion when you were going through these "battles". To bring the bottles out to visually see the bottles, then when you picked differently, then each of you could have the bottles in front of each of you. CONGRATS! Love the dynamics between these people - not just Kurt and Trenton but every one of the off-camera crew. Everybody comes across as sincere, honest, and informed. It's those things that keep me coming back video after video. That and the bourbon, natch. I just wish more of the products they review were available here in Canada but that's an entirely different story... I'd love to see a highest proof for the dollar shoot-out from these two because I would absolutely trust what they would discover.

Great follow up video and I don’t think it went too long as I enjoyed the conversation and break down.

Just got back from family reunion in Hot Springs Arkansas (Horse races included) Enjoyed Woodford double oak and Old Forester 1910 (original double oak} Enjoyed both and each was different , and both were winners.... My first taste of either bourbon... But I forgot to look for Old Forester Rye while I was there....

Great recap guys! Kurt, I knew for sure you pick EC BP as your winner! Busted my bracket lol. Trenton, I picked Fiddler as the winner of your bracket, but I fail short in a few of my other choices. Either way, it was a blast filling out the 2 brackets, and following alone! Cheers guys!

You guys still have the GA Heartwood and Redwood backwards on Trent’s tasting notes. The rotten pumpkin was the dark glass (GA) and tortillas was the light glass (Redwood).

Interesting that two barrel picks made it to the end! Goes to show that when you have people who know what they’re doing with the sampling, you can get some really good results with picks. Fun tournament you guys.

I just stumbled across a bottle of Redwood Pipe Dream so I decided to give it a try because of these videos. Gotta say, this is a fantastic bourbon, especially at the price I paid ($24). I may have to go and get another bottle.

Hey! My wife likes you guys as much as I do, how rare for us to agree! Please consider the topic Of “neck pours”, and maybe try two identical bottles (cask strength), and shake one, and invert it and pour the other undisturbed and compare. I think it helps, but I’m probably crazy…. Would love to know your thoughts!

I flipped a coin and at least got a few right on both brackets. There was one poor bastard that didn't make it to the second round. Not one right pick. He deserves some kind of prize because I think it would be just as hard to do that as it would be to get them all right. Statistically speaking that is. 😆🤣

I would love to see a “best of” video for sherry finished bourbon/rye. So many great sherry bomb scotch whiskeys, but finding great sherry finish bourbon/rye is a bit more difficult.

Redwood Empire Lost Monarch Cask Strength is their blend and it is probably the best whiskey I have ever had. I like the regular Lost Monarch more than the Pipe Dream but I may have to try the Cask strength based on this

Really enjoy the tourny. Suggestion; next year put both top two from each bracket and have an Ultimate Grad Champion.

Do a smaller one with rye. Maybe 32 instead of 64.

What's the difference between the basic old elk, and the slb old elk pick? Is it just the proof or is it finished differently?

The two winning bourbons have the same MGP wheated bourbon mashbill.

Thought for next year. After they each pick their favorite, give them a clean bracket and have them fil it out before you tell them what they actually picked. See how close they would get

Great video as always but it’s getting hard to watch with all the ads. I truly understand why they are there but it’s at a point now where it really takes away from the content. There are more ads in your video then any other show I watch on you tube. Congratulations to all the winners! Cheers!

ASW puts out some pretty incredible whiskey. It's not bourbon so it doesn't really fit the bourbon madness (at least their good bottles) but they put out pretty great American malts.

Can you guys add the “chapters” back to your videos. Miss that.
