Tens of thousands of teddy bears are tossed on the ice (21,000 actually) after London Hoilett scores 9 minutes into the 2023 Calgary Hitmen teddy bear toss game vs Prince Alberta Raiders!
Nearly half a million teddy bears and stuffies have been donated over the 28 yrs this game has happened. This year more than 65 community organizations have asked for bears to comfort kids in need. Whether they're going through surgery, a victim of violence, or just struggling to get through the day, these bears bring smiles across Alberta.
The World Record used to be held by the Hitmen, but the Hershey Bears have set a few more in recent years. Their total topped more than 45,000 in 2019!
