New Zealand is fortunate to have these railway clubs that are able to operate in public parks, this concept isn’t allowed in other countries, this creates a vibrant model railway community that becomes part of the community. In North America this would be a considered a liability and requires the same private insurance that theme parks require to operate, which is extremely expensive
Unfortunately it seems to be making a turn here in New Zealand, we are starting to see a lot more strict running rules and operating licences. It's manageable for the time being, but who knows in the future.
@@Gibbzy194 Yes I hope these sites stay public, I would like to do this as a retirement hobby, I'm 52 now so another 10 years I would like to start building a steam engine, if councils started shutting these sites down that would mean people would need to start building backyard lines or on private land like in North America. New Zealand has a great relationship with these sites
Impressive work and well done with the camera angles, cutting and editing! Do you do videography as a job or just a hobby? Looking for any work doing this around Christchurch??
