It's almost 20 years since I last dived at Capernwray (!!!) and I went across to meet up with some Capers regulars and three of the four of whom have been on my Red Sea wreck trips. We had a beautiful day, warm, sunny, barely a cloud in the sky, water temp in the teens and vis around five metres, maybe a bit more. Good but not great, I was told. We made two dives and covered maybe half of what Capernwray has to offer, with a bacon butty and a tea in the cafe whilst cylinders were refilled between dives. Many thanks to Sandy, John, Gibbo and Andy for their welcome and their patience!
