We drove by some of these fields in Bakersfield when I was 14, that is 65 years ago. They were a brilliant solid yellow then. We took a few snap shots with the old type camera where film had to be developed. I ran across the pictures a few years ago. Stunningly beautiful! God’s handiwork still going on!
Orange and violet wild flowers. How beautiful. I used to drive from Bakersfield to Pahrump and only saw this a couple times, but not this beautiful. Praying it’s a good sign for California.
Finally! I've been waiting for someone to post a video after those drenching California rains. Simply beautiful. The frame on the screen, the music choice, drone footage, all delightful. The bee's must be drunk with nectar and pollen as well as the insects. I used to live in Palm Springs in 1985 and we had a 2 day rain event were it actually snowed on the Desert. But then the magic began when the sun came out and started a bloom like I've never seen before. Then after that a mass of caterpillars invaded the town by the MILLIONS! After that there was a short lull then I thought I had died and went to HEAVEN. Butterflies every where as far as the eye can see. I was so sad every morning when I had to scoop up so many out of my pool. It was truly the best life experience I've ever had living in the beautiful Palm Springs. Then I felt a tremor and moved back to NYC.
Just watched another video and it told the sightseers not to walk on the delicate blooms ,that it would kill them and they wouldn't reboot next yr,but you can't teach animals that. Beautiful reawakening of flowers .
The orange California poppies are blooming more each day in patches on my street where people planted low water requirement landscaping and got rid of their lawns. They are doing well in large patches along side the freeways in NorCal today, 4/22. I even have some blooming in an unused planter on my roof deck. I will bet the birds I feed brought them.
Something very evil lifted off California. Now pray for a change of leadership and deliverance from evil in the schools and on the streets. God bless CA!
There’s a lot of BS to debate about California. Politics is just the tip of that iceberg. But what is undebatable is California’s beautiful geography and landscapes.

My family and I went and we had a blast. It was much more nicer than the trip we took to Lake Elsinore, and the people in Bakersfield are warm and kind. Of course the police are strict but even they are more helpful in Bakersfield. We spent the whole day there and I didn’t even want to go, but if you do I recommend Bakersfield over Elsinore
