I'm so excited to see the culture of the sport changing in a positive way! I also love that Simone is so open about going to therapy. I go to therapy too and it makes me happy to know that she does.
36:51 Seeing her with such a big smile on her face, even after the mistake on her beam dismount, is so heartwarming! She's always been an incredible gymnast, but she often seemed frustrated and anxious at competitions. I think NCAA has been very good for her. I do hope she's taking care of herself, because juggling school, training, and a business sounds incredibly intense!!!
From a girl from another country, USA, we all know your gymnasts, even if no one tell us that they are from America. The level of your gymnasts is from another world. As a fan of Gymnastics, it's a pleasure to see your competitions. Amazing, for real!
Many of them aren't elegant, though. They are all short and chubby looking. They don't have necks anymore and everything is just about power and tumbling and vaulting higher and higher. Watching old international gymnastics competitions the gymnasts looked way leaner and their performances used to be much more elegant.
@@Kloetenhenneur a disgusting human being. u don’t deserve to make comments like this about anyone ur a sick twisted person who likes when gymnasts were forced to keep little girl bodies until they were too injured to compete u freak.
@@Kloetenhenne I totally respect your right to voice your opinion regarding the kind of gymnasts you prefer. It's not my disagreement with you that makes it impossible for me to even respect you as a human being, but how you made a point out of body-shaming your non preferred type as you made your statement. That kind of behavior is nothing but despickable
@@Kloetenhenne Well good thing this is an elite gymnastics competition and not a modeling contest. Power makes it possible to do more difficult skills. Difficult skills are scored higher. If you have a problem with that, take it up with the experts that draw up metrics for success in the sport instead of gymnasts who are breaking records and inspiring people around the world while you sit there and body shame behind your keyboard.
When I saw Simone was coming back, I bought my ticket to Worlds not knowing what shape she was in. Now I'm really excited. Simone is out of this world.
Glad she wants to keep competing and feels mentally prepared to do it after the twisties affected her and kept her from competing on her usual range of apparatus es and she bravely went public about the issue ( My knowledge of gymnastics is limited to what I’ve learned from watching competitions) certainly no expert
I got to be there front row by floor, and it was such an amazing night!! So many incredible routines and the whole place was so energetic and fun! I loved it so much. Of course Simone was insane, but overall i was so impressed by the improvement in our artistry! We totally stepped up our game and i am so proud!
Kidney disease is nothing to play with. You can tell looking at Suni’s face heavily coated with makeup and false eyelashes that her face is very swollen. My children are old enough to be her mother and there is no way in hell either myself or my daughters would allow our daughter who has adapted to college gymnastics which is a huge difference to do this sport with two types of kidney disease. My sister has kidney disease and it’s no joke. She’s a very sick girl.
Aside from a few small bobbles (which are to be expected at the first meet of the year - especially after taking two years off), Simone reminded everyone that if she's even close to being "on", there is no one that can touch her. These were not even her most difficult programs (especially FX) but she was calm and poised and seemed to be enjoying herself. She's up to 10 years older than her competitors and they couldn't come close to what she was capable of. If she decides to make it to another Olympics, I think that we are going to see some absolutely stellar gymnastics.
I was introduced to gymnastics through Simone. I have become a fan of many more gymnasts since then. I am so happy for her to get back to what she loves. I will be happy if she wins, but it is a pleasure just to see her compete. Also , a shout out to Sunisa Lee. It is tough to get through a day when your health is not with you, and for her to compete at a level she is ! Hats off. And kudos to all the other athletes ! It is so amazing to see such discipline and skill in girls so young.
It's so cool to look into the faces of the other gymnasts and see how much they look up to Simone, she's inspiring, best ever, you can't be any different
@@SonOfAGun1814 Thank you so much for posting about the .5 deduction for a spot. I was wondering how the heck they got a .6 penalty?! That makes sense👍
So damn excited to see these "old ladies" I want the average age of women gymnasts to increase so badly. We have to stop destroying childrens bodies for the rest of their life. Plus I doubt nassar would have gotten away for so long if he wasnt dealing with sheltered children far from their families
What's good is that athletes can see that if they don't make a World or Olympic team at the age of 16 that their competitive career isn't over. We're seeing so many coming back after taking breaks and out performing their younger competitors. There is something to be said about the maturity that these "ancient" ladies like Simone and Suni bring to the sport.
@@auspicious93 And it's only been in the last couple of quads where a 20 year old wasn't considered "over the hill". I hope that Suni's health improves and that she's really able to compete the way we know that she can because with her and Simone on any team, the US is going to be all but unbeatable.
I am emotional as well. After everything that has happened in this sport in the USA, but in other countries as well, this is the most happy and healthy I have seen a US field as a whole. I hope this trend of positive growth continues. These ladies all seem so much more relaxed, confident, and just able to enjoy the sport they fell in love with.
Thanks for the Upload, I'm glad to be able to watch from outside the US. I absolutely loved Simones performance, but I would appreciate if more routines were showed, not only those of the (assumed) top competitors
Você nota a dúvida nela mesmo assim ainda vê os movimentos mais difíceis da ginástica sendo realizados, parabéns Simone, você é uma guerreira, uma verdadeira campeã #weloveyouSimone
Seeing Simone grin after making the error on the bars--so happy to see that instead of her beating herself up like she used to...congrats to all the girls for a great meet, and although I am sitting in my apt watching this, I feel such good energy and camaraderie here! Beautiful job, gals!!
I can’t wait to see team USA 🇺🇸 at the gymnastics 🤸♀️ and swimming 🏊♀️ and synchronized swimming 🏊♀️ at the 2024 summer Olympics Games in Paris France 🇫🇷
If these ladies were smart I wouldn’t even think about Simone competing. Just focus on yourself unless she inspires you of course. Because that lady is like the Beyoncé of her craft you just have to give her all the flowers. Just an amazing talent and she owns it!
It makes me happy to see that these women are successful and bringing the sport back to a sport women not girls are suceessful and can have career. Responsible training and competing is the way, not abuse and rushed skill gaining.
I wish NBC would stop just showing us athletes standing around after a routine. WE CAN HEAR THE CROWD CHEERING FOR SOMEONE, SHOW US THAT ROUTINE!!! Seriously, NBC’s coverage of gymnastics drinking game: 1. Chug a beer the whole time they’re just showing someone standing around. 2. Do a shot every time a gymnast does a wolf turn. 3…. Next person come up with something (just these two rules will get you wasted).
AMEN! Can you imagine baseball getting that kind of coverage? Instead of showing the guy at bat, they just keep the camera in the dugout or on the guy on deck. Same thing! We don’t want to see girls pacing, drinking water, stretching, rolling their shoulders, getting chalk, sitting down, putting on their pants, yawning, waiting for scores, etc. We want to see those routines we can hear. We are gymnastics fans, not just one gymnast fans. It’s maddening! Simone’s red-haired teammate was only shown when she was standing next to her, and AFTER she vaulted getting a hug from Simone, NOT her actual vault. So sad for all the girls we didn’t see because we watched gymnasts just walking around or repeated slow-motion replays of routines we just saw, or clips from several years ago.
Got goosebumps at the very beginning of the video when they showed Simone, Suni, Jade and Jordan. Little did they know those 4 would make up the Golden Girls in Paris to win gold!!!
Just when they think Biles is out of the running for a podium in Paris, she goes out there and proves them all WRONG! You will break records and become LEGEND!🎉❤
Just seeing Simone HAPPY made my heart melt❣️ Such a difference in her spirit since the last Olympic quad (or quint due to Covid). I am glad she is putting her mental health first. Her gymnastics seemed so light and free, as opposed to the weight of the world on her shoulders leading up to Tokyo. When Suni finished her beam routine, I cried. Talk about grit! I can’t begin to imagine what she’s going through. 🙏🙏🙏 Bravo to all of the ladies!! ✨✨✨
FanFreakingTastic!!!! Sooo happy to see Simone Biles back out there happy and healthy doing what she loves. Congratulations to everyone they all look really awesome it's gonna be a difficult decision on who goes to the Olympics
Congrats to the ladies but oh boy Simone is just incandescent. Wow I guess all those haters at FOX news, bigots and racists who attacked Simone's mental injury she suffered at the 2020 Olympics will be so ashamed now seeing her blast through all her routines after bashing her when she suffered a mental injury at the Olympics. She just shut everyone up. Like never mention ill of my name, and hide your face shut up. She literally obliterated the highest scores at last year's world's championships and she's not even peaked. Just wow! Simone is the Champion amongst champions end of. Keep on shining!
What is a little sad is all the winner who won stuff during the years simone wasn’t competing like 2017 worlds and 2021 worlds and 2022 worlds…it’s like the are just place holders for her return…She is so technically perfect, any skill looks and feels easy for her…I also love how candid she is in interviews! She could be the first American to go to three Olympics since Awesome Dawesome! 💜
Based on the gymnasts that competed here, my team to Paris Olympics would be: 1.Biles - awesome on everything 2.Sunisa Lee - awesome bars and beam 3.Leanne Wong - beautiful artistry and will score higher internationally 4.Skylar Blakely - excellent on bars and beam 5.Jocelyn Robinson - high scores on beam, bars, floor and USA gymnastics future I would not take Jordan Chiles due to scoring lower internationally. International judges don't like her lines. She would go under non-traveling alternate.
