This is great. Just what I needed to desensitize my dog. Eveytime he hears a doorbell on TV he reacts and runs to the front door. This is a great help.
Thank you for this, I just rescued a very sweet mini pittie and she's super reactive to door knocks and dog barks. I started feeding her while this would play (spill kibble on the ground every time the sound would go off) and after the third time shes barely reacting to the door or the neighborhood dogs!
This is wonderful thank you! How often am I meant to do this - I had it on full sound on my computer while giving treats and my dog noticed the sounds but didn't react/bark/run away from me at any point. Should I keep doing it?
You’re welcome. 😊 Some dogs desensitize faster than others. Best way to check is if he doesn’t react to the sounds in real-life scenario. Ex. Doorbell? After a while, our dog doesn’t react to the sounds I play, but when i stop playing for a week then test him again, some sounds still bother him. Good luck!
Wow! I also uploaded other videos which maybe helpful. Some requested for vehicle sounds etc. I also tried to include intervals to give dogs ample time to return to their place/bed after a trigger. Right now, our pitmix is reactive with sparks, igniter sounds. Will include those in my next compilation. 😅
This is amazing. Before I thought of looking for this I would go and ring our actual doorbell and then have to come upstairs to curb the behavior. Now I don't even have to get up 😂 👏 bonus is the dog barking.
@@Sidodg for young puppies without heightened reactivity , some just play it for desensitization. But others use it for counterconditioning and give treats everytime a common trigger is ignored.
Started working on this the first day my new picture came home. I pick random videos from the list and play them on rotation. Never playing them in order. So she is getting random exposure to sounds.

hello dog parents, if you need to desensitize your dog/puppy to city sounds (trucks, sirens etc.)... here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MCo9q61INsU.html
hello. desensitization is a technique used to help dogs get used to common triggers. if they are already showing signs of fear and anxiety to these triggers, counterconditioning may also help. intensity and frequency are also be considered. hope this helps. :D
