RECIPIENTS: Mali and Alan Bacon founded GANGGANG three years ago and activate the creative economy to center beauty, equity, and culture in cities. In Indianapolis. In Downtown. They believe that culture brings humanity together and that art challenges mindsets. They do this via programming, advocacy, and production. Nothing more embodies these ideals than Butter - a fine art fair that just concluded its 3rd year over Labor Day weekend that exhibits the work of visual artists from around the world, elevating the narrative and context for which works by Black artists are shown. And 100% of the proceeds are returned to the artists. All of us have been touched in some way by Mali and Alan and the team at GANGGANG.
