I totally agree about elf lash n roll being more similar to tower 28 - but I think the elf actually builds better without getting that sort of chunky look on the lashes. Not sure if your tower 28 mascara does this but it seems drier and when I build it doesn’t clump my lashes together, but the lashes don’t look super smooth. I think the lashes look smoother with both elf and maybelline lash sensational.

I really love your assessment of these products and dupes are some of my favorites since I refuse to pay high end prices for anything. Yes, bring your mom! By the way, I didn't realize you are in Georgia. I'm in far north central GA in the mountains close to the NC line. I'm a very "well seasoned" woman of 66 and had to relearn how to apply makeup for my wig review and homesteading channels a few years ago; well, I say "relearn", but I never really learned when I wore it over 20 years ago before we moved to the mountains. RU-vid was not really a thing at that time, but now, there isn't anything you can't learn on YT. I appreciate when you tell us when something is or is not great for mature skin. I have normal to slightly oily skin, but the texture is definitely more at my age because I refuse to have cosmetic procedures. I rely on religious skincare. Thanks so much, Taylor! If you use the Essence pure nude with a big fluffy brush it's more like the Hourglass! Much better for finishing!

Yesss! I use the Essence pure nude highlighter all over my face as a finishing powder. I think it softens my face so well, and gives me an all over very light glow. I think the glow is perfect with that powder. I’ve always wondered if it’s a dupe for the Hourglass

Everyone raves about the CT contour wand, but I don’t like it. The lightest shade is too dark. The price is ridiculous, and I hate the packaging. I also have the pinkgasm wand, and everyone loves that, but I hate it. It’s super thick and way to shimmery. It also doesn’t blend very well on me. The contour wand blends so well, but the blush wand doesn’t. Because of that, I am afraid to buy the new matte blush wands. I would love if you had your mom on your channel!

I don’t really care about brands coming for the more expensive ones. Honestly, I’m more likely to go for the high end version anyway and I think that’s the case for most people. Either you’re a drugstore buyer or a high end so it doesn’t hurt anyone

I was high end almost exclusively for about 19 yrs, until my friend turned me on to a dupe by not telling me it was a dupe when she gave me some to try (the CT/elf dupe) and that's been thst ever since. I still hsve some holy grails I buy, but it has saved me so much money and that extra goes to some better skincare now thst I'm 34. Actually saved enough in 1 yr to completely pay for 2 sessions of botox.

Not for me, slightly out of my price point but even if it wasn't, for me at least it's a waste of money. I'm quite happy with a $ 18.00 foundation like Loreal (which works great ) or like a Revlon blush or Milani lipstick ( there are some very high quality products at the drugstore ) - I'd rather spend a bit more on skincare or let some money stay in the bank - but if some people get lots of joy from the high end stuff all the power to them...

I’m in my 60 . I’ve applied my blush the same as you for years and years. The trend of putting powder before foundation is such old trick. My mom taught me to do that when I first started wearing makeup back when dinosaurs roamed😊 I love your Chanel !
