if you launch the modded version and it does not start up with mods, you have to install the Thunderstore through the overwolf itself, not just the link to the browser, that helped me and now its working with mods.
Hey, so every time I try to use it, it says Error Failed to start modded The system cannot find the file specified Anyone know what's going on? I selected the files as he described.
TY I changed my leathal company onto a flash drive and could no longer load the game modded cuz the directory changed. I watched like 7 videos before this and non said how to fix ty for showing people how to do that
when launching it the game refuses to launch the modded varient and even after deleting both the game and the instller aswell as verifying the files it still refuses to launch any mods and continues to exclusively launch in vanilla
Did you mod the game manually before? Or have you only tried using thunderstore mod manager? If you modded the game manually before, go to your lethal company directory and delete the bepinex folder. If you delete the game through the steam app or verify files, sometimes it won't delete extra stuff you put in the file even when you reinstall it. At least this was a problem I ran into when It didn't let me launch modded, if you already tried that or it didn't work, I'm really not sure what would be causing that unfortunately, . Probably need to check reddit or see if someone has addressed this on forums somewhere,
Make sure it opens a command line as well as when you click modded. That means that bepin ex is at least being recognized. As far as it saying "modded" on the bottom left, not all mods will say that I've found out. The most important part is the command line opening at the beginning of launching
i click on play moded it loads the game apperas the v40 on the corner but the mods dont work and it doesent apear that window when i launch the moded version
Try verifying your game files on steam or check the lethal company folder and delete the bepinex folder if it's in there. Since you are using thinderstore, you don't need the bepin ex files in the game folder anymore

I keep trying to use the 'HDlethalcompany mod' but it says ShaderProgram is unsupported, but because jobified rendering is enabled the ShaderProgram can not be removed. what do i do?

when i do modded,it does the code thing but there is red text in it,then the game loads it dosen give me the mods because i dont see the mod text,plus i deleted the bepix folder and still dosen load the mods,what should i do?
okay after searching i think you have to go to 1 : edit config / 2 : BepInEx/config/LC_API.cfg / 3 : Edit Config / 4 : Force modded server browser TRUE. I don't test it but apperantly it works. Then if it not try to tell to your friends to install all the mods and retry. I hope it'll help you
Sorry for that, does it say you are modded? Also make sure you type the / when you type the command, also make sure you are host of the server. Example /spawn gaint 3 (this will spawn 3 giants outside). It's important that your ship is landed as well

Just make sure your game is updated on steam, most of the popular mods should be compatible with the most updated one (not sure exactly what version its on rn) did this error come up on the command line? Or on something else like in the game or the thunderstore app itself
It's probably best for them to at least have bepinex installed for you all to play together online. If you have mods that modify the actual lobby, they will have to have those mods as well, but if you only had mods that pertain to just you ex, (hud mods or pov mods) you should be fine to join people when they are not modded(or vice versa). Haven't tried this myself , I only searched this on steam forums and found this. Hope it helps
Thank you bro, For mods like game master, only the host needs it. I haven't confirmed myself but it says it on the website. If you check the website of whatever mod you are looking at, if it says anything like "server sync" that means that your mod will sync to other players if you host. Long story short, it's safe to have everyone on the same mods especially the Bepinex mod. But you can have game master mod separate from your friends
I just had a look on the command prompt that shows up and it said something like "hookapp BepInExpack may not work and may need to update" but I have the latest version of it
