@@charlesg7926 the 10 inch screen is not standard. There is a smaller 8 inch display standard on all trims. You should be fine! I prefer the standard layout vs the optional screen.
Just bought the ST. Exterior looks amazing and even has lights that glow that say ST . The dealership didn’t have a platinum but we tried the limited and did not like 2.3l even though it was limited it felt like a rental. Have had a lot of good comments so far in the ST
You have to drive both to understand. 2.3 has enough power 3.0 liter just feels different and definitely more fun to drive in sport mode. It feels like a different car in sport mode. No issues so far in 6 months except for the headlights. They had to replace the headlight but other than very happy so far.
Still the same I have had it for 8 months now. I love sport mode and overall a great SUV. I had to rent the 4 cylinder for work and it just feels like a totally different SUV. ST all the way glad I test drove both
I bought the 2022 King Ranch Edition Ford Explorer I must say I love it I never thought that they would have made a King Ranch Edition in the explorer...it's very beautiful vehicle very sleek and the luxury that it comes with is bananas

I just picked up my 6th Expedition. I got a Platinum 2023. I am very pleased with the vehicle overall. I am extremely disappointed in Ford's new version of red mist. It is closer to black than red. Very dark burgundy maroon. I was prepared to refuse the vehicle until I found out they don't have a metallic red paint in 2023. The brown or carmello interior is extremely nice!
In my family there’s a total of 6 ford explorers lol all different models from Sport, st, Xlt, limited. So I wanted to be different and get a timberline since I love the aggressive styling and big tires.
I love my Explorer Platinum. The pick up is phenominal. As with all of Ford and Linclon, I just wish the driver seat went further back. I dont know how Ford and Lincoln continue to design cars with this major fault. Im only 6ft, but hate driving wiht my hip partially flexed.
It’s not “all” Ford and Lincoln’s. Try an F150 or Navigator. You can put the seat so far back you can’t reach the pedals…even if you’re 6’5”. Also, have you tried adjusting the pedals away from you?
Good review. Tablet looks out of position?? Too large. Heard that Ford has had on going Quality issues with Explorer @ a few other model's. Not sure what the items are???
Hi, I just saw a Platinum Ford Explorer that was manufactured in December 2022. The tablet is mounted lengthwise and looks much better than the tablet in this Explorer. Perhaps Ford heard your comments.
@@vanananag7736 there are 2 available screens. My parents have a '22 Platinum with the standard screen, which is smaller and horizontal. The vertical screen looks goofy and is part of an optional package with the massage seats and upgraded sound system I think.
I like the look of this trim level SUV. Yes I like black and chrome. The two tone leather seats are a nice look. I would like to see Ford packaging engineers do a better job of integrating, what looks like an iPad, into an otherwise great looking dash. The other question I have is, does its engine operate on regular gasoline?
i have a 2022 platinum and i works fine with 87 octane. for use of all 400 hp use premium. as far as the backup camera how long are you driving in reverse ? it’s perfectly functional. no big deal.
I used to be a supervisor in Hertz car rental and driven every SUV. This SUV hasn't had much of a change. It feels like I am looking at the 2019 Ford Explorer nothing new . Sorry I pass.
I own a 2023 Ford Explorer King Ranch.... I like the interior better than this Platinum Edition however both ar beautiful examples of Ford Styling and Engineering... One question...Can you speak a bit faster please .....LOL

After coming from an X5M to a ford pickup 22 tremor I would have never considered a ford for an SUV. But given the tremor has as much technology as my bmw did I’m going to have to look at Ford before moving on to any other brand. I’m not excited about Ford copying Land Rover by putting letters on the hood. But I think at the time they owned Land Rover. I think that buy was to pilfer ideas from them. Ford has 35000 engineers but they had to buy other companies to steal ideas
The only thing that keeps me from buying one, it’s the 10 speed transmission. Ford has had problems and from what I discovered; they haven’t been convinced to do a recall. I could be mistaken. Thought about the Pathfinder. The ZF has been problematic. Man, guess I’ll go Toyota.

@@Dotngg6050 I believe the 16 platinum was 365 hp as well just tuned different. I wish ford would give us an st with the coyote 5.0 of even better the predator from the gt500.
80k for a Ford Explorer? At this point a BMW X5 would be a better option. Also a Volvo XC90 comes fully loaded with 455hp and gets 40miles of all electric driving and 63mpge. Ford’s are so generic and can’t seem to crack the gas mileage challenge.
