Nice review for sure. A much more 'practical' type of review vs the foo-foo nonsense of so many of them out there. Now that they dropped the prices back down I might consider an XLT. Dunno. Still tracking well over $60k for standard range with just the 5k extra package which to me isstill just too much.

After 2 years waiting for this truck, my lariat came in today. After seeing it in person, I decided I’m not going to get it. I have a Mach E gt I got 6 months ago that has better range and MUCH better interior. I just can’t justify paying that much for that quality interior and little range. No thanks

The words "$70K price" and "cloth manual seats" do not belong in the same sentence. And the giant slab of cheap black plastic on the grill looks...well, it looks awful. And it's on every single trim level. And what moron came up with that shifter? That might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen in an EV. It's awful in an ICE truck to begin with, but I mean, seriously, there's no actual transmission in this EV truck!! It's just an electronic button that someone strapped a 6-inch 1980s shifter to. Smh. I really like the idea of this truck, and the performance is actually okay. I've never been a fan of the way F-150s look, but they've always been good trucks and I could get past the looks because of what it is. But there's so much cheap BS and bad corporate decision making going on I think it would piss me off to drive it every time I got in the thing. $70K for a bargain basement interior, laggy and underwhelming infotainment system, and a smaller battery pack limiting range to local use only just doesn't make sense to me. Definitely not worth the money. Then again, Ford got out there ahead of Tesla, GM, Ram, and everybody else, so I have to respect their ability to bring this EV truck to market the way they did. And people seem to be buying them as fast as they can make them, so I'm probably in the minority with my criticisms. Who knows, maybe they'll improve some of the stuff that annoys me down the road.
