I really enjoyed the review Ben always does a great job!! As far as the comment about the Dodge Ram he simply told the Truth!! To be honest the only thing Ram has going for it is the Cummins engine which is a good engine , however the truck is a total joke and everyone knows it!
FYI, Rams are not Italian, they're Ameican. Secondly you called it overpriced which is totally false cause what do you expect, these are brand new big powerful luxury high end trucks...yet you even called it junk.. what a great way to lie about Ram... Just own that Ford Platnuim if you dont like how great Ram is.
Not sure why the shot to Ram in the headline. Guess it’s more like clickbait. 77k and it doesn’t have a bed liner? Anywho I like my Ram limited night edition. It came with everything it was supposed to and was less than this truck which being a platinum isn’t even the highest trim level. So who’s overpriced?!
When pricing new trucks lately, Rams tend to be more affordable when compared to F150, Sierra, and Silverados. However, the others tend to have more standard technology when compared to Ram.
@@daniel0atk I haven’t compared them all base trim wise so I’ll take your word. Higher trim levels Ram certainly isn’t overpriced junk. Not to mention they’ve done better at not having to delete options because of availability versus GM and Ford.
@@djchaisson anyone who thinks the reliability is better on one vs the other needs a reality check. It’s the sad state of the automotive industry as a whole and not manufacturer specific but brand loyal people don’t usually care.
Also worth noting.....A beard doesn't make you a man. I like Ford, but for the price of any new truck, if it doesn't make you money, it's not an investment. An old used truck is just fine for most "men".
If you're going to do clickbait... at least get your facts straight. -_- Ram is owned by Stellantis, which is headquartered in the Netherlands. So, the Ram is a DUTCH piece of junk. ;)
I’ve got a 2021 Platinum Powerboost that has all of the options this truck was missing. It’s a great ride and I especially appreciate that I paid way less than the sticker of this truck. At a constant 55 MPH, I’ve seen an indicated 27.5 MPG which is quite impressive for a full size truck.
My 2022 Lariat has far more options than this Platinum. Great review. Would agree that Ford should wait on sending them out until they have all the options than make a Platinum a Platinum.
I will buy a Ram1500 limited before buying a F150 platinum without heated wheels & massage seat ! People are nuts … they all be sorry a year or 2 from now when all these chips will be available Why Ford has more of a chip problem than any other truck?? Poor planning should be 1st reason!!
I can understand that but it makes some of what you say unintelligible causing constant rewinds. I do appreciate your work however, but if someone that spent decades in broadcasting the constant reminder from above to slow down get you a bigger audience. Just a little advice, with respect.
I Loved The King Ranch Better.The Ford F-150 3.5L Ecoboost V6 With A 10 Speed & A 3.55 Axle Ratio Which Is A Max Trailering Package Matches The 6.2L Big Boy V8 With A 10 Speed & A 3.42 Axle Ratio Which Is A Max Trailering Package I Loved.That Ford Is Like A 5.6 Seconds Truck.
$80k for a V6 truck with fake noise. I'll never understand it. The "best selling truck" for 127 years badge :) . Combine Chevy and GMC sales and well... anyways. I could understand if it was more reliable than the other competition but it just isn't. Hope it changes.
Calls other trucks junk as he's driving the most recalled vehicle in history with the worst build quality out of all truck manufacturers. It's only $77k because Ford can't build a real platinum that doesn't mean they are better 😂
Lol! Love the headline… it is a trigger for aggression and we get to find out the easily offended. Just remember, your life’s identity shouldn’t be tied to truck or brand….. life is about family, friends and learning to be happy regardless of your life’s circumstances.
Let’s redefine your clickbait title sir Ben. Recalls manufactures, Ford- 7.1 million recalls. Highest of the big three GM and Silverado next highest Ram, lower than both by several million less recalls Toyota less at 1.2 Mil I will take the Fiat junk as you state any day. 😅
Hahahaha. We all know Ford is the real junk. RAM much better truck and in ALL car review platforms always comes out better than the F150. Car and driver, U.S. news, motortrend, J.D. awards, you name it RAM comes out on top. So you keep your casual opinion. I’ll stick to facts. RAM > F-150. Easily not even close.
Ford still not giving the platinum the digital temp on knobs on the platinum. You get them on the tremor. They were standard on the 2021 and some of the 2022. Kind of a rip off considering the price Yes.. FORD should not deliver these hobbled trucks. I won’t buy a ford until I can get one at a good price and complete with the nice options of 2021
77k loaded platinum and no heated steering wheel or massaging seats, insanity. Fwiw my low trim RAV4 prime w cloth interior has a heated steering wheel std in the weather package.
Purchased a Ram 1500 brand new back in 2015, put 138K on the 5.7 - truck was only in the shop twice for fuel sensors. Traded the Ram for a 2021 STX with the 5.0 last year. Both Ford and Ram are reliable trucks. Looking to see what Ram has in store for the 2024 1500.
But Fords have more technology and higher quality and I believe are more reliable plus most truck used in the truck industry I barely see chevys gmc or ram all ford it says something
@@issavibez394idk about more reliable, they’re all about the same these days. Less technology is actually plus if you’re looking to keep it going for a long time.
Like I said in another post I think the tremor is the best of the 150 lineup not including the Raptor which is really a different truck. It looks better and it has more capability while still being able to tow
The title doesn’t make sense, Fiat doesn’t own Chrysler anymore. Last I check my Ram door sticker said assembled in Warren Michigan, and they’re affordable compared to other brands 🤨
@@dave3682still prefer Fiat Chrysler over Stellantis killing off the Hemi line for the I6 turbo, the ecodiesel (even with its issues) and forcing EV bs.
I went with a 22 Tremor 402a with a negotiated discount over a 23 platinum at invoice. I have Blue Cruise, Heated Steering wheel and I feel I’m only missing the nicer interior trim. Losing the multi-contour seats and having to pay to delete the chrome on a Platinum helped make the decision easier.
The tremors are the best in the lineup not considering the Raptors which aren’t really good for utilitarian work. Especially the 402. It’s just as good as the platinum without the gaudy chrome. In fact I like the body colored body instead of chrome
Glad I get my information from real research, mechanics and taking to people who have owed different brands for years. Nobody can deny RAM made everyone upgrade their trucks with their 5th Gen. I drove Nissan for 25 years before switching. Had one Ford and transmission failed at 36;000 miles. After that customer service experience I will not own another!
I’ve got three ford dealers around me. One is award winning, the second is average and the third I wouldn’t take my yugo to. You shouldn’t let a dealership decide how you buy your vehicle. I buy 911s. I’ll go to a dealer in California rather than use my local dealership, because the local guy just sells Macans and Cayennes than 911s. A sample size of one is no way to make a decision
@@jimsteinway695 if you are talking about my Ford experience it was escalated all the way to corporate. They did not care! The truck had 36,036 when it went out. Had a 36,000 mile warranty. I asked them to at least discount something because a transmission shouldn’t fail after 36,000 miles. When they just kept saying it was out of warranty, I said all your doing I’d guaranteeing I’ll never buy another Ford and they said that’s your choice and guess what, I keep my word. That was 2003 and haven’t bought a Ford since. Bought 8 vehicles between my wife and I since then and not one Ford!
What's Higher the Limited or Platinum not like it really Matters just like the Denali Ultimate, AT4X, And RAM Limited you need to make a Mint to afford them. I saw the Pricing on GM's site. Pfft
Maybe somebody can help me with this as I cannot get a straight answer from ANY Ford salesperson. Okay, here it goes: The 701A Equipment group (assuming that's the same as the 701A High?- no one seems to know lol). What I have found is that SOME window stickers for the 2021 and 2022 F150 Platinums show the 701A Equipment Group as an optional feature but do NOT itemize the list of options that come with it....just basically says 701A Equipment Group with no price and no itemized options. Others, list 701A AND itemize all the options that come with it (B&O unleashed 18 spkr, 360 degree cam. etc etc, for either $2850 for the 2021 or $3650 for the 2022). My question: Does EVERY 701A Equipment Group come with the same features? My biggest concern is the B&O Unleashed 18 spkr audio system. Am i to assume if it shows 701A as an optional feature then it DOES include the B&O Unleashed? If so, why doesn't it say that? Why doesnt the price of this optional feature add to the base price of the truck? It's funny, i've literally talked to a dozen dealers and 50% of them say one thing and 50% say the other. Any help would be awesome! normally this wouldnt be a big deal, but the sound quality between the two is laughable. The unleashed in great- that's what I want...
As far as i know all 701A's come with B&O unleashed. I'm looking for a fully loaded used 21 Platinum since they are available with more features before the chip shortages. I always do a lot of research such as downloading full product brochures and going through the order banks. Hope this helps.
Hey thanks that does help. I believe I’m going to go with the 2022 Lariat hybrid with B&O unleashed sport package appearance. Has the pano moon roof etc. basically a platinum without the massage seats.

Looks nice, but I have noticed something that would bother me. While driving with the window down, resting your arm on the window looks impossible because of that downslope. Also, the horn should be leather w/ stiching.
The downslope adds a ton of visibility to the side of the truck down low which is really noticeable when turning corners. My neighbor has one and I drive it to put the boat in. It’s much better than my Dodge 1500. That’s way more important than laying your elbow out the window
@@jimsteinway695 Understand, but disagree. The comfort of my driving is most important. I think they should have made it a straight edge to match the lowest point, this gives the visibility and allows comfort.
Do you notice a big difference between the 2021, 2022 and 2023's Ben? (other then no multi contour seats or heated steering wheel or windows- which is CRAZY to me!). Do you agree you are probably better off getting a 2022 OR waiting for 2024 or beyond
I’ve had a 21 and a 22. It seems like they are actually cutting costs the newer the truck is. The 22 is missing led lights and some interior lighting the 21 had . Who knows what they’re doing in 24. They’re shipping 23s without side badging
