2023 FORD MAVERICK BLACK APPEARANCE PACKAGE 

Yup got tired of waiting on my XLT and my 45 day email notifications that tell me nothing. Bought a 2019 Ford Ranger xlt with 18000 miles and mucho happy to have a real truck with locking differental and much more capable including Seven thousand Tow package for the same price as my Maverick was going to cost me. And the best part about it is that my wife and I are able to travel and do stuff in the truck right now and not some time in 2024 when eventually the Maverick would come in

@@mro1311 for people in need for a truck/car asap it makes sense to decide to get something else but I do not agree that the ranger and the maverick serve the same people. You may not have been happy with the maverick as you are now with the ranger.

@Devious I actually think we would have been very happy with the Maverick for my wife and me as it's a huge bang for the buck but unfortunately having no idea when and if it would ever be built and if I would have to wait till 2024 was just getting frustrating. Also not knowing if Ford was going to take an option or 2 off based on their need to be able to build the truck had me a little concerned that I might not end up with what I ordered. In the end someone in my Hometown will be more than happy to pay my dealer $5000 over invoice for my truck. ☹️

My lariat lux hybrid BAP in cactus grey was built 12/19. Looks like ford was getting the BAPs out first! CONGRATS!!!

@@337hall4 Don't lose hope... This is my second time through. If you have not joined the Maverick Truck Club forum yet, sign up and read through some of the informative ordering posts. You can also review some of Tim's video as well. They are very informative (and that's why I am a member of his channel). This is my second time through the process for the Maverick (and 3rd time with Ford in the last year). I received a 2022 XL Hybrid on 08/13/2022 that I ordered on 09/11/21. Our 2022 PHEV Escape ordered on 12/24/21 was delivered on 04/13/22. The 2023 XLT EB AWD was ordered on 09/19/22 and should arrive at my Orange County CA dealer sometime in January. Are you a 2022 hybrid rollover? If so, then you should be getting close to a scheduled date. If you are a new 2023 hybrid order, it will depend upon several factors such as region allocations, dealer allocations, configuration including the number of constrained items, etc. If you need assistance, post questions on the Maverick Truck forum. You can tag me @PRSNCAT and I will do my best to help.

Original order was early Jan ‘22. I had to reorder (transition) in sept- and I added BAP. So it will be over a year when I get it.

@@joeneonturbo Absolutely my pleasure! I feel beyond fortunate to be getting mine so quickly so anything I can do if it helps out…hopefully this short wait till delivery goes as seamless! Will be great to put any further Lariat conjecture to rest. Will be contacting my dealer VERY soon: Ford Chat saying Jan 7-13 delivery. It's not even close. The seats and head lights alone are completely different, sorry the other added changes don't meet your standards. I will ask the cost could be a honorable mention. Because it not just 1500 more, it's XL to XLT and then 1500 more. I agree 👍 with you the is crazy. But it's definitely not an XL.

@@timothybruggeman9332 Most likely won't. It really sucks that they don't actually give you black seats in a blackout package. Most people do not want the multi-colored seats in the XLS and Lariat so Ford kind of forces their hand with the BAP but falls short of giving people what they really want.

The capacity problems they are having is not how many can get through the assembly line its how many do we have parts for. They could defiantly build more but at this time they don't have the parts to build more and that is where its constrained. they were not trying to do a bait and switch they just offered that if you would like to move to trim or engine that has less parts constraints you may now do so, as it was not an option to switch engine before. sd

you can remove the black appearance package from your order. -SD

Try having them change the interior color first, that will Automatic kick the black appearance package out.

This is a customer vehicle that ordered in July of 2021.

Unfortunately It is not available at this time.

I tried, very hard to get one for msrp. Ford accidentally hit an untapped market with a front wheel drive hybrid pick up at this price. Now toyota and others are trying to get a piece after seeing this. People in comments say "I want 4 wheel or rear wheel or 2 doors, or whatever but this truck as is hits a certain market that car companies did not realize existed.

He is not reading this off, its completely from memory, so there ae some understandable stumbles while he thinks of the right word. thank you for the boost in our algorithm

Cld you normally get lariat lux features on an xl trim?

Xl and black appearance package = black grill black seats black vent trim same door panels black door handles . Black console inserts. All you have to do is buy some wheels and upgrade to imitation leather and it’s pretty close . And your not spending on the cost of the package and the xlt trim and lux trim

@@longmcarthurford it always starts when it needs to use gas, after it leaves electric. Every time you give it more gas, I hear a high pitch ringing noise go off. I made an appointment today but I didn’t know if this was something others were experiencing. I always need to have the radio on otherwise it almost gives me a headache haha. It doesn’t sound like the humming during electric

@@the305hauler headlights, probably the major difference, the XL interior is all black as well. The rear taillight, you can barely see. The black Ford logo can be Ebayed... So get a XL, slaps some black 18", and wait for Black headlight from eBay.. You are good to go..

If you get the black appearance package you get black seats instead of the navy(XLT) and the Brown(Lariat)

sounds totally redundant, the Black paint ford uses is not desirable, seen it a few times on a friends Bronco Sport, I hope you like water spots.

From the video he states the light grey on the dash by the touch screen and the light grey on the door cards have a darker hue- not a huge change. All the navy blue plastics are the same.

you get black accent instead of the orange on XLT and Lariat.

Umm, that vehicle was at the dealership. It was ordered by someone. So obviously, that someone is going to get that very vehicle real soon.

its not just exterior changes the interior has black seats and the accents are no longer orange they are black. so if someone doesn't want the orange in the XLT the BAP is the way to go.
