This was a real treat Liane. Thanks for taking the time to share your entire collection. A lot here to be proud of owning, and writing with for a long time. Happy writing!
Great overview of your collection. It's good to figure out what you like and don't like as much. Nib sizes, colorways, material preferences, etc. And sometimes those change too, thanks for sharing.
I love your fountain pen collection, it's very well curated. You really know what to like. I have a vintage Sheaffer in that same carmine celluloid and I absolutely adore it.
So interesting to see how your tastes have changed. I have a Hurlestone pouch too and it has been a favorite. I think watching your video with Seemownay made me think about mine. I’ve slowed down collecting since getting a couple nicer pens.
I really liked those pen cases, I have to make one or two of those soon! I'm starting my own journey with fountain pens and hopefully have a few more videos out soon about them
@@lianelikes thank you! I have some very unique ball point pens made with colored pencils in them, multiple types of wood, even coffee beans. But I don't know if I can find those in a FP
Nice to see videos from you again Liane. I find your videos very relaxing, you come across as having a very calm nature that I enjoy and share. We also share the same aesthetics in pens! I have a classic black, white with hints of green thing going on.
Thanks so much, Tamara. I certainly try to be as real and "myself" as I can in these videos so it makes me happy to know that my personality comes through. Though to be honest, I'm not always so calm, my kids can attest to that, lol!
You have a lovely collection of well thought out pens there Liane 😊 I too am a big fan of Sailor Shikiori “Tokiwa Matsu” and Teranishi “Opera Rose”. Have a wonderful weekend 😊
It's fun learning about your collection and the reasons for keeping or not. At the SF Pen Show, I got a Maui Estie because it's my home island. Nice to know that you have a similar sentimental attachment to yours. Thank you for this update.
Wonderful video! Loved hearing about and seeing your wonderful fountain pens. Quick question: what would you recommend as a venue to sell no longer needed fountain pens? I would like to sell my Lamy Studio and Pilot Vanishing Point. Any tips for someone who has never sold a pen before? Many thanks in advance ❤
Thank you! I've tried selling on Mercari, Poshmark, Seemownay's Discord, and I've given pens away to friends and family as well. I know folks also have sold pens on eBay but I haven't tried as I'm not very familiar with that platform.
That's a nice little collection. I know I have way too many but can't seem to part with any yet; I'm too attached. And I'm basically the opposite aesthetic as you - the more color or glitter it has, the more I want it. 😂(Though we do actually have four of the same.)
Yayyy I loved every minute of this! We have such similar taste in pens 😊🌚 Where will you be selling your pens? I would love to purchase your twsbi smoke rose gold eco!
Hi Liane, I really enjoyed this video, as I enjoy all of your videos 😊. How would I go about purchasing pens from you? Thank you so much, ~kari in Victoria, BC Canada
Hi Kari! Unfortunately, I've sold all the pens mentioned in the video, which reminds me that I should provide an update in the description box. I will like sell pens on IG @virtualpenshow!
It felt heavy and clunky in my hand and it felt like I had to change my hand grip in a way that it felt uncomfortable. I love the idea of it, I found that I didn't reach for it!
Re: the E95s, it was more the design of the pen. It has great flow and was very reliable, it just came down to aesthetics and I also didn't reach for this pen when it was inked.
@@Lorvina1 I was also thinking of buying the Moonman. It's not as heavy since it's made of plastic and I know you can use to nib component of a VP in a Moonman.
I really love watching pen collection videos. They’re so interesting and thought-provoking. Makes me think about my own pens. May I ask where you sell your pens?
I absolutely love my Hurlestone pen pouches. I have the flower one you have with gold inside and my other is similar to your blue one but it has mustard yellow colors that look almost exactly like the furniture my parents had in the 70's, my mom kept that furniture until I graduated high school in the 90's! It's fun to have it back on my pen pouch.😊❤
Ever thought of buying a pen display case instead of those not so attractive pouches. The boxes are way mor convenient and the display case carry from 36- 100 pens. When will you go to the San Francisco pen show? I go almost every year.
Hope you didn't sell the Al-Star yet, try putting a Lamy gold nib in it. I recommend the M, it writes like a B. Incredibly smooth, definitely worth it.
