Big thanks to Eagle GMC in Homosassa, FL for helping make this review possible! Check out their inventory at eaglebuickgmc.com or give them a call at 352-436-4373. Thanks for watching!
I bought the same exact truck January 2023 and the transmission started giving me problems at 18,000 miles. No towing, off-roading, or crazy driving. The good thing is that GMC is replacing the transmission.
Great to know. Did you pay out of pocket, or roll it into the monthly payments? I think you can do the same with a sunroof. How much did you save having the dealer do it?
Crazy to see the market now! I got a 22' elevation with 3.0l with multipro tailgate, sunroof, blind spot sensors, hd surround vision and just about every package for 60k
That's not bad really considering everything you get. It would be ine of the best looking trucks out there if GM would quit putting f&cking plastic around the wheel wells. Just leave the damn thing the color of the vehicle. Maybe it's just a pet peeve of mine
@@docholliday.4590 You aren’t alone, I have my Sierra in Pacific Blue Metallic, a gorgeous blue especially with the chrome accents but I can’t get over the plastic wheel well trimmings. Looking to get them painted or something.
@@dopeboyp3487 I had seen that, I remember going back to the dealer back in 2020 to have them ordered but they only had select colors at the time and the blue wasn’t one there. However I’ll be checking again when I get a new Sierra sometime this year or next year also in blue lol.
Good review but you can get a lot more options at the elevation trim level with the premium package. You said "but this is just the elevation trim" for multiple options that you CAN get with the elevation.
had a 21 laramie 4x4 i traded for the gm.....the Ram feels like a car, rear end takes bumps better but overall feel was too soft....also you mentioned visibility, the GM imo is alot easier to see around the truck, the bed also in the GM is bigger......closing the doors and tailgate feel better in the GM, just more solid, hated the dial shifter in the Ram........Ram did have unbelievable brakes!...best brakes ive ever felt in a truck, phenomenal actually....and the LED headlights in the Ram were really good......i didnt like having to go into 12" nav to access everything like seats and climate....i know they have buttons for climate but they arent very functional........having had the 2019-2021 GM they did a really good job with new one......everything function really well, i would have liked a column shifter but whateves.......glad to be back in GM, didnt care for the Ram tbh.....like i said it just felt like a car and that turned me off but glad i got to try it out......
Very nice truck. Great thorough review. Thank you. I don’t like the gauges, however. I want to see analog style gauges in addition to the tach and speedo, for at least oil pressure, temperature, battery voltage, and of course fuel. By the way, what is the fuel tank capacity? Is the extra cab and 6-1/2’ bed available in the Elevation?
The 3.0 Duramax is the only way to go. I have a 2022 GMC SLT X31 with one and have no problem getting 32+ mpg on the highway with the same torque as the 6.2, the 2023 has even more hp and torque than the 2022.
damn, i got this same truck in RST version.....same truck with same options and my MSRP was 59k and change....chevy doesnt do $1500 onstar add on.....paid 5k under sticker but 63k is alot for a mid trim.....love elevation but i would just get SLT, for cpl grand more you get alot more stuff and its already 60k anyway, whats a few k more......better value imo........i actually should have just got LTZ, but whateves.....GM did a great job with refresh, i had a 21 elevation in cayenne....beautiful truck
I purchased this same truck two weeks ago. Drove an extra 150 miles to a dealership that didn’t have any markup fees on it but man the interest rate was high
You never get financing through the dealer. Shop around for the lowest rate and get a loan from the bank. Always lower rate than dealer. The dealer told me I couldn't get a lower rate. I had a big smile as I pulled out the check from the bank that was way lower than they were offering.
@@tattoomagic6110 not nowadays . GMC offered me 2.9. they had special financing where my credit union offered 5%. Still not bad considering today's rates but I would never do anything over 4
This is just pathetic to be honest. I hope all car manufacturers crash cause a truck pretty basic is 63k imagine this same truck and same engine used to cost 32k 5 years ago so a couple extra tech things and double the price. Amazing
This is such a tough one for me. On one hand I know these prices are gouged and stretched so bad right now, but I also work pretty high up in a smaller company in the manufacturing industry and I can say that even our employess are making 40% more than they were 5 years ago. We're also charging double for our services compared to 4-5 years ago, and all of our material costs and expenses have gone up exponentially in that time. I 'm not sure what GM's manufacturing costs on a truck like this one, but I guarantee that things have changed enough to where 32k isn't even in the realm of possibility for them. All of that said, 63k is still ridiculous.
I just brought a f1150. This is way I didn’t get a gmc product. No frontal camera, really ..no blind side monitoring really …f150 this is way they sell better ….
Good choice f150s are the most capable trucks on the roads today. I got rid of my 6.2 for the Ford because 3.5 ecoboosts are rocket ships. It felt way faster. It’s my first Ford but so far I’m not disappointed
Oh shit !! I thought you where reviewing an F150 🤣😂🤣 the front end is 99.88 identical 🤣🤣🤣😂 GM always a copy cat's & always following the pack, never leading.
