Yup. American cars just don’t get it. If a 50k Hyundai/Kia gets rear vented seats and 3rd row heated seats in the Hyundai, why can’t this or even something as boujee as an Escalade premium have it?
@@Kazze1 GM rules full size segment, and it’s not even close. They definitely get it. Korea and Japan don’t know how to build a full-size SUV to compete. not saying that that will always be the case but it’s the case right now.
I understand the market is crazy but a $20k increase for a Denali spec seems insane … def would choose the Escalade ESV Sport or Grand Wagoneer for $100k+ - dope review as always though.
What make your review different from others is that, I was looking for a review to test the sound system. Thus, thank you for testing for audience. The other review is amazing, informative, and entertaining.
GM should learn a couple things from the jeep grand Wagoneer like how to make the second row seat go forward with a forward facing car seat still in it. Seat coolers in the second row. In the third row in the jeep grand Wagoneer is way more comfortable than an Escalade Esv, or a Yukon XL. The only thing that GM has done right is stick that diesel motor in there to get 26 mpg.
Uh, I had to watch this review twice,… after Drew said he had never seen Star Wars I was gone on complete mental tangents… am I that old, he’d like some of the designs work in those films/series, wait when did they come out? lmao I then watched again and great review as always, may the force be with you both!
This is, of all the vehicles, my favourite! I’m awaiting arrival of my 2023 Cadillac XT5 sport. But should have waited for this Ultimate model. You will need that cash in the hidden drawer just for fueling up the beast! Loving the new format of your videos. You gentlemen deserve high accolades for all your efforts! Keep up the light humour too, it adds considerably to the viewing! 👍👍
Prices for the 2023 Yukon regular models begin at $57,400 (plus $1,795 freight) for the rear-wheel-drive SLE regular-length model with the base 5.3-liter V-8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission, or $60,500 with four-wheel drive
I really like the ultimate but i need a couple of reasons why to buy this over the escalade considering this is 102 grand. There is little distinguishment in terms of luxury and price. Both offer the same features for relatively the same price for a Escalade sport esv with 4wd+ the 6.2. Thats why it gets more challenging to choose between the 2. This cost 101k and if u option an Escalade sport to this its also 101 grand. I feel like gmc has stepped it a little to close to Cadillacs heels especially when it comes to certain features that this still doesnt offer.
Agreed. Aside from the massaging front seats and maybe super cruise c this doesn’t really offer anything more than an Escalade for the same price. I’d much rather get an Escalade just for the Cadillac badge. Nothing about this car is worth 100K for a GMC…
@@DrChomz Yes I think this is for people who don't want the Cadillac stigma (from their perspective) but want some of the Escalade niceties. There's enough of a gap in there price wise that this can fill it and you don't risk losing sales.
I would choose the wagoner or grand wagoner before this more power and more features and tech u get n more room for the same price or cheaper depending the trim n it still offers more than this thanks for the review guys
So this is 101k and still doesnt have the cooles seats, or sunshades. ill even be grateful for the manual sunshades and heated 3rd row. Its just that for 101k i would expect more. The styling is very, very good. I mean with this color and the accents of the car it makes for a very menacing look. Those wheels absolutely stunning.
OUR family has the Chevy LTZ, so we will trade in for the GMC Yukon Ultimate I love the luxury and the seat, a lot room- great for my basket ball boys with long legs lol- Veterans
No this is more of the $100,000 car for civilians if you don’t like that sport cars that look crazy and is $100,000 and over. This is a perfect price of ALL its features
Oh my ghost in my country Indonesia, The Land Cruiser vxr 100 or Maybe Lexus LX 570 come to biggest luxury SUV. And now i look the GMC Yukon denali ultimate XL, trust the size kill land cruiser and lexus LX 570. Amazing but real
I have the Yukon and to answer your question and its just my opinion but I bet I'm not the only one, Its because the Yukon is so much better looking than the Escalade I think Cadillacs are just so gaudy looking and the cringe reputation of the Escalade
Everything was acceptable (not impressive) until the middle seat fold part. Grand Wagoner L III, with the power folding rear seats (for starters), puts the XL Denali Ultimate to shame, IMO. I'm only checking this out because my Sierra Denali transmission died at 10K miles, and I'm looking at a trade scenario. Might see what non-GMC options are available in the whole auto group.
Vader chrome because it’s black chrome and Darth Vader dresses in all black and has a shiny helmet… even if you’ve never seen star wars (crazy btw), you have to have seen a picture of Darth Vader! HOW
Hands free driving? Yes will definitely need the safety information on a vehicle that big. By the way, “Vader” is just a more socially acceptable way to say “M*r***ed Out”….blacked out. $102,000.00 is a hefty price to pay for an American made vehicle. I hope it lives up to the hype. 👍
Does GMC and Chevy flip a coin each year to see who does amber turn indictors and who does the blinking brake light crap? Tahoe has amber but next year I PROMISE it will be a blinking brake light and the Denali will have amber. Watch!
