Guys, if you're gonna do this don't bother with the ~$20 single-line LED bulb kits with acrylic tubing that you cut up. They aren't very bright or evenly lit, have a discoloration look when off and you can see the imperfections inside the tubes. Believe me, don't bother unless you really don't care about the quality. Pay a bit more and get a $100 kit that has full LED strips with unlimited colors, individual wiring, individual controllers and light up evenly. If you get the full kit you even get round LEDs for the speaker grills. For the effort of installing them correctly I'm going that route after realizing how much I was gonna ghettofy my '22 BRZ when I tried my Aliexpress cheapo set. It's gonna be a project but at least it'll be worth it to do it right, it's not even that difficult, just something you don't want to rush.
When you were doing the sub controller for the passenger side, what did you tap into for power and ground? I can’t find anything to tap into when installing mine
@@truedestroys2136 foot well lights plug in to the main controller, the main controller has a fuse I put in the fuse box under the steering wheel, and grounded it to a bolt there. 12:32
@@inaudible8220did you not need another sub controller for the lights strips/footwell on the passenger side. I think I don’t have as many splitters so I need a sub controller for the footwell lights on the passenger side
@@truedestroys2136 I have not. I do have 2 spare connectors I was thinking of using for either a strip on the dashboard or a diffuser is each of the circle vents. For a strip on the dashboard you should be able to just wedge them in the cracks.
Yep, the kit I used has different packs you can choose from, if you just want doors there's a pack with just strips for the doors and a controller for each one.
I did not, didn't think I'd need to. This whole kit was super DIY and the harness for the door just said to connect them to 12v power so that's what I did.
