That was an excellent review. Good video and music. 50k for a bike I think is steep but I've heard people say "it ain't too expensive I just can't afford" lol. Boy ain't that the truth.

Hi James, thanks for the note. Realistically, this editorial isn't designed to sway would-be buyers. The majority of customers that purchase these vehicles aren't watching/reading content. They are simply buying. Folks that demand the "best of the best" aren't staring at price tags.

Plenty of 60+ year olds who will buy it and wont even put an oil changes worth of miles annually. Others will do 100k miles in no time.

It's not like you get some kind of medal based on how little you spend in life. Better to buy an expensive bike and get out the door to squeeze extra juice out of life than sit around griping.

Not sure why he said this bike has a hydraulic clutch. Unless they changed something specifically for the new CVO (which I don’t think they did) this is definitely a cable clutch which HD implemented on all touring models 2 years ago.

You essentially get every feature this bike has on a $28500 Indian Challenger, a $35000 Indian Pursuit, and a $30000 BMW K1600 or Honda Goldwing.

While not all Harley riders are the sharpest knife in the drawer...you must be doing something right to be able to afford this rascal. As with all luxury items, the market decides the price. If they can sell them at $50k, that's their value like it or not. 😊

@Scootir185 I agree a CVO will sell to a relatively small part of the "community at large." Bikes, in general, are a small community that many on the outside see little value. But many who can't afford the steep buy-in price would still like one if they had a chance. It's that overall desirability that keeps its long-term value. Used CVO'S still seem to get top dollar from what I see. One level of measure is the bank loan value. A CVO has a loan value way more than a basic Harley that has the same level of customization.

But for a majority of us both in and out of the motorcycling community there yet another bloated, over priced Harley that basically looks like all the other bloated, over priced Harley's. If you're not a Harley nerd then the CVO is an overpriced joke.

3" suspension travel only, manual shock adjustment, no electric wind shield, no quick shifter, no heated seats for $50K? This makes Honda GoldWing and BMW K bikes super attractive deals. Even the regular RG and SG with worst specs are not worth the $$$ you're paying. What a lost opportunity for BMW, if they only did not screw up the R18 ergonomics and super heavy and unnecessary weight.

This is a long review. I waited until I had time to watch it without having to break away and it was worth it! I will most likely never buy a CVO but hopefully much of this technology will eventually roll down to other bikes it HD's lineup at some point. Good Job Adam as you covered the features so well making this video well worth the time to watch.

I love the styling of the new Road Glide, they hit it out of the park. Indian's Challenger just never felt right to me, it looked ungainly, oversized with the fairing versus the Road Glides. This new version, very nice. Well done HD.

where im from, a brand new RG cost up to 90k+ and u have to pay additional 10k to use it for only 10 years. once that 10 years is up, u gotta pay either 5k+ for 5 years or 10k+ for another 10 years and it keeps going like that. now imagine how much cars would cost. -.-

I'm seeing the msrp for a 2021 Road glide CVO was $41,399 and 2022 CVO Road Glide was $41,800 so for a 2023 this seems right along the regular price range. I just want to see what parts of that bike they bring to the special and how much they charge for it. I'm liking what I see but yes, that is not a price I would pay for a bike now or in the past although it seems to be worth it from what the people who would pay it are saying. I'm more concerned about first year problems. Looks great! Thanks

That’s what haters aren’t getting. Considering how much more bike this is than anything HD had put out before, it’s amazing they kept cost to that. And a lot of people gripe about the one with the nice paint and they don’t realize how much time and talent it takes to do that. You’d pay more to go to a reputable paint shop and get something similar. I personally will wait until the tech trickles down and let the folks that have to keep up with the Joneses pay for the R&D on it.

Adam thanks for a fair review. As far as the starter, I read Harley intentionaly has the starter sound like that to give that 'ol big radial engine sound.

@AdamWaheed I'm not familiar with those. The one thing I like on a Harley if the starter goes out, it's a relatively easy repair. Yours sounds like a major repair?

@@sportyonetaubert5923 Hey man, great question: the ISG is typically engineered as a component inside the vehicle's altenator. So versus a external starter motor, it could be a more complicated/expensive repair? Only time will tell if the ISG proves more reliable than an external starter motor. Yes they have had the same basic frame since 2009. It's basically a larger FXR frame that is known for it's handling. The King of the baggers racing has to use stock frames, and looks like Harley's are still very competitive with more "modern" frames on the Challenger.

you are RIGHT...my heated GARAGED bike was corroding ...Had to have the rear rim re-plated.front lower forks corroding with less than 8000 miles. Master cylinder covers leaking.Harley wouldn't warranty. NO more new Harleys for me. You're a member of the 'family' before you leave the dealer...after leaving you're treated like a nobody
