Very excited to see what you’re going to do with this bike. Can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have doing it. I will be following its progression with great interest!
I am thinking you should do the following. Nice rotors, inverted front end, cali Baja led front head lights, led lights all around, tbar, hand guards, digital gages, see through air filter, floor boards, reservoir shocks, HPI pipe, chain drive, 135 engine. Cut away tank, maybe swing arm, that would be a good start 😅
Holy dang, you have good friends. Congratulations on this RGST. I can't wait to see this build develop. Wow! Doing the performance bild of this bike, Please post dino numbers pre and post stage 2 please please please? It would be neat to see what a 117 can turn into.
Huge proponent of Dynojet PV3, truly makes tuning after modification so easy vs having to take to a dealer or Dyno shop unless your looking to maximize your power/ torque. I put a stage II in my 19 ultra with S&S 475c, what a huge difference. Keep the great content coming!!
I'd definently do 18" BST carbon wheels front and back, inverted front-end, look at some of the Ohlins suspension with the Kraus moto and Beringer brake calipers, specifically made for the heavier high horse power sport touring bikes, Kraus risers 10" with a kick back, which allows you to have a wide selection of bars you can run, Moonshine Harley actually sells a Kraus gage housing that allows you to still see your screen too, but puts your gauges right in your face if you decided to go there. Moonshine also does some badass exhaust for performance baggers through Fueling with their patented Reversion Chambers they're top shelf, and pricey buuuut, or D&D, or HPI ofcourse....Wish someone would throw me a bike and a budget, I got some ideas...heehee....can't wait to see what you do brother.
That turn signal bar looks like the one on my Street Glide Special. Those reflectors are like HUH? Sweet-looking bike man, can't wait to see what it ends up looking like! :D
Good-Day: Pro-Monkey; What do you think about those leaked photo's of a redesigned Sharknose Fairing, Barwing Fairing, 121 engine,VVT valve and the reviral of the Electra-Glide Highway King.
Back when you mentioned, in a separate video, did I buy the wrong bike? Or some shit like that... I said I thot you'd get a ST. I doubt you'll be happy with that seat. Of course you'll need taller bars, Factory 47s or such in 14in may be to your liking
The seat looks good but is has no juts fit your but or back. Top speed is 105 thanks to it being govenuted. The throttle responce needs to be shortened. My 2022 has nice bones and I love my bike but damn it HD. I love my Gunship Gray and glad I got it.
Some nice tbars as mentioned, get a saddle man step up style seat, lapera, lucky Dave’s, Corbin all make different version of them. Obviously some resi rear shocks taller front suspension, some mx steer floorboards for extra grip. Exhaust wise hpi,stealth,fab28,d&d all make awesome stainless shorty exhausts. A lot of people in the performance bagger world have been doing the Baja designs lp6 lights check out prior performance for that.
So if I’m understanding correctly you got a bike that’s literally a parts bin bike that’s a “special built” edition out of spare parts to build into something that I’m sure is going to be a beautiful ride when you’re done but will probably only have the motor accents left of the ST when done. Seems fine, build it up!
Ok, now I'm really excited and happy for you Monkey. This should be a fun and awesome build to do and for us to watch. Who knows, maybe in 2024 we'll see a Professional Monkey racing team with Advanblack as the main supporter at K.O.T.B. Maybe talk to HARLEY DAVIDSON and see about getting a 135. They were nice enough to give you a 131, and now you need something to replace that empty spot in your heart from the 131. lol
i like that color better than the grey but its still not my preferred color. that is me though, im picky lol. you might as well do the stereo upgrades like on your bike. are you leaving the reflectors on the fork? i know with a cam the 117 is plenty fast..buuuut there is a big bore kit i rarely see for not much money on Harley's website that turns a 107 into a 119, or a 114,117 into a 122. i think that would be cool to do. to me its kind of the "poor mans" big bore kit. even though there is nothing there a poor man could afford lol. it does look like you still have some room if you move all the bikes farther in some more,,,i still see a "path" lol. you may want to look at Kruesi Originals channel. he does a lot of that performance stuff even has a vid on doing it on a budget. just a thought. cool vid man. i think you need about 3 more projects going on....🤣🤣..a bigger garage should be the main project 🤣🤣🤣.
Need to build a pole barn on your property under the guise of an enclosed swimming pool. Nobody will know but us, I promise.. It'll be fine! Enjoy the videos. Keep 'em coming!!
Building a racer is one thing.... Throwing your leg over it and running down the dragstrip in pursuit of glory is another...I have tried to get other RU-vidrs to take an Evo Sporty build a 10 second bracket bike then head to their hometown track taking their fan base on an unforgettable journey... "10 Seconds to Glory"... I've seen enough of the Sportster to adventure bike videos... Let's see an all out campaign from Florida to Bonneville in the near future...
STs are automatic stage II just slip ons and a tuner. That beast on Street Glides and Road Glides came with performance cams from the factory anf geared differently. And yes stock sucks even with that much power, so I made a deal with the delear to add a stage II.....SE Exhaust, SE Ohlins reservoir shocks, Trask Intake, Power Vision, Dominion collection, etc.... lol. I'm glad I gave up sportbikes since Jumping into a Harley a decade ago. Saving up for 135, Harley is finally getting it.....ride safe. Nice video.
@@ProfessionalMonkey It's plenty enough power for me. I actually ride it like a sportbike. But Like I mentioned, I'm saving up for 135, because no matter what I do, after few months it's never enough power. Maybe turbo charge it after 135.
Not meaning to correct you Mr monkey. My 2022 Street Glide is White Sand Pearl it was a new color in 2022 for the Street Glides I don't know about the road glider the CVO but I bought mine in March 2022 and it is White Sand Pearl Street Glide but it's just the standard 107 Street Glide
I've seen every mod you can throw at an ST since I bought mine last year so I can't wait to see what Advanblack comes up with! Have fun with it and ride it like you stole it!!!
@@ProfessionalMonkey first world problems! Lol.....have a great trip to Japan. I am looking forward to some content from your trip. Thanks for all the awesome videos!
The rear tail light bar is the same as it was on the 2006 Street Glide. The Canadian Street Glide/Road Glides have the center tail light light Electra Glide
"What should I do with this?" Do the same thing hot rodders have done for years. Increase the bikes power with a focus on parts which deliver maximum HP over looks. Improve the handling and brakes. Lighten the bike as much as possible. Put some bars on it which are designed for a more aggressive seating position. Consider taking off the current floorboards and replace them with a set of pegs and a shifter designed for aggressive driving. Put some performance rubbers on a light weight rim. If it adds weight to the bike unnecessarily, delete it.
Move away from everything you’ve already done and what so many others have also done a lot. It’s just too typical. Dig deep, find guys who can custom fab specific parts, custom paint, custom wheels, custom exhaust, truly custom parts, hand made parts. Turn this bike into a 100k, rideable bike, after all, it’s being paid for and it may be the only shot to go so far, all out.
Not sure what you mean by licenses aren't available for the 23's. A license is a license. Dynojet doesn't sell them by year or generation. Unless Harley changed the ecm plug again from the 21/22 models, there's no reason a PV wouldn't work on it.
I firmly believe that Harley has a under the table deal with aftermarket seat companies. Stock Harley seats are horrible. They’re not the only manufacturers to have crappy stock seats. My biggest gripe with motorcycle manufacturers.
Is the 117 worth the money? Than just getting a 114 ? Your thoughts ? I know your busy iam going with the harley due to the problems indian is having .. thanks chad munday
when you go to tun it, hit me up and I’ll tell you on the powervision how to get some kick a$$ throttle resoponce. my 117 with a RS468 cam has unbleivable throttle responce with some easy changes
ST seat suuuuucks… worst than the stock seat from my old special…. Engineers must have just rode in HD’s parking lot and decided it was fine…. But its not!!
This video is a little old, but I own a 2o22 in white sand pearl. Just saying you're wrong about this being a new to 23 color. Love the channel and the color.
can i rant for a few seconds? i am a person who buys white vehicles, my 18 ultra classic is not white because they didnt have a white. anyway, why would the Harley dealership change the tail light to clear then put red saddle bag lights on it and leave the turn signals amber? the dealership is lucky you got it.
