The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles (Director Sangwon Jung) hosted the "2023 Holiday Korean Spirits” at the Zipper Concert Hall in downtown LA on Thursday, November 30th at 7:00 PM.
This event provided an opportunity to see performances by traditional Korean performing arts groups in one place, consistently promoting Korea's traditional arts in Southern California. The performance featured various traditional music and dance, including the presentation of "Taryeong," a piece from the Korean traditional royal music ‘Jeongak’, ‘Fan Dance’, ‘Jindo Bukchum’, Sinawi (performed improvisationally by a Korean traditional musical ensemble), and Seoljanggu Dance, Geomungo Solo, Taepyeongmu, Pansori, JinSoe Dance, and Gyeonggi Minyo showcased.
The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles plans to continue promoting Korean culture within the local American community through diverse programs featuring various sports, stories, and cultural arts content from Korea.
