We call our Stargazer Ms. Michin, because of its alarms, driving aids, and other warning devices. While its annoying at times, its really suitable as a family vehicle. As to safety 10/10.
Got a chance to test drive all MPV's and compare them all. The best talaga ang Stargazer sa Driving experience and Space. Then we rented a stargazer GLS premium. Loaded kami sa Family namin 7 kami lahat sa kotse. At pa akyat. Hindi talaga Bitin sa power at fuel efficient pa kahit na traffic kami at maraming akyatan yet efficient parin. And also as what caco said the NVH is superb, ang tamihik nya sa Highway minimal lang yung tire noise and wind noise. The IVT is excellent, it's responsive and efficient unlike sa Ibang CVT na parang may delay at rubber band feeling na medyo slow yung response. My family fell in love with this MPV sa comfort na experience namin. soon bibili kami nito this 2024. At first, hindi ako na impressed sa Front designed parang weird. But matagal kun nakita. Maganda sya kasi hindi sya Common and futuristic yung design. Hyundai's parts and reliability laking improved na over the years. Marami naman Kia's and Hyundai tumakbo pa. At yung tita ko my hyundai. 10 years ma yung elantra and tucson niya. So far so good as long maintained lang. Mas sirain pa nga Ford Territory namin kaysa Hyundai creta ng Cousin ko. Kahit mag check pa kayo sa Ford Territory group namin. Daming issues nangyari sa Terri namin😢.
Pretty impressive review. Thanks Caco! I'm super happy with our Suzuki XL7 2021 (bought it at PHP 1.068M which in hindsight seems super cheap!). It's now PHP 1.181M with no added features. This Stargazer variant (just add PHP 100K plus more) has a CVT, cruise control, different types of driving mode, lots of space inside and really efficient fuel engine and a bit more power than our XL7. If I was on tje market now for a new MPV, I would definitely consider this vehicle and wouldn't mind spending a little bit more! Sulit siya!
Cvt is a feature now?? I thought everybody was warning us about cvts and that they don't last long and not reliable like regular automatics And definetly will not handle extra wieght very well if you put extra luggage on top of the car
A comparo between this, the Veloz and the BR-V would be nice. Add in the Expander too but sadly, that lacks the features that the first 3 vehicles have in terms of driving aids and will put it at a huge disadvantage.
Veloz underpowered but have great safety features, BR-V good power good features good safety but most expensive in all three, Xpander underpowered lack features lacks safety, and lastly Stargazer good features good power good safety good price.. So Stargazer is the best in this segment (not all will be impressed on stargazer exterior design tho)
Can't wait for the Ultimate Comparo (MPV) BRV vs. Xpander vs. Veloz vs. Livina vs. Ertiga and this Stargazer. Make this happen @Autodeal please 🙏🙏🙏 PS~ Alam naman natin lahat na parang may make-up lang na Xpander GLS ang Xpander Cross compare sa GLS variant but bit pricey than the regular variant🤣
Ahhh, yes. The Stargazer. Especially the GLS Premium variant. My ultimate TOTGA. Why TOTGA? Last year we were on a search for a new, well-equipped MPV. The Xpander GLS first came to our minds, although we were also considering the Veloz, not thinking much about either getting the G or V variant. But it was already the latter half of the year, and it was around that time when Hyundai announced bringing in the Stargazer, which first made an appearance in Indonesia. So I checked it out, the actual photos and videos of the Stargazer in Indonesia, and ohhh boy does it somehow look like the Xpander, but with smoother curves and an ultra-futuristic design language. I told my parents and older brother, “should we wait for the Stargazer?” to which they were affirmative of. And it was around November when Hyundai officially made available this model here in our country. We were excited. Right before our very eyes was this all-new, brand-new model, one that we Pinoys have never seen before. From the outside to the inside, everything is just… 👌🏻. But the most exciting part was when we took this for a test drive. It was the best. driving. MPV. ever. Much more comfortable than the Xpander and Veloz. Interior space, being the most important factor when considering an MPV, was best manifested in the Stargazer. Much headroom, legroom, and width-simply, the most spacious MPV in our market today. I knew I was really gonna fall in love with it. Ditto for my mother and older brother. Until December came and we the family got ourselves a Christmas gift… on a 3 vs 1 vote… We got the Xpander GLS. They still decided the Xpander, I was the only one crazy about the Stargazer. It was mom who had the ultimate decision for us all. She cited the Xpander’s high ground clearance (and that alone) as her biggest deciding factor to get the Xpander over the Stargazer. No, she wasn’t convinced with the more powerful engine, IVT, futuristic design, and more safety and tech features found in the Stargazer. It was the ground clearance she was most concerned about. Ultimately, she described the Stargazer as “like a sedan but taller and longer”. Comfortable, yet with low ground clearance. Older brother cited practicality at a lower price as the Xpander’s strength over the Stargazer, looking at additional technology features as “gimmicks”. Father, who is abroad, cited the Mitsubishi branding and the Xpander’s long run in the PH MPV market as its advantage over the Stargazer. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do love our Xpander who is already 5 months old as of this posting. It does serve our purpose of getting an MPV. It’s just… everytime I see Stargazers plying the streets, I can’t help myself but think of them as The One That Got Away. 🥺 And I feel really, really bad for people buying an Xpander Cross over the Stargazer GLS Premium-they wasted more money but still get less practical, safety, and technology features than the Hyundai MPV. And it seems that the Xpander Cross, despite coming later than the Stargazer GLS Premium, is more popular and there are more of them on the roads. I’m talking about the new, refreshed, 2023 model here. Maybe they also cared about the high ground clearance? The SUV-ish appearance? The Mitsubishi branding? I can’t dictate for all but I believe the Stargazer GLS Premium is the best top-of-the-line MPV one can get right now. I’m more than confident to call it an Xpander/Veloz killer. 👊🏻
Galing ng pagkasulat mo, sir! Napabasa talaga ako bakit TOTGA para sa inyo ang stargazer. Maybe in the future, stargazer na yung kukunin nyo na para sa inyo talaga.
Such informative content....thank you for this...a very big help for someone planning to buy this vehicle....I adore this vehicle so much....wanna have one soon😊
Looks like xpander and livina. At night this stargazer really looks great, cool tail lights and fancy lights in front but during daylight the car looks really weird I dont if it just me but it looks like a mammal to me. 😅
Likewise, I think it looks as if a Hiace's front is made to look sporty, which is extremely weird and unappealing to me. I don't like the overall shape of this otherwise wonderful MPV that I'd rate to be above the Veloz and Xpander.
Why does the one I saw in another video, a showcase at Bangkok the dashboard is different and have automatic climate control? Why we dont have that here in PH?
Exterior really looks nice practicality…, yes it is. However, i am into the interior design, being a driver looking at that dash driving, not really my type. Good thing it is under a famous brand if not, i wont even bother looking at this car.
Stargazer is easily the best. Here in Indonesia Veloz is more expensive than Xpander and Stargazer despite its features are more or less the same as the Stargazer, people buy Xpander because it's comfortable, that's it.
For my observation specially,.In the dash of this one this one the STARGAZING is a downer Nuffsaid,.But the one that I love or what I love about this car is the back tail lights because of its futurist looks And it not only looks,. Futuristic but it's also cool to look at too That's what I like and love about this car,. Despite the bad looks of the dash that's the only one that I don't like too of it
I don't know if it's just me but I find the transition music to loud compared to the vocals. I'm ending up putting the volume down whenever there is a transition music and increasing the volume as you do the review. just my 2 cents. But as Always review is very very helpful and informative
The AC controller is still with knobs? Isn't this the highest trim? Indonesia version is all digital. And also need to try the 6sp manual version. It is awesome, but only available on 2 lowest trims. Without all the high tech features, sad.
My problem owning a Hyundai is that the aftermarket is just terrible, parts that I ordered will arrive after 4 months sometimes 6. Chinese manufacturers got better service. If you want a 7 seater, I recommend the Suzuki XL7 or Mitsubishi Xpander Cross. Skip this brand.
Wonderful review. We might get this car here in India soon. Ofcourse in right hand drive😅. Just a quick question. Is the CVT paired to the ICE via a torque converter or is there some kind of a dry clutch in place? Thanks 🙏
