I'm honestly a little surprised they didn't just go with the Dyna-MIX system that's already on the 3-single-coil AZES, but I like what they're doing with this - although I think it'd be even better if it also had the "parallel-connect these pickups" modes so you could get a humbucker-y blend. More options, more better, right?

It’s a cool concept, but the dynamix system would have been much better. If I’m on the bridge pick-up, adding in the neck pick-up would be great, without having to bring in the middle pick-up first. Having some series/parallel options is what sets the AZ range apart. Without that, I might as well just buy a decent Mexican Strat and pocket the change.

With all due respect, if you are seriously hesitating in between an Ibanez AZ Prestige and a Fender Strat MIM… then yes, you should definitely go with the latter. When you’ll be ready for an AZ Prestige, there will be no doubt in your mind 😊

Well if you can't tell the difference between a high end guitar and a middle grade one.. Go for the latter yeah definitely.. Are you a high level player? In my opinion, it's not easy for a middle grade player to really make the difference.. To each it's own. I read forums where guys say, I bought a Suhr, sold it, then got a Fender Ultra, then the AZ Prestige, and writes pages and pages of comments about the guitars that costs 2000 or more.. Having a ton of technical words on the builds, and all that cork sniffing bullshit. Then posts a video of him playing, and has a very very low level playing, afwul timing, flat or sharp bends😮 Then I see buddy of mine who doesn't give a f... about all this internet gear craze, and rips off on my Mexican Fender Stratocaster.. I mean the real deal jaw dropping playing So yeah get the MIM😅😂

Is it me or does it sound overly woofy and strident when OD engaged? Does it come from the amp or something? The playing is very good and all, but the sound is really subpar, not glassy and not straty.. Hope this is because of the amp?

I’ve owned two AZs and they were beautiful. But they couldn’t stay in tune! Not the same with my Fenders. As for Suhr, I don’t think they’re all that worried, they can barely keep up with the orders.

@@aliassaid6398 There are plenty of videos on youtube and accounts on forums... In my case, I had two different AZ2204's that rattled like hell (high frets!) even with 2.2mm action at the 12th fret and would not stay in tune after a lot of bending... let alone using the trem! A flutter would kill the tuning. I lubricated everything, I checked the nut, the saddles... Something must have been wrong. I know not every guitar will be the same and a lot of people love them and use them regularly, but I think QC is poor and too many inadequate or barely-good units get into the market. Shame, because it was my fav guitar.
