2023 in notebooks. Commonplace, Hobonichi and bullet journaling. 

I have always loved stationary too!! Like even as a little girl, I was all about it. I am so glad there are other people like us!

This is so crazy because I had a Cousin and I really liked it but I needed a planner I could carry around with me. I got the weeks and that is what I am using now but I feel like 2 pages per week is just NOT enough for me. Now I am thinking that the A6 Avec is maybe going to work because I get a little space for each day and typically I have always been a daily planner since when I started Bullet Journaling and even when I was in the cousin I mostly ignored the weekly. I have enjoyed having a bird's eye view of the week with the Hobonichi Weeks though and I think having to flip between pages in the A6 might get a little frustrating but I think I am going to try the A6 in January. If I like it I'll keep it and if I don't ill back plan into the Weeks and whichever one is not my planner is going to be my journal!

This is so weird. You’ve gone through so many of the same processes as I have. This video is actually super helpful because you’ve even gone through some things that I’ve only thought about thus far, and therefore saved me the time and money of trying it myself. I’m an introverted neurodivergent dude that’s into planning (and pens and paper and covers and leather and other pricey stuff lol) and I’m pretty isolated in it. This internal back and forth makes me wonder if I’m legit crazy, until I see y’all explaining the same thought process. So either I’m not crazy, or we all are 😂 Thanks for sharing! I really liked ALL of your planners. I totally understand the planner hopping. I love the covers too. What brand are the tan covers that aren’t Moterm?

I hate to throw another planner into the mix but I’m trying take a note planner in two sizes a5 and a6 for 2024….

Seeing videos like this reminds me of why I love digital planning. All the planner hopping I see from you RU-vid planner people is enough to give me whiplash 😂😂. My cure for planner hopping is having one GoodNotes digital planner that I use on my iPad. Using my iPad and Apple Pencil gives me the feeling of still hand writing, but the ability to buy cheap templates on Etsy anytime I want to change my layout. Instead of wasting $40- $60 on buying different planers that I won’t use, I spend only a few dollars. So if the layout doesn’t work for me I haven’t wasted a bunch of money. I have one planner, but multiple paper journals to satisfy my desire to use paper. All of my journaling takes place in undated journals. I notice that a lot of planner people use dated notebooks for their journaling and I think that is what trips them up. But that is just my opinion🤷🏽‍♀️.
